Love Dublin Bowl. It's been my home house for years. Definitely a bowler's house in that its primary clientele are league/tournament bowlers in addition to the casual crowd. Lanes are always oiled and kept in good shape, and machines are in good shape. They will repair your equipment for free should the lanes damage them on accident. It's really unfortunate that cloverleaf bowl in Fremont closed down but lots of their former employees have since come to Dublin and I've gotten to know almost all of them. Really personable people and it's clear to me how Cloverleaf was so successful. The bowl has the best leagues in the area and it's always a great time. I've made a ton of friends at this bowling alley and will continue bowling here two to three nights a week for as long as I can. read more

I read all the comments about rude staff and was a little worried, but my fiancé said he's been here quite a few times with no problems. We came on a Saturday night at 8pm. David helped us at the front desk and was very friendly and joked with us. They didn't have any specials so we decided on 3 games and 2 pairs of shoes, which cost $44. Our lane was fine but the one next to us got stuck a couple times. It's no-frills bowling- no special lights or music, but we had fun. I can guarantee you THIS is the best bowling alley in the tri-valley. Unlike Livermore, Earl Anthony's is clean with a fun, and family-oriented atmosphere. It's also a bit bigger too. I've bowled here many times on weekday nights because it's cheapest, but on Friday nights it can get pretty crazy with the music videos and flashing strobe lights. I find them distracting if you're legitimately trying to bowl, but if you're there just to hang out, have a couple drinks, eat some junk food, then weekends are for you. Everyone here seems pretty chill, too, including the staff. Our lane broke multiple times, and they always fixed it promptly. read more

Employees working there were very rude and short for no reason. Seemed mad that I wanted to bowl there. I wasn't trying to impose, just wanted to play a game when plenty lanes were open. We paid for an hour at a lane, but 10 minutes were wasted after it froze on the second frame. I told them it was stuck, waited for them to send a guy out to our lane. When the employee came, he literally did nothing, then walked away. I went back up to the counter again, and they said they needed to "work on it in the back", so again I waited. Finally, went up to the counter a third time, and the same employee who said they needed to "work on it in the back" left the counter, came to our lane, and pushed one button, and the lane reset. Writing this as we are are leaving Earl & Anthony's after waiting for a little over 90 minutes for a lane. The place was busy and a wait was expected, but after seeing several groups who came in after us (about 3 or 4) get called to a lane within 20mins, we were left feeling put off. They have a system where once you sign up, you are sent a text to confirm you are on the list, and when a lane comes available, you receive another text alert. We received the confirmation, but a lane never came available for us. Giving 2 stars because the staff at the Cafe and the bar were great. The atmosphere was also really nice. We attended a fund raiser here today. The bowling alley definitely had the mom & pop feel to it. It was not busy but it could be due to the fact that it was 1pm in the afternoon. Dublin Bowl is clean and the staff is really friendly. The crowd was MUCH older than the crowds we're use to at bowling alleys in San Jose. The kids had fun and it was for a good cause. This is our "back-up" bowling alley to Granada Bowl, mainly if Allergy Boy and I get the urge to bowl when 1) Granada has their laser bowl thingy going on 1-3 on the weekends, or 2) when we're in Dublin going to Half Price Books, which is across the street. This place is kinda throw-back looking, but it's very clean, and I've bowled some of my best games here, oddly. They don't have any lanes that can be a mix of bumpers and non-bumpers if you're bowling with kids. Pick one or the other for everyone. There have been comments about rudeness here on Yelp, which I cannot substantiate. The same guy is always there when we bowl, and he's extremely nice and polite to me and my kids. I came here with part of my church's youth group on a Sunday night in January. At 7:30 PM this place was packed full of people - families, couples, groups of friends, etc. Luckily for us, we managed to secure 3 lanes next to each other for all 17 of us. Yes, there were instances where pins did not reset and the next person received points for pins they didn't knock down, but rather than getting annoyed, we were able to laugh it off and just tease one another. With ample parking and $9.75 for shoe rental ($4) and game ($5.75), I can definitely see all of us coming back again. When I got to the front counter at 7:30, the man there mentioned that we could get the Sunday "Night Owl" Special if we just waited an hour. Even though we didn't end up taking him up on the offer, I thought it was really considerate of him to mention it. Had our company Holiday Party here last night. Typical bowling alley, nothing too grand. We weren't the only company to have our party there. The sign that they had at each party was a huuuuuge bowling pin with our company name on it. Super adorbs! The food was bowling alley food, not too bad actually. I came here on a Friday night around 10:30PM with 10+ other people. While I had a great time bowling with my friends, I was not impressed with the staff members, the bowling balls, or the look of the place overall. The staff members that helped us up front, were pretty rude. We stood around a little bit before we were helped even though they didn't really seem that busy behind the counter. They seemed impatient and tired (or ready to be done with the day) which did not leave me with a great first impression. The place itself is a little older looking than other bowling places I have visited. The balls were really old and kind of dirty. It was difficult to find the weight of the balls and different finger sizes. Luckily, the shoes that I rented were alright and not too broken apart. Overall, the place just looked kind of old and run down. I am giving this place 2 stars because the price of the beer wasn't too bad and the option of unlimited bowling with shoes from 10:30PM to close was nice. read more

