I've been here quite a few times but realized I've never actually written a review, so here it is! We came by on a Thursday evening and made a reservation online ahead of time (highly recommend, since evenings can get busy). We arrived about 15 minutes early and were seated right away, which was a great start to the experience. Since we checked the menu beforehand, we already knew what we wanted: the Furikake Fries, Hamburger Steak, and the Sakana No Nitsuke Miso Butterfish. The Furikake Fries were a hit. It was perfectly golden and crispy, topped with furikake and paired with a spicy & wasabi aioli that brought everything together. Honestly, I just wish there was a little more of it!Rating: 5/5 The Hamburger Steak came with two generous patties, onions, gravy, rice, and mac salad. The patties themselves were flavorful and satisfying, but the mac salad was a bit underwhelming. It was slightly dry and lacking seasoning. We made a reservation and still had to wait additional 15mins to get to our table! I felt bad for the families that walked up to be on the waitlist, sorry for the wait! FOOD: Loco Moco was very savory and really matched my palate, one of the better loco mocos i've had around the island Chili Tofu is on the 604 all items menu which means $6.04 for this, came out cold which is normal and came packing a punch with umami! I love kimchi, Taegu and tofu, literally this dish was made for me Mini Kalua Pork Nachos was alright. Most disappointing item of the 3 I ordered. Chips were already soggy when landed on the table. Pork was kinda chunky and hard instead of pull apart soft. Cheese sauce really threw me off, tastes plasticy and did not need to be on there, they should've subbed it with shredded cheese melted on top instead of that sauce. Service is also great! From the host to the server to the bidder and managers! they were all so friendly and professional! I felt taken care of which is exactly they do right! TERRIBLE SERVICE! We should be reimbursed our gratuity and let me tell you why... We had a table of 30 people, they gave away our extra table so when our remaining 5 people came in, guess what they didn't have a place to sit after they TOLD us that we could use that table for our people who were still arriving... And then, she took half of our people's orders, and then took another table's orders... meanwhile we sat there for an hour!!! And half of our table got their food and we STILL HAD NOT EVEN ORDERED YET... She literally was like oh, I'm getting group gratuity so I don't have to give them good service! But I'm going to take care of my individual tables so I can get tips from them! This place is ridiculous. I should have said something about this waitress when I was there but honestly I just wanted to get out of there as soon as possible. She's lucky she got gratuity cause I wouldn't have tipped her at all which is rare for me as a prior waitress myself, I always tip! Came on a Saturday night about 6:15 with 7 of us. We waited an hour for a table. I get that Sat nights are busy, but the Mgr said he'd throw in some appetizers for our wait but never. Good thing appetizers were $6.04/each (major plus). The view overlooking the harbor is beautiful, but the vibe is more like a bar, from the surf decor to the servers in black tanks & shorts, to the loud music! Live music was great except way too loud. Amplifiers or whatever were louder than the musicians voices which was sad bc they sound so good! Sadder that it was hard to hear each other talk at our table without yelling to each other. Service was slow as you probably guessed with them being busy and seemed short staffed. The food took about the same time as it did to seat us. Altogether we had: Burger - good, charred, but the patty needed seasoning. The fries were really oily, everyone said that at our table. Spicy garlic chicken - pretty good, not too spicy itself but came with jalapeño slices Spring rolls - good, 8 small pieces but $6 remember Chicken katsu - good Loco moco - good Ribeye steak - med rare very tender inside & charred outside. The mash potatoes were too liquidy & didn't taste good Cuban sandwich - very good except the sauce on top throws it off. The owners should really listen to all the negative reviews and keep the sauce on the side! We were double charged for alcohol which took long for the server to correct it. Cashing out took very long period, it seemed like our server was on meal break. The bathroom was clean. Restaurant was clean. They had lots of signs with discount days and deals like kids eat free Sunday 10am - 2pm (may come back for that). Location is easy to find, go all the way right of the Arizona Memorial entrance, restaurant is on the 2nd floor. Throwback: i really loved when it used to be Schooners they had a really good lunch buffet and not loud music. I don't recommend coming on live music nights (Thurs, Fri, Sat) for a nice enjoyable meal or intimate gathering, but good if you like the bar scene. This was a perfect lunch spot after our Pearl Harbor tour. The outdoor seating overlooks the water for a wonderful open air view. Our waitress was attentive and helpful, she recommended the ahi tuna dishes as she said they were locally caught and brought in fresh every morning. The ahi katsu was delicious and perfectly prepared. The poke bowl was also very good. They also have a "6.04" menu of small plates - we tried the spring rolls and spicy garlic chicken. I love that it served on a bed of crispy one ton pis and drizzled with unagi sauce that enhances the entire flavor. Great location, near the Arizona Memorial. Lots of free parking and the view overlooking the harbor is so relaxing. Service has always been fast and helpful. While you're there try their Cocojito. We all ordered different t items to try. The salmon was good but cooked just a tad too long. Same for the mayo fish tacos. The kid enjoyed his