Communication was done very easily by text and an appointment was setup for one week later. Technician Scott showed up on time and fixed the issue in minutes. He pointed out to me what caused the problem and how to avoid it in the future. Jeager electric was assigned to us by American Home Warranty. Stephen arrived a few minutes earlier than the estimated time on the on-his-way email and within the initially quoted time range. He arrived with a mask on and was professional throughout his entire visit. His knowledge and expertise were on display as he quickly eliminated the possibilities and ultimately identified the problem. Unfortunately, the issue was related to some outside electrical work we had done months ago. Fortunately, this work is under warranty. So although not covered by the home warranty policy, I have already scheduled our landscape company to fix the problem with the knowledge Stephen passed on to me. Everything started off well. A representative from their company promptly contacted us to set up an appointment. They were very flexible and were willing to work with us as far as the day went. The day came and Steve arrived at our home a few minutes early. Within 5 minutes he was in and out and told my husband that the ballasts in our kitchen lights were going out. He said he would submit it to the warranty company and be in touch once it was approved. Figuring everything was delayed due to covid we didn't stress it too much when we hadn't been contacted after a week. Once we got to 2 weeks I decided to check our home warranty website and SURPRISE! The service was marked COMPLETED! Pretty sure my lights that have not been working for 3 weeks would disagree. I understand people get busy, but a simple phone call would have been nice. After contacting my warranty company and them not being able to contact anyone from Jaeger Electric a different company has been assigned to complete the job. We should not have to chase a company to get the job done. My husband said Steve was a nice guy, but unfortunately it looks like he fell a little short when it came to following through with the job. read more

Stay away if you're using them through a home warranty claim. We had a broken fan. They submitted their report saying it was physical damage, not wear and tear. Wow, what great service from Jaeger Electric! Mr. Even though he's based north of here, Mr. Jaeger came down to San Diego for me and evidently comes here often. He showed up on time, was really professional and took care of a bunch of electrical needs I had. I was impressed because he was so organized and neat--he carefully cleaned up after each little job he did for me! More importantly, the work was top-notch. He removed a ceiling fan and installed a 40 lb chandelier (see photo). He determined that the fan mount was poorly installed and would have never held the weight. Fortunately he showed up with a really solid mounting box that wedged in between the joists and mounted the chandelier--the new mount could easily hold 150 lbs so no need of worrying that the chandelier will come crashing down on my dining room table. 7/8/2021 I would had Given them a half of star but it wasn't a choice they was supposed to be be at my house by 12pm they showed up after I left to work I'm not sure if this company is doing insurance Fraud or what but this guy came to our house for 5 minutes my mom's husband showed him what was wrong went back outside to check on him and he was already gone didn't tell us what was wrong or anything when I called my home warranty they let me know that he wrote on the report that there is no electric to my home that I currently have and had electricity in when he arrived to my home and that there was intentional damage to my circuit panel I just bought my house just over a year ago and my house is over 30 years old he wrote there was no normal wear and tear so I told my insurance they need to send someone else to my house because that's not what sce told me when they came out to look at it just a day before this company if anyone Recommend them to you they don't like you sce said only one part on my panel needs to be replaced because it could cus a structure fire But this guy who came for every bit of 5-7 minutes wrote the whole panel needs to be replace what a joke I would think sce Which is a Electric company would have told us that instead of telling us to call our home warranty company so that they would cover the repair I hope my review help someone else read more

Update: Based on the inaccurate diagnostics provided by Jaeger Electric, our homeowner's warranty is no longer covering our pool equipment, wiring, or subpanels! The actual issue (a loose wire and improperly sized breaker) should have been fixed immediately and under warranty, but because of Jaeger not only did I have to pay the deductible for nothing and hire another company to fix the actual issue, but now I have the headache of dealing with the warranty company to reinstate warranty coverage because of the misdiagnosed issue. read more

If your home warranty company refers any electrical work to this company, request a different electrician. These folks are the worst. I needed two chandeliers to be swapped out, but since the online request form didn't have an option for that, I chose "other". When electrician arrived, he was in an already bad mood. When the work needed was described, he immediately dismissed and refused to do the work because it wasn't a "service/repair" call but a "retail/modification", and that wasn't covered under the warranty contract we had, and he would have to price it differently. I understood that to be "I'm going to squeeze you for more $$ because this call doesn't pay enough." I called the warranty company to complain, but they said they couldn't help because the contract doesn't cover that type of work. Very disappointed in the warranty company and especially disappointed in Jaeger, as they could have handled this differently and done the work anyway with a much better attitude and approach. Thankfully there are other electricians who are eager to work and earn our business. One would think that, having referrals from warranty companies basically being delivered on a silver platter, a company would be more appreciative and responsive, especially in this tough economy where companies are struggling to stay afloat. read more

Got a charge for Jaeger service from Old Repub warranty company. The warranty would not cover the electrical problem b/c it was outside and not inside. Steve Jaeger did come out to diagnose the problem but was not allowed to fix it per the Old Republic contract. Subsequently I completely forgot Steve's visit but in a phonecon he refreshed my memory with all the details. He was right; I was wrong. Very pleasant young man, very respectful. We moved to Las Vegas. If Steve was here in Nevada he would be my "go to" guy for electrical problems. He left me with great confidence in his company, and great respect for his memory. I paid Old Republic $75.00 for the valid trade call (Steve) fee. read more

Contacted my home warranty because my whole house fan was not working properly. My home warranty referred me to Jaeger Electric. Stephen the technician came to my home on June 9. He spent less than 5 minutes looking at my whole house fan and told me I needed a new motor. Stephen told me that he would have to contact my home warranty company to get approval for the new motor and to contact him in 3 days for the status. I waited 5 days and called and left messages and did not receive a call back. I called again for several days and again did not receive a call back. On June 18 I called my home warranty company to advise them of my situation. My home warranty company advised me that my work order from Jaeger Electric was closed. The technician wrote on the work order that my whole house fan was working properly. I informed my home warranty company that was not true. On June 19 my home warranty sent me another electrician, City First Electric to my home. The technician from City First Electric diagnosed and resolved my problem. They replaced my capacitor and my whole house fan is working great. DO NOT HIRE JAEGAR ELECTRIC. THEY ARE DISHONEST AND HAVE POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. CALL City First Electric. read more

BEWARE of this company they're really good at calling you ,texting you and emailing you to set up appointments. But when it comes time to do service they are nowhere to be found. After calling numerous times and getting an answering machine that says they'll get back to you by 3 PM the next day they don't! The guy Steve that came out didn't even look at what the problem was with my ceiling fan Which is covered through a home warranty program. No He was just looking at ways to make more money off of me. I do agree the ceiling fan box had to be replaced but he didn't even look to see the fan had only one speed which was why I called for service in the first place. Steve ran a 240 line for my spa and did an exceptional job. The line routing is cleverly placed to minimize visibility which is the result of a considerable amount of high-ladder work and tricky wire routing using difficult 4 gauge wires. He was on time, fast, friendly and provided no-BS quote which was delivered to the letter. He also made two extra trips: 1.) To confirm the amp draw of the house for safety considerations, and 2.) to re-wire the spa a 2nd time after some spa-related technical difficulties.