Starting MLK day with bowling early in the morning. This is a nice place in Dublin. We quickly got a lane and got going. The person at the counter was very helpful and welcomed us with a smiling face. He mad sure we got the right shoes and bumpers for my kids. We have been here many times and we like it. The only reason I am giving 4 stars is because I feel like they need to upgrade this facility and make it look more modern. What can you say about a bowling alley that as you are at a children's birthday party on Sunday morning around 10 am - is blasting Motörhead and Ozzy Osbourne.... Except awesome! The bowling alley was good. Great for groups of people - great for kids and also great for those pro amateur bowlers. They have a good size bar area with its own seating and TV's - the food area is great as well with a large selection of 'diner' food. They have the classic video game section and a great selection of bowling balls. I went here for the last time almost one year ago...I've been going here on-and-off since I was a kid. Last time visiting was extremely disappointing. The "midnight" Saturday night bowling was terrible....the online prices advertised did not match the actual (much more expensive) prices. The entire place is very run down. This is the grossest place in Dublin. The whole building smells like tobacco cigarettes. It's like some by smokes inside continuously with no effort from the management or owners to get rid of smell/do something about it. The older guy who checked me in for a game & shoe rentals was rude when I went to buy food & forgot which lane my game was on (so I could start game) and laughed at me when I asked. That is extremely uncalled for & unprofessional. The place has a seedy vibe overall. Like I said, it is overpriced & not worth what they are charging. It seems like the owners or managers don't care. The cashier at the food stand waa rude too....food takes forever to cook & is also overpriced. Its overcooked, stale & dry. The customers at the bar tend to be creepy. This bowling alley feels very dirty & rundown. The Bowling alley in Fremont is much nicer, cheaper, cleaner & friendlier. One star. This place keeps going downhill. read more

This is a review of a particularly bad experience we had today at Dublin Bowl. It was a busy Sunday which is a normal thing for a bowling alley, but whatever help they planned to handle the busy afternoon didn't seem to work out too well for them or their frustrated clientele. There was no bartender and many disappointed thirsty adults waiting. I asked the assistant manager if she could get a bartender. I know she was the assistant manager because I over heard some other upset people talking to her when we first arrived about some other issue. Instead of being friendly and helpful, she barked at some other woman to help out. So I finally got our O'Douls. Then things were rolling along, we were bowling and doing fine. Till our balls got stuck, no big deal, we let the front desk know and soon had our balls returned. A few minutes later we were told that we had to move lanes in the middle of our second game so the mechanic could adjust something. Really!? Our lane was working fine and we were now used to the lane and doing great. So now we had to move to a new lane in the middle of our game which was not a great thing for my game. Bummer! Maybe if they had offered us an extra game to help us readjust it would have been a little less of a bummer. At least we'd have felt compensated for the inconvenience. I'm leaving this one star review because that's all the service we received today deserves. Customer service matters. Taking care of your customers matters. That's the reason we came here in the first place, our usual bowling alley was letting us down this weekend.. yah, bummer! We love bowling. We bowl a lot. This is an OLD BOWLING alley - you can smell how old it is! Nothing wrong with that - I personally like it! But if you're into the new generation bowling alleys, this is NOT the place for you. This place is huge and it gets SUPER busy on Friday/Saturday nights! Who would have known that this spot gets a lot of action? LOL! Shoes are broken in and plenty of greasy bowling balls. Computer monitors that handles scoring are easy to use. By 10:30pm, it turns into a disco club. You pay a one time entrance fee and bowl as much as you want. Glad this place still exists! read more

