There was enough filling to satisfy each bite with almondy goodness. Both were not overly sweet which ruins most pastries. I wish the products weren't as pricey as they are and that there would be incentives for purchasing more than one item, items when they are packing up for the day, or day-olds. We came on Halloween and I was heating up in my costume so this cooled me down. It's opened on Saturdays from 9am to 2pm in September through May, and 8am to 11am in June to August. I was told all the chicken eggs sell within the first hour, so get there right at opening. It's located in the old Sears parking lot at the Arrowhead Mall. Bring your reusable bags, and have fun meeting all of the local vendors! My favorite were the goats, though they should definitely be given more space to run around. I also loved the Beal Beans couple, they were very friendly and knowledgeable about their roasts, and grinded their beans I bought from them for me since I don't have a grinder at home. I've been shopping with them for years, mostly at the Uptown Farmers Market, and it's become a non-negotiable part of my weekend routine. Their fruits and veggies? On another level. I'm just telling you that once you taste their organic produce, it ruins the grocery store for you. I'm not being dramatic...okay maybe a little...but seriously, everything just tastes better.
