I should have requested a different service company like another reviewer warned. Stay clear. I had an issue with my gfi outlets that kept tripping. He came for maybe 5 minutes, reset an outlet, gave me sage advice, and was on his way. I was sincerely grateful and wondered why everyone is giving him such a hard time on Yelp? The next day, it happens again. I reset and tested all the gfci like he instructed, so I knew it was something more and requested another visit. The contractor reported that failure to your Switches was due to lack of capacity. Essentially, denying my claim to my warranty company Please be advised that your contract contains the following provision(s): Under the section marked Limits of Liability # 2, Repairs or replacements required as a result of missing parts, fire, flood, smoke, lightning, freeze, earthquake, theft, storms, accidents, mud, war, riots, vandalism, acts of God, damage from pests, lack of capacity, or misuse are not covered by this contract. Now, what irks me is that how someone who didn't open up a single outlet pulls this clause out of his ass so he didn't have to actually diagnose the issue. They came for a GFI and lied to the home warranty and said they couldn't work on the issues because it was a pool issue.

This company was sent out by my Home Warrant for an electrical issue. He stated to me that there was a wiring problem in the wall that need work beyond what the original authorization was from my home warranty and that "he would get back to me." My home warranty indicated the that the problem was resolved and nothing was needed, so my home warranty wanted to charge me for the visit when Jaeger was here for 5 minutes. The home warranty said "you have a switch in your room with no overhead light so the switch isn't needed according to the Jaeger." - I guess they have not heard of a switched outlet for table lamp or floor lamp. The only conclusion I can make is that he didn't want to do the work and/or was not paid enough for what needed to be done and therefore lied to home warranty company. I would have preferred he just say that, then take my visit fee of $85. $85 for 5 minutes of work is good money I guess. read more

Would give 0 stars if I could - and I do not like leaving negative reviews. Was assigned to Jaeger by my home warranty company and tried to schedule an appointment but the woman in their office was EXTREMELY rude and uncooperative regarding finding a time that would work for me - - and I am pretty open being partially retired. In fact, she hung up on me when I mentioned that I might have to contact the warranty company to find a contractor who was more flexible. I ended up requesting a new contractor and was able to secure an appointment with that one very easily. Maybe it was a simple misunderstanding - - but life is just too short to be rude and have a poor attitude. Fan reached obsolescence would not turn on , through warranty company he tried to add a run capacitor which it didn't have before. Now fan only has one speed not two . Had a warranty call set for arrival between11-3. They no showed, no call. I checked the call status online, and my call had been marked completed an hour before. I called, no answer. They text me 25 min later saying I was still on the schedule. Totally unprofessional. I canceled the request and rebooked through another company. What a complete joke this company is In response to the owner comment: There's no excuse for someone not calling me. NO EXCUSE. First of all don't use American home shield second don't use Jager electrical. The technician that they sent out was extremely rude and obnoxious. He told American home shield it was the GFI and they would have to cut into the wall, my husband was with him the whole time which he did make a comment that he didn't like people standing over him. My husband said he never checked the GFI. Of course home shield denied the claim. But if we want our electricity fixed Jager electrical would be more than willing to charge $800 to fix the issue. Oh and on top of everything the service technician was telling my husband that wealthy people usually tip him $100! Newsflash Jager electric not everybody that lives in a gated community has money it is a 55 community after all. I wouldn't even left a one star but you have to for it to go forward. read more

In response to the owner's comment: I am a nurse who has 3 work days per week including weekends, leaving 4 available days each week, typically usually alternating days Mon-Fri. Yet still, this was an issue for your company and your dispatcher had dismissive, prejudiced comments. Technicians absolutely deserve time and customers also deserve respect. Steve came out per AHS, I had three items. One was check power to garage door opener, this was done. Second was to check GFI in garage, it would not reset. He said he would need to contact AHS to see next step, might have to cut through walls, he checked other GFI,s and none were tripped. He was to check GFI in courtyard, it keeps tripping, this he forgot to do and after I emailed him, there was no response. He left. AHS called me and he told them I plugged a chest freezer into this outlet and the gfi contacts were brown and it's my fault, thus no coverage. I hired another electrical company to come out and they fixed the GFI problem in 5 minutes, it was a loose wire in the outlet near the GFI. Steve never checked this, I observed he was in and out. I still have the other problem with the GFI. read more