I did a fair share of bowling in my youth, but I hadn't been bowling in ages until I came to Earl Anthony's Dublin Bowl... I was doing a little mid-afternoon, mid-week bowling, and the bowling alley was pretty empty. Everything about the bowling alley was pretty standard - shoes, bowling balls, layout, etc. Although the french fries are pretty darn good... Perhaps I just haven't been to a bowling alley in a while, but I liked the graphics/images between frames. I think Lane 38 may be my lucky lane...I bowled my second best game EVER. It's a pretty spacious bowling alley well-equipped with music, snacks, alcoholic/non-alcoholic beverages, and many lanes! I came here for a special event with some friends and we enjoyed our experience. Since we did come for a special event, our experience may be different from those who come to bowl with family/friends, but after checking their prices - I do find that their shoe rental and game pricing to be quite fair and reasonable. So all that combined plus a bit of music to get your game on to in the background adds up to a great bowling alley to keep your bowling game strong. Haha! Would come back if I was in the area, however, since I'm not local to the 925 area and have a local bowling alley (though in comparison Earl Anthony's felt a tad bit better haha) I can't really say I'd become a regular! read more

Again, I don't usually give much 1-stars, but this is getting unreasonable and ridiculous. This is my 4th time coming to Earl Anthony's Dublin Bowl, and I've finally decided to not come back anymore. The lanes, the bowling balls, and the shoes are not the problem. The customer service and management is what is driving me always from this bowling alley. We went on Wednesday Madness ( All you can bowl for $14 from 9:30 pm - 11:30 pm) and there were about 15+ open lanes. Two of us were already in one lane, but a third friend came later and wanted to get the lane next to us. Seeing that there are 15+ open lanes and there is only an hour and a half left to bowl till closing, the elderly employee wouldn't allow my friend to have the lane next to ours. He originally gave my friend a lane on the other side of the alley, but when requested to have it next to my lane, he said it was against the rules of the alley. I am going to say it again, there were more vacant lanes than occupied lanes, and there was a free lanes, left and right, next to ours. My friend ended up not bowling and chose to spectate because having 3 people per lane compared to 1 person on a lane wouldn't be worth the $14 (all you can bowl) special. Overall, the employee/management would rather lose $14 when there are 15+ open lane. I can't believe it. read more

The rating is due to the bar. We were there having drinks then went to our lane to bowl. Mid-way during our first game, we went back to grab another round. We noticed that the the bar was empty and the bartender was almost done cleaning up the area. This means that the bar must have closed right after we walked away. I asked why last call wasn't mentioned at that time and of course the response was, "I told you before you left." Suggestions: It would help patrons be aware of when last call is, if the bartender actually communicates it to patrons when they step away to bowl. If the bartender feels that is too redundant, the PA system could be utilized to make a single announcement of when last call is. read more

Overall, we had a great time! Earl Anthony's Dubline Bowl offers 3 entertainment experience: pool, a small arcade and bowling. The music is upbeat and the bowling lanes are well lit and affordable (!) Having said that, you get what you pay for - this place need an upgrade the bowling balls have seen better days, the shoes are mostly old, flared and looks dirty, the place looks dirty and like I said, you get what you pay for. As for the staff, their smiles are expensive. Probably because, it was a Friday and there were a lot of bowlers that night. They are fast in 'disinfecting' the shoes and handing them out, though. So if you're looking fun entertainment in Dublin and you're on a budget - Earl Anthony's is the place for you! read more

Great lanes and lots of them. Great place for family and friend get togethers. They even have lane-bumpers so the kids don't get frustrated with gutter balls. The bumpers make the bowling even more fun for the kids. Their snack bar is the best around. The menu is large with Pizza, sandwiches, hot dogs, and lots of appetizers. And for the Kids, they even offer a Kid Special; hot dog, drink and a bowling game! My grandkids really like to go bowling afterschool. We try to get there once a week. Went to this place for my company bowling event on Friday. And I don't normally bowl, I went for drinks. The bowling shoes were the best I've EVER seen bowling!! I could understand not wanting to rent shoes, but here is a completely different story. Anny in the bar was very nice and even gave me a pitcher of water when I let her know that is what I really needed so she hooked me up!! Not only that she made me look like a superstar to my male-dominated company. I will say that I felt the lanes were a little slippery towards the end where the pins are but that could be attributed to a number of factors (the main one being that I don't bowl). My car was left in the parking lot overnight, safely returned to it 10 hours later. Security was friendly yet professional. I hope to go there again soon!! read more
