I struggled with wether to give this range 3 or 4 stars. I was going to give it 3 stars because of the bad experience I had here a few years ago while getting my CHL at this location. The class instructor was an arrogant "know it all" who didn't know it all. Other than that I haven't had any BAD experiences. As you will read in the other reviews they are pretty over priced. It's almost 20 dollars a person to shoot. Growing up I was able to shoot for free in my yard but since I live in the city now that's no longer an option. The RO's are a little over bearing when it comes to correcting people that shoot more than they do themselves. I've been told more than once not to fire more than one shot per second while I wasn't shooting more than one round per second. It was in your rules and I know how to tell time, maybe you should carry a stopwatch before you interrupt me while I'm shooting. The guns are ridiculously over priced along with the ammo and everything else for sale, but I've never seen anyone purchase a gun there and that's probably why. The good thing about the range is that it is large. Unfortunately it only goes back 25 yards so it's pointless to bring a rifle. Yet you will see some dumb kids almost every time with their AR-15's, AR-10's and "tacticool" shotguns acting like children playing with fireworks. The range is always clean and you have plenty of breathing room even when it's crowded, which it will be on the weekends. There are much more affordable places around the area but this is a good place to bring a large group. read more

My son had been raving about this range for several months and last Monday he was able to drag me out to sling some lead down range. We were there for just under 2 hrs and it cost us $38 and was worth every penny as it was clean, well lit, safe and friendly. The front counter staff was friendly and it was obvious that this is a "Safety 1st" range which every range should be. Range masters were strict as noted in other reviews but were focused exclusively on safety. If you are not reloading your own brass, make a friend and box up the empties for the range master on duty. Our experience was that as long as you listened and applied their instructions they didn't bother us at all. On this day there was a wide range of experience and firearms in the 12 lanes open; from a grandma blasting her 1911 .45 ACP to our left to a young kid blasting a shot gun for the first time on the other side. As noted you could be shooting next to an AR-15 or shotgun in the same pistol range which was a unique experience for us at an indoor range; however, to combat the repercussion we broke out the .44 mag :) We definitely will be back, investigated membership fees just a few moments ago and will be taking our CHL class here as a family within the month. read more

Very friendly and safe indoor range pistol/rifle range with clean air. Took my LTC with them and was very satisfied. I also shoot there regularly. Theirs a wide selection of pistols for rent at 5$ each but u must use their ammo. The ammo prices are competitive though. read more

I have been to this range twice and both times were very positive experiences. My wife and I are new gun owners. We felt safe(emphasized) and welcomed to the local gun range. Our first visit was a bit nervous for newbies in the world of firearms. My wife had a bit of a shoulder problem and wasn't sure if she could fire the new gun we purchased. Both range officers were very helpful and courteous. A bit of advice to all new gun owners. Ask questions do not assume anything about your weapon or ability. We were given great instructions by very competent and respectful(emphasized) range staff. We brought friends on our second visit. The husband recently bought a new pistol for his wife. Our friends owned a few rifles but this was her first pistol. Both enjoyed their experience and felt it was worth coming back. Renting a pistol was as easy as walking up to the counter and asking for it. The staff member was informative and answered all my questions with ease. As with any mechanical device, my new Beretta PX4 9mm slide would lock open after a few rounds. I was not sure what to do, I ask my friend to have the range officer come to my booth while I stood there with a loaded weapon that malfunctioned pointed down range (emphasized). He was very courteous and calm when he asked for my weapon. He actually listened to my thoughts on the problem. We both came to the conclusion the slide hold open lever was malfunctioning. It would catch as the slide would recoil after a round was fired. I was missing a spring on the slide lever to keep it down. It must have fallen out when the lever popped out when I last cleaned it. Not a good start for a new gun owner. Overall I'm happy with the prices and being in a very safe environment to shoot. The gun show in Ft. Worth is coming this weekend. I may be coming back to shoot my new pistol. read more

Very impressed with this range. It was only my second time shooting my 9MM, and my first time indoors. I notified the owner when I arrived that I was still a beginner and asked if my husband and I could share a lane and he help instruct me. They were very easy going about it and even offered tons of advice themselves! The RO was amazingly helpful, but not overwhelming. He only offered advice when I asked for it and made me feel so comfortable while somewhat instructing me - no additional charge. After we were done, the owner asked how we enjoyed ourselves and reminded us we could come back all day for no additional charge, told us about their CHL classes, and even about ladies night! It was a great experience from beginning to end, and we will definitely make this our go-to range! read more