juried and fries and the hubs his garlic chicken. I want to start by saying our waitress was very kind, attentive, and professional throughout the entire experience. Unfortunately, the issue was with how management handled the situation. We waited over an hour for our food while tables around us that ordered later were served first. I had informed the staff beforehand that I have Celiac Disease and needed my meal prepared carefully to avoid cross-contamination. I ordered the kalua pork with rice and a green salad. When the food finally arrived, I used my Nima Gluten Sensor on a sample that included rice, kalua pork, and a small amount of the honey-ginger vinaigrette served with the meal. The sensor detected gluten/cross-contamination in the sample. I understand that mistakes can happen, especially with gluten-free orders. What was disappointing was the response from management. When I brought up the positive test result and my concerns about cross-contact, the manager simply responded, "It does not contain gluten," without any apology or acknowledgment of the medical concern. Even as we were leaving the restaurant, there was still no apology or attempt to address the situation further. Again, I appreciate our waitress for being kind and trying her best. I just wish management had handled the situation with more empathy and professionalism. read more

One of my friends and I have been to the Arizona Memorial, so we decided to let the other 4 see the museum. He & I went to 604 to grab a snack and drinks. We had kalua nachos, their signature bloody mary and beers. The nachos were ok. Too bad they arrived lukewarm. On the other hand, the bloody mary was very good. It was spicy, had nice items on the skewers, and it packed a punch. Regarding the ambiance, its upstairs and very casual here. There is a great view of the harbor and boats. The bar has plenty of seats for guys like us looking for a drink and snack. Angelo was a super nice guy and showed a lot of Aloha. He was the only bartender, and the place was packed. He had to service all the peeps at the bar, as well as make drinks for the restaurant customers. I would definitely return if I was in the area. Didn't like a drink I typically love and she comped it on her own and brought me something else: an amazing Bloody Mary. So yeah. I believe they're the best here. The salmon bombs were fantastic. It was my first time being here, after getting invited by a Shipyard coworker. There was tons of parking, a good choice I'd assume if you wanted to watch a game since they have TVs everywhere. The staff was kind, unfortunately didn't get my waitress. My coworker has been here a lot only for the lava flow and Poke Nachos. I got the Ahi Katsu w greens. Personally not worth the price for it. ($27) The sauce paired with it wasn't too bad and had a a hidden wasabi flare that wasn't too over powering. But this portion wasn't filling personally, the katsu itself wasn't addicting for a lack of better word. The rice was absolute hard and I wasn't able to eat it even trying to put some of the sauce to soften it. For the Ahi Poke, that was delicious but $26 was kinda pricey as well. I did like that the chips itself wasn't oily at all and was crispy. The lava flow was my favorite part of my late lunch. Personally, it was one of the best ones I had as I've been to countless places for it. The scenery was nice, I did like over looking a boat pier and seeing the road to ford island. Food is mediocre and the cocktails are not tasty. My drinks, the Mahalo Margarita and the 604 somewhere both tasted like pure alcohol with no significant taste profile at all. I drink often enough, and even the worst bars have drinks with flavor to them. The food was fine enough. My Kalia pig came with rice that had no sauce on it, just plain rice. It needed some teriyaki or something. The katsu chicken was good, and I would get that if I returned. The staff and atmosphere were good. The service was pretty good, although my meal was served before my drinks which was a huge bummer. Very disappointed with last visit! I have been frequently this location since before it was 604. On 5/16 I attended a farewell dinner with approx 20 people. Before I sat down I made a reservation for the next day 5/17 for 2pm for a farewell luncheon for a totally different group. I got a confirmation email. On 5/17, I got tied up at work and was going to arrive approx 25 min late. Half of our party had arrived and asked to be seated under my name. For over 30 minutes they were told that there were no reservations in my name. All the while I'm getting text messages telling me that my table was ready. Even as I'm pulling up- still messages. My party eventually got seated. I asked to speak to the manager when I arrived. He pulled up the reservation immediately and apologized saying he did not know what happened. He said he'd talk to his staff. That was it. No free appetizers or any comp whatsoever. When the server delivered our food- we had no silverware or napkins. Waited 10 more minutes for that. There are to many nice locations on this island for gatherings. I will think twice about booking this location for a function in the future. read more

Restaurant 604 is one of our family's go to! We enjoy a variety of their appetizers such as the calamari and kalua pig nachos. I also like their spinach artichoke dip! I can honestly just eat their appetizers when I go there and be satisfied haha. For my recent visit, I ordered the braised Asian style boneless short ribs as my entree and it was pretty good. The meat was tender, the gravy was nice and savory and you can't go wrong with mashed potatoes. I didn't care for the side of sautéed vegetables since I'm not a fan of red bell peppers. I do wish though that the portion was bigger, especially for being over $30. Overall, I do really like this place but more for their appetizers.