It started out that I was excited to get a prompt response for service, well let just say that's where it ended! If I could rate them a zero I would!!! The contractor made a time frame with me to show up to my home for service and through text it was confirmed I shared with him that I would be leaving work to make this appointment. He said approximate time would be noonish and then said 1115am and I said I could be there by 1130am. I left work because I work 30 min. from my house and I got there at 1120am and I receive a cancellation that he didn't get a response.... extremely unprofessional and didn't even call to confirm before cancelling! The technician that arrived was unprofessional and did not seem to have either knowledge or the tools to solve the problem. He left without fixing the issue and recommended to home warranty that the issue was not from normal wear and tear . I would definitely not have them back. So American Home Shield sent out another company for a second opinion. They came and fix the original issue and the damage Jaegar did to my house. The other company found where Jaegar had clipped the neutral wire and wrapped the ground wire around the connection where the neutral wire was supposed to be; this could have caused a house fire. If only I can put no star at all. Stephen came within a day after calling the provided home warranty and although he showed up on time and "fixed" the breaker/oven issue I was having, him adding "I'll also have someone call you to check your oven with no additional cost" is where the problem started. I waited for almost over a week but no call received. I then decided to call and leave a message first thing the following Monday which I kept doing everyday until I received a call back Thursday of the same week from now a very rude Stephen. He's now saying and insisting that I have to call the home warranty to have another contractor set up for the oven itself, which of course will be another deductible fee. His assuring words of "I'll have someone call you..." vanished with his unprofessional attitude of speaking with me over the phone and then hanging up the call like I owe them their time of calling me back. Rude & unprofessional is what that Stephen guy is. UPDATE post comment below: When speaking on the phone, I didn't make any insult remark. To me, the person on the other line just sounded irritated/annoyed that he was actually returning a phone call after all my initial attempt to speak to someone, 4 days of calling and leaving voice message day after day. He was too rude to even hear what I'm trying to tell him over the phone. I did leave a review of my experience from an email I received from home warranty 3 days after the initial service and I expressed how "I'd hate shelling $75 for a menial work" I thought was considering that he only spent a total of maybe 10-15 mins or less without seeing him put his tools down. Maybe I missed that part as it was performed outside. It was too fast to remember everything as I was just explaining the oven situation being inside the house and the breaker being outside by garage, there was a lot of going back and forth. For all I can clearly remember, I will be getting that phone call to check the oven as well. I even ask if there was any issue with the breaker and he said there was none. Only now I'm getting the wiring information from this Yelp review. Why was there no email response 3 business days (09/19 was service, 09/23 was email feedback) after my experience feedback was received and simply explain the status of the inquiry if time was actually valued? Why is there a need of so many phone calls (4 days worth), only to return with much attitude? Did he fix the breaker/oven? Yes. Was he professional? Yes on day one. Was there miscommunication? Absolutely. What leaves after all the back firing is the continuous professionalism of a contractor before, during, and after service. Professionalism in all aspect, be it in person or over the phone. This business may have 4-5 stars for having the work done, but having the right attitude on tensed situation especially good phone etiquette is also very important. read more

American home shield sent this company and the owner showed up to our gate and because there was an issue with his name he made my appointment a no-show. I took off from work to accommodate this appointment and the owner doesn't have the common courtesy to call the home owner to get access in to the security gate because I missed spelling of the name. The technician did not have a 10 second courtesy to call us to let us know that he was having issue getting into the front gate. I realize that the Warrenty company does not cover REMOTES yet I was willing to hire Jaegar Electric to do the work and pay them. They never returned my numerous phone calls not had the decency to even let me know they were not interested in the work. Update: My warranty company had a different electrical company (APJV Electric) come out to complete what Jaeger failed to do. APJV had great person to person communication with me, assessed the problem quickly, and changed the main breaker switch in less than 10 minutes. Now the problem is totally solved.