First, Facilities are nice. Not as nice as Frisco, but nice. But way more expensive than any other ranges in the area. By over double. I've never been to a range where they constantly go up and down person to person correctly literally every move they make. Experienced shooters to newbies everyone I saw got constantly corrected. I understand safety but come on. Some of the crap they're correcting is ridiculous. Multiple times I was interrupted because my unused gun laying slide opened wasn't straight enough down range laying on table. It was point at 1 o'clock or 11 o'clock I swear to god, this happened 3 times. I guess I should of brought a framing square to perfectly line it up with my lane/firing table. What a joke. Also, corrected for getting magazines out of bag that was laying at my feet. Supposed to bring bag to table, then get items/guns out, then put bag back down. Lol. More time was spent getting correcting than shooting. Pissed me off and left in 30-40 mins. Been shooting for years and never had this crap happen. My wife got too intimidated watching staff do this to all the shooters, she chickened out unfortunately. she's already nervous enough around guns, being made to look like an idiot over and over was too much. It's beyond normal I swear. Never seen it like this anywhere. Won't be back that's for sure. So for 40 min of 1 lane and box of .22 wmr (50) came to $70. Screw that. Too expensive. Good luck all. I live right down the street from eagle gun range and have only been in twice. But both times I've had no issues. My second time was to take my LTC class. John Grizzaffi was my instructor and he was awesome. Made class super enjoyable and fun. It's your typical 4-5 hour class which covers about 75-80% of common gun knowledge and safety. With that being said, he still made the class interesting and I was able to keep myself from nodding off. A lot of people write bad reviews about this place because of the range masters and what not. Which I can understand. Coming from a guy who used to do all his shooting in the desert where no supervision was required. But they have rules set in strictly for safety. So you abide by those rules and you won't have an issue. Chances are if you get "yelled at" you're doin something wrong. Now I get it, there are a lot of rules which seem unnecessary to us experienced shooters, but this place gets all kinds of experience leveled shooters. So the rules can't be different for each person. Always remember that and if you take that into consideration you just might find that this range is actually a great place to hangout, shoot, and meet new people. I most definitely recommend this range to anyone local or even far looking for a day of shooting. I also highly recommend the LTC class here. It was great. read more

Most of the reviews on here that are less then 4 stars are from folks that are mad about not getting every last one of there casings to reload. Why would you affect a range's rating because of this issue. This place is almost new, has a great staff in comparison to most places. One thing people need to remember is that safety comes first. They have to strike a balance between being nice and being firm and informative so we are all safe while practicing. I won't mention any names, but go to the range off of I-35 in Fort Worth and see if you feel safe. It is a free for all! It will make you appreciate a staff that can effectively inform you of something you need to correct. If someone was rude to you, that is a different situation. I have never witnessed any RO being rude. Firm maybe, but not rude. Can you imagine doing their job? Trying to make sure your customers have fun and have a good experience and then seeing someone break a rule or do something that puts everyone in peril. They may not always react with total kindness... GET OVER IT! If you don't have thick enough skin to take a talking to for your own safety, then please go play golf! I want to know if I am doing something wrong and I don't mind a stern tone. I think anyone that thinks the staff here is too snobby or stern, then you haven't been around much. And, if your sole reason to take stars away from your rating is because you are so worried about how many casing you can recover, then please go play golf. Your only hazard would be drowning trying to recover all of your golf balls... I wouldn't rate a gun range on the ability to recover my casings. I have been to enough ranges where I just didn't feel safe from all of the RO"s NOT doing enough or being TOO NICE! This isn't a sport for people who can't remember and follow ALL of the rules. Get over the fact that Mom or Dad yelled at you and realize that this place has great equipment, great air quality, a nice lounge (don't usually even get a lounge!) good staff, a retail store, and above all, the place is safe enough to bring the entire family... We have been here several times in the past month and our experiences have all been great. My husband and I took a private lesson with an instructor who is also military reserve and he could not have been more polite or helpful. My husband has taken the CHL class and was very pleased. I have had to change my class time due to illness and they were very polite and accommodating. Everyone we have encountered has been pleasant and helpful. I was shooting alone yesterday and had a problem with my gun, the RO helped me out and gave me some pointers on my shooting technique, since I am relatively new. I am always treated with respect whenever I am there, alone or with my husband. I have never felt that anyone there gave an arrogant or superior attitude. I really appreciate all the safety rules, as well, being new to shooting. The only thing I would say is that maybe they need to expand, because it seems that no matter when we come in, there is a wait! However, it's not a problem and we are so happy to have a safe, convenient place to shoot. As for the reloaders out there, why not mention to the RO that you will be picking up your brass when you go in? Then there might not be any misunderstanding. read more
