The food is always flavorful at E-Tang! The portions are usually large, shareable portions. The staff is friendly and food is made quickly! We ordered a very savory and delicious soup from the current specials menu. It had fish, beef slices, mushrooms, cabbage and more. I highly recommend! We also ordered Pork soup dumplings. The soup dumplings are a must when going to E-Tang! (Cutest bathroom sink!)

Felt that our dinner E-tang was a little hit or miss. Some dishes were spot on, others were straight up bad. For the good - the general tso jumbo shrimp and shrimp soup dumplings were very good, would recommend these. They had an employee freshly making dumplings behind the bar the entire time we were there , so you know they must be a popular item, and rightly so. The lo mein was average, shrimp inside them weren't as good as general tso. The flaming fish was just bad. I don't know what fish they're using, but it was spongy and gross - no one liked it. Wouldn't recommend getting any fish dishes from them. It's too bad because it looks good. All in, I would consider coming back, but only for specific things. I overall like other places in Savannah for Chinese more.

We love E-Tang! First visited last year during our annual Savannah trip and made sure to stop by again. Located inside a shopping plaza you walk into another building to find the restaurant. Simple decorations, not too large so be prepared to wait if you have a large party. Service is always quick and the food is always fresh and delicious.

I don't even know where to start. We arrived on a very busy Saturday night with no reservation and were able to be seated after a very short wait. The staff was very kind and attentive, and the food was the best we have had during our weekend trip to Savannah. The pork soup dumplings were so delicious my kids asked for a 2nd order before we finished the first one. We had the pork soup dumplings (2x), fried pork pot stickers (it's not a pan fry, I would like to try steamed in the future), the cucumbers, the green beans, chicken fried rice and meatballs. We were thinking Savannah would be a stop in the future if it were on the way. We will now come back just for dinner at E-Tang again. It was the best service and food we experienced during our trip.

Service here was super fast and friendly. They came to take our orders so timely. We got the golden fish soup, pork soup dumplings and the beef pot. Food also came out very fast. I would say the skin on the soup dumplings were a little too thick but the soup inside was flavorful! The golden fish soup was okay, probably just not for me but the fish seemed pretty fresh. The beef pot was fragrant and had a good amount of spice to it and also came with lots of vegetables. Overall a solid Asian spot in Savannah.

Wow! Great Chinese restaurant with authentic food and uplifting staff. Our server answered all of our questions and recommended some really great, fresh, flavorful food. The dumplings were tasty, and not greasy at all. The beef with veggies was our favorite. It was healthy yet flavorful and with the perfect amount of spice. The crispy chicken was good, I only wish I would've know it was fried since I was trying to eat less calories. But I should've asked and the name literally says crispy. I wish I had room for dessert. It was super busy which is always a good sign.

We tried Etang a couple of weeks ago with a group of four and were really impressed. We ordered the bao, handmade soup dumplings, orange chicken, and beef and broccoli. The orange chicken and beef and broccoli each came with a bowl of rice, and the portions on the main dishes were huge. The orange chicken alone was enough for two adults and a nine-year-old to comfortably share. The orange chicken was absolutely delicious--crispy, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. The beef and broccoli had a rich, savory taste and was cooked really well. The bao were comforting and satisfying, and the soup dumplings were clearly handmade--you could literally watch them being made fresh, which was a great touch. Another big plus: they do not use peanut oil, so anyone with a peanut or peanut-oil allergy can safely eat here, which is hard to find and very appreciated. We were seated right away and drinks were brought. Once the food was delivered though no one came back to refill drinks, bring more rice or check on us. That was the only draw back. Everything tasted fresh and thoughtfully prepared. For four people and four drinks, the total was about $80, which felt very reasonable for the quality and portion sizes. The food was absolutely phenomenal--so good that we're already planning to go back soon.

I've been thinking about eating soup dumplings for a long time, and I'm so glad I finally found this spot. The soup dumplings were juicy, flavorful, and clearly freshly made.

Came here for lunch and was craving for dumplings. The restaurant was pretty roomy, typical chinese restaurant decor and pretty open floor plan. The server came right away and took our order. I ordered their mixed stemed dumplings and shrimp soup dumplings and they were so good! I also had their dan dan noodle and it just okay. I felt the noodle was too over done. I recommend their dumplings and hopefully I can try different dishes when we are visiting Savannah, GA in the future.

Excited to discover this restaurant on a recent trip to Savannah! The menu has lots of options for dim sum. This included dumplings in various flavors and styles. We decided to share several dishes. Everything was delivered hot and tasty!

I always get the Spicy Lemongrass Noodles (baseline usually not very spicy- you can add table side spices to your liking). They vary a little year to year but I always enjoy them. Cold air inside, waters stayed full, but it can be fairly noisy depending who you're sat next to and how busy the place is. Tables can be a bit tight for a couple as you'll only get a 2 top (they get busy and need to save the larger tables for bigger parties). We were able to order before the 10 top next to us, so our food came out super fast! (Yay!!) Could use two bathrooms though, the one they have is large but when they are packed it can be quite a wait. Lots of metered street parking on Broughton and nearby streets. We'll be back again!

Red spicy noodles were spicy and yummy! 5 spice BBQ pork plate was super flavorful, loved this dish! Lychee sake martini just tasted like lychee juice which was great. They also add in 2 lychees to eat/garnish! A good spot, nothing to write home about. Probably wouldn't come back, there was nothing wrong with the place, just nothing exceptional.

I ordered the hamachi poke bowl (I obviously like yellowtail ) I really need everyone to know how fresh this place is. We also had the Laos Lemongrass which was pork belly with rice, kimchi and some veggies. It also came with a curry sauce which was absolutely yummy with the pork. I also really like their iced tea. It tastes like Thai tea but without all of the sugar. Very aromatic. If you are ever in Savannah, this is the place to go. Cute atmosphere, fantastic service and extraordinary food.

After waiting about 15 min the waiter came back to take our food order, however we still had not gotten our drinks. We asked and said they were coming swiftly. Finally after 10 minutes later our drink orders came in. The cokes were flat but the Whiskey Sour was really good. I can't remember the waiters name but honestly she came by maybe 4 times the whole night and did not have the best attitude. The best thing about Ukiyo hands down was the food. Everything from the Ramen to the wagyu bao buns, just Wow. The wagyu was so crispy and just melted in your mouth. The ramen had amazing flavor profiles and was perfectly spiced. We also ordered the Chicken Karaage and this was so tender with the citrus mayo. This was also pretty big so were easily filled with all these dishes. The food and cocktails were amazing but the service really did disappoint from the delays and infrequent interactions.
