I always order the Mul naengmyeon, which is delicious here, and the banchan never disappoints. I have had the bulgoki, and the kimchi jigae, which are also good, but the mul naengmyeon is my favorite. The buckwheat cold tea is delicious too. I am not Korean, but my father has taught me the basics, and they are very tolerant of my meager attempts to communicate in Korean, especially when I'm trying to remember the name of a dish and there isn't a picture of it on the menu. One thing I want to add--when they see my daughter with me, they always include some non-spicy banchan, and always give her extra attention, which she loves. Lunchtime visit. I got the #1 the LA BBQ Beef Rib. It was such a huge portion I took the rest home for dinner! Delicious and very saucy! The banchan was also fantastic! Not sure if it varies by day but I got kimchi radish, fish cake, kimchi, macaroni salad, kelp and a few other bits that I can't recall. This place used to be so much better (although it has changed names and owners many times in the last several years.) The actual restaurant and decor has always stayed the same but the food has taken a bit of a dive for sure. We ordered the spicy squid which was pretty good, as well as the spicy tofu soup and that as not great at all. Very bland and mediocre at best. Disappointed, but it's also the first time I've been back to eat here since I moved away from Vegas years ago. Maybe my expectations were too high based on nostalgia? The strip mall this place is at is barren, but the food here is pretty good. They don't skimp on the banchan and refill it without charging you (they even had the hotdog banchan when we were there). Got the kimchi jjigae and my husband got the bibimbap, both were delicious. As our food arrived an auntie asked my husband if he knew how to stir his bibimbap properly and before he could answer, she'd reached over, grabbed a spoon and was mixing it up for him - had us smiling and laughing, what an honor and a privilege. We paid $90, but she refused, so she wrote us an extra sheet, on which 15% was written and another 18% was written. Finally, the total price was 146 more. At the time, I thought the math I was studying might be fake. How the number 146 came to be. Then I looked at the actual price of the order and asked about GST. Finally confirm with her that a 15% tip is OK? She said yes, and we ended up paying $95. Maybe 10% is a little low for my lunch. But the total price tells me that 146 dollars is not too much? As soon as we walked in, a lady greeted us with a warm smile and welcomed us in. The restaurant is humble and cozy. Water was served promptly with the menu. The menu is traditional Korean, not Americanized like the AYCE Korean BBQ places around town. We ordered a kimchi stew and spicy beef stew (yukgyejang). 7 side dishes/banchan came out shortly after and each one was delicious and seasoned perfectly. Kimchi tasted homemade, not store bought, and it was delicious. Pickled radish and carrot with seaweed was fresh and vinegary - just how I like it. There were also stir fried fish cakes, bean sprouts, cucumber kimchi, soy sauce simmered potatoes, and Macaroni. All were fresh and delicious and you can clearly tell every dish was made with attention and care. The spicy beef stew had massive portions, and was full of beef, vegetables, and glass noodles. Kimchi stew had homemade kimchi with pork belly. The kind server lady checked in on us, and refilled our side dishes and rice at no extra charge. She also asked where we were visiting from and made small talk with us. When I'm homesick for Korea, there's nothing more heartwarming than having a Korean auntie making sure you have a delicious and filling meal to eat. If you want authentic and delicious korean food, definitely check out Madang Garden! Across the street is a korean sauna (Jjimjilbang) Imperial Spa, where you can go before and after your meal for the full Korean experience! :) I can't wait to come back to Vegas and visit Madang again. Absolutely stellar Korean food in my opinion. Every dish in the banchan selection is fresh and delicious. Best kimchi I've had. They usually have green onion pancake in the banchan which is awesome. I like that the menu isn't all trendy like the spots in Chinatown, it's just classic Korean cuisine. The clientele is mostly Koreans speaking Korean, and there is Korean news on the television, so it feels like taking a trip to a small family restaurant in Korea. The prices have gone up since Covid but that's true of everywhere, and the food is still worth it at the new prices. Definitely try this place if you are a fan of Korean food. read more

The spicy food tends to be very spicy, but overall, the food was pretty good, and the restaurant was very accommodating for our large party size (we had about 15 people plus a baby). The fact that there are only a handful of Yelp reviews says it all about who comes here...older Korean Korean folks..and they were all leaving raving about the meal and service, as did we. Talented cook, friendly waitresses, attentive owner made for an amazing meal...and impressively CLEAN bathroom! My family and I were in the area when we passed by so we decided to give this place a shot. Upon arrival it was looking a bit barren and I wasn't too sure how I was feeling however, you don't judge a book by its cover. You also don't judge a restaurant by its appearance in an empty lot, you judge it by the quality of everything going on inside. And inside this little spot called Madang Garden was greatness. Our waitress Yun (or Youn, Yune, Yoon, etc..) was seemingly the only person working front of house which I can imagine how detrimental that would be on busy days however, only one other family was eating inside the restaurant at the time. Yun was incredibly helpful and although it seemed there was a bit of a language barrier she wasn't afraid of taking out her dictionary to help us understand. The food was a bit pricey but for the quantity received I believe it was justified, a perfect spot to split an order between two people. Speaking of orders we got the beef short rib and bulgogi which were both cooked very well and seasoned awesomely. I would say the short rib had a slight edge on the bulgogi but you really can't go wrong with either. The food was served in good timing and everything came complimentary with the typical rice bowl, macaroni salad, picked cucumbers, kimchi, etc.. the pickled cucumbers and mac salad were my personal favorites. If this was everything, I would have left my review off by giving this place 4 stars saying it was really good. However, I need to circle back to the customer service because on top of everything stated prior Yun was also incredibly funny with good banter with the table. Although she was very busy she still found time to refill sides and ask how everything was. If you are looking for authentic Korean food in Las Vegas, this restaurant does not disappoint. Wow. Just wow!! I ordered the fried spicy pork and it was served in the traditional style with delicious kimchi side dishes. The Kimchi was some of the best I have had with a clean, tangy, and slightly sweet taste. I asked the server and she said they make their own. Figures. The BBQ fried pork was perfectly seasoned as well. Most of the people in the restaurant on a Friday night were groups of men speaking Korean, and at another table, group of older women speaking only Korean. Other customers looked like military couples using short polite phrases in Korean. The restaurant has a big screen TV on one wall airing Korean news and programming. The menu is in Korean and English, and the wait staff couldn't be more kind and helpful. I closed my eyes when I ate because the food was so delicious and I felt like I was transported to a restaurant in South Korea. The location is in a cluster of businesses and restaurants BEHIND Sahara Blvd. You can't see it from Sahara but if you turn down the street, you will see it clearly in the middle island of the retail complex. It's so worth the drive off the strip. This restaurant will be on the top of my list of ones to return to on future visits to Las Vegas. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone needing a Korean food fix and who is looking for authentic Korean food with an authentic Korean atmosphere here in the United States. read more
