Fun ambience, delicious ramen and takoyaki, and fast and helpful service! Check it out not just for the food, but also for the experience.

Still as delicious as ever! It's been a while since I've visited Yatai. My brother was in the mood for ramen so we met here for lunch. I got the steak stir fry, it's so yummy. The sauce is tasty. He really enjoyed the ramen. He said the garlic brother was delicious! The service is quick. They have a large selection of unique drink. I love the lychee drink!

The ambiance was nice. Decor was pretty with all the animes playing on tv. You have to order and pay before you're seated. I think the ramen and broth is pretty good. Their bao buns are good. Their fried rice was HORRIBLE. It tasted like only soy sauce and it was inedible for me. My sister got the udon stir fry and it lacked a lot of flavor. Honestly tasted like noodles thrown in oil. Their chicken karaage was decent. Their calamari breading sucked and it fell apart. Overall the ramen, chicken karaage, and bao buns are good.

It was freezing out when I went in, and this place absolutely hit the spot. The food was perfect for the weather. I ordered the udon and it was on point, especially with the red miso base, which I'd highly recommend. The tofu was also really good. Add in friendly, attentive staff and a fun, lively atmosphere, and it made for a great meal. Definitely a place I'd go back to.

Wow! This was better than I thought it'd be. I ordered from YATAI Ramen + Yakitori upon arrival in Savannah. Essentially what happened is I was dead tired from driving nearly five hours. My plan was to order food to my hotel, shower, and get ready for bed. I wound up doing exactly that. The question then because what exactly to order. I figured I'd order something light or as light as possible, which in my case is usually a salad or a soup. As I didn't crave a salad, soup seemed like the best option and I immediately thought ramen. I searched that up on Uber Eats and Yelp to boot and chose YATAI Ramen + Yakitori mainly because they had great reviews. That and upon reading reviews, I learned that they did BYO or build your own for the ramen bowls. Consider me intrigued. I wound up choosing a tonkotsu base and added marinated, grilled chicken, along with seaweed, a soft-boiled egg, and corn to the noodles of my choosing: ramen ones, of course, although they had pasta and udon as other tempting choices. Delicious doesn't begin to cover this bowl. It was piping hot and hearty and made for two meals. I was ecstatic. I will admit though that it could've been seasoned more, but that's what condiments are for and I didn't ask for any as I didn't think my stomach was up to par that day. I'd be curious to go to the actual location as they hit it out of the park with an online order alone.

Ramen with veggies, fishcake and egg in a miso broth

Visiting Savannah for the first time, my husband and I were on the hunt for pescatarian-friendly casual dining. We love ramen and we really liked the style and surroundings at YATAI. Unfortunately the miso broth was almost flavorless. The noodles, veggies and egg were fine, but the skim of oil on top of the bowl made it less appetizing.

This was my first experience. I'm typically a Pho kind of girl. So I wasn't quite sure what to expect or compare it too. To order you go up to a counter and place your order. They provide you with a number, you seat yourself and someone brings your food out to you. The staff were super friendly and helpful as we had lots of questions about what things were. The food was good, some items weren't for me, but otherwise it was savory and well paired. Overall the experience was great. We would be back if we are ever in the area again.

    Tonkatsu ramen

This place was right across from the hotel I was staying at in Savanah. The way it works is that you order at the counter and then take a seat and wait for the server to bring over your meal. The ramen is pretty customizable; you choose your broth, noodle, protein, and extra toppings. I got ramen with tonkatsu broth, udon noodles, and steak. The broth was pretty good in my option and I really like how they had condiments at the table to add more spice to the dish. I think the only critique is that the portion of noodles and protein is relatively small compared to the amount of broth. The place incorporates a lot of anime in its decor with murals of different anime characters across the walls. They even have a couple TVs set up playing different anime shows so if you're into that I think you'd really like this place!

Love this ramen spot in downtown Savannah! Food was fresh and delicious and the anime vibes are all over!

I'm giving 3 stars because the place has cool decor and anime playing everywhere- if that's your thing, it's in a great location and the lady at the register was super friendly/nice. My mom and I both tried the ramen and we both felt it was subpar, lacked flavor. There's way too many great eateries in Savannah to spend my money on, I probably wouldn't return.

Fun vibe, awesome art & anime shows, and top-tier ramen. The birria ramen is a must-try!

    Veggie Ramen with Kimchi
    Kim B.

I came here with friends on a Saturday afternoon. I ordered the veggie ramen with kimchi and a bowl of edamame for the table. The ramen had a lot of veggies (which is great) and the spicy miso was delicious, but there was not a lot of noodles and the soup was warm (not hot). I would have loved for it to be hot, and then it would have been perfect. I'll come back and try it again, in hopes that the broth is hotter.

Very cool spot to hang out and get ramen. I got tonkotsu ramen and a beer. I was able to use the chargers and charge my phone as well.

We had their crispy spicy tuna appetizer with crispy square rice on the bottom and they were so good. For the main entree I ordered their butabara kimchi ramen and it was what I needed, the broth was rich, savory, and the kimchi really brings the broth flavor more dimensional. The ramen noodle texture was cooked to perfection and the pork belly paired so well in this ramen. My husband ordered the A5 wagyu rib eye and the steak melt in your mouth. We sprinkle the sea salt and dipped it in the quail yolk dashi juice and it was perfection! It is definitely a gem restaurant for Savannah! Truly amazing food experience!

Ukiyo is a Japanese restaurant with a ramen bar and is a very hip urban Japanese spot in Savannah…read more The lights dimly lit and the main entrance includes a massive fully stocked bar. There's a great selections of Japanese Whiskey, Sake and cocktails. We had a reservation and when we entered it was a bit confusing with people all over the place in the entrance not sure whether waiting to speak to the hostess or just casually waiting to be called for their table. After getting sorted we spoke to the hostess and then were shortly seated. The waiter came and took our drink orders right away. We got 2 cokes and a Whiskey Sour with Japanese Whiskey. After waiting about 15 min the waiter came back to take our food order, however we still had not gotten our drinks. We asked and said they were coming swiftly. Finally after 10 minutes later our drink orders came in. The cokes were flat but the Whiskey Sour was really good. I can't remember the waiters name but honestly she came by maybe 4 times the whole night and did not have the best attitude. The best thing about Ukiyo hands down was the food. Everything from the Ramen to the wagyu bao buns, just Wow. The wagyu was so crispy and just melted in your mouth. The ramen had amazing flavor profiles and was perfectly spiced. We also ordered the Chicken Karaage and this was so tender with the citrus mayo. This was also pretty big so were easily filled with all these dishes. The food and cocktails were amazing but the service really did disappoint from the delays and infrequent interactions.
