This is the place where I had made my first car purchase. It was in April of this year. Jimmy Q (my salesperson) was extremely helpful and professional. It is apparent that he genuinely wants to help the customer find the right vehicle for him or herself. He also worked out an interest rate that met my needs, and was reasonable to negotiate with (regarding payments, etc). I'm a 56 yo woman who has been buying my cars since I was 18. I have had exactly 3 horrible experiences over those many years. This experience was clearly and by far, THE BEST experience I've EVER had with a car/truck dealership...from start to finish. My salesman was Ron Wall who worked closely with his boss, Joe Masiello, the General Sales Manager . My finance guy was Tom Lepper (or as I now call him: "the Miracle Man"). As a 5th generation Tacoma owner, Ron thoroughly knew his Tacoma trucks and helped me to better understand what was to be my Tacoma-and my first truck. JOE was always available for questions and forever saying: "Let us know how we can help". Together with Tom Lepper, Joe and Tom somehow miraculously put me into my Tacoma at a 4 % LOWER interest rate than my current rate AND at about same monthly payments I was already making....around 350/month! By all accounts, TOYOTA trucks really last and last, but as a woman on the road in N. AZ (often alone and at night) I needed more than verbal reassurances from some guys who wanted to make a sale and who would likely be safe in bed at night.....when I might really need some help! So what was their response? Tom threw in a 3 yr./36,000 mi "bumper to bumper" warranty (with NO deductible) for my used Tacoma truck for $10 more per month... just so I would not have to worry about any "possible" repairs or the costs that those might incur once I drove off the lot. (I already knew this was a well cared for "one owner" truck). I also did my research on Tacoma's/pricing.... and I most definitely got mine for a SUPER price. "AS IF" all of this was not already enough? I found out while filling out my sales paperwork that I didn't even have to go to the license branch to get my new plates as usual! They took care of that too...and sure enough...in about 3 weeks, I got my "sticker" for my plates for the entire next year in the mail. I don't know about you...but that was truly a "first" for me as an experienced car buyer...and a very pleasant surprise too. If you're someone like me who "works hard for the money" then you'd be crazy not to give these guys a chance to go to work for you and see what they can come up with...for you. I did...and it was the best decision and auto purchase I've EVER made-hands down...from beginning to end. There was NO BS, NO pressure, no good guy/bad guy routine...and no waiting game to wear you down until you didn't care what price you eventually paid! Believe me, I've been through em all. This was just straight up negotiating, discussing what I could/could not afford...and addressing what I concerns I may have had. I bought a car from Earnhardt and Mike Landau over a year ago. I was interested in purchasing a used vehicle recently. Called Mike to see if he could help me out. Last time I worked with him, he helped me out over the phone and went above and beyond. This time around, there was not the same sense of service or determination to work together. I did not feel like Mike was interested in helping me find a deal with their group. I would not have written this review however, I received a standard marketing email today from "Mike". It clearly wasn't even completed: Hello Chris, Are you still in the market for a ? Why does this bother me enough to follow up? It is because I feel like another number at Earnhardt. Makes me wonder if the reason for Mike's determination to help me was driven by the month end rush to hit numbers vs the beginning of the month "fresh start". I too work in sales and understand very well the ups and downs. But I will not tolerate passing me off like a casual client when I go out of my way to contact Mike and wait for his call. If I could give a zero I would. I re-leased a vehicle here in March and received a call today two months later from Toyota Financial indicating I owed them $786. Wow! I don't have that kind of money. I took a lease back that I co-signed on for my mother, I took it back to Earnhardt a month early not to buy or re-lease but to see what my options were. I had never leased before so I wasn't clear how it worked.I told them I would buy the car they said no it's best to re-lease because ALL fee's are waived. I asked them if it was not be official to them if i buy the car they said no! Today they are more specific in saying only disposition fees are waived not wear and tear. Now I'm being charged two months later for a small dent that I would have had my insurance take car of had I not been lied to about All fees being waived if I released. I had no intention on leaving my vehicle there that day I would have taken it right back home and fixed the tiny dent had i know i would be charged for it. It's a dent thAt can come off with a heat gun. Now i have a bill that is higher than what my deductible would have been and even worse it would have been cheaper to return the vehicle and pay disposition fees. Also, if it wasn't shady you would think someone here would have at some point said hey in a few months after an inspection you will get a call in what you owe for wear and tear. Then maybe i would have expected it and would have decided to leave and take car of it on my one. Worst time ever to receive this news! please don't do business here or make sure you are very clear on all fee's regarding leases. I might add the mileage was on point my mom did not go over and they keep telling how much negative equity the car had. How why and how is that my fault. The car is three years old with 35,000. Called to get a price and schedule an oil change, was told the cost would be $64.95 for full synthetic, I asked if the price was correct and the girl said it was so I made an appointment, when I checked in I was told the price was $89.95 by the service writer and I told him the price I was quoted he he said that my Tacoma requires Mobile 1 synthetic and it was more expensive and he gad the manager come over to see if he would honor the price I was given. After belittling me saying it was my fault because I wanted full synthetic he finally honored the quote. Not a very friendly person with the customers. read more

I work in sales, If I EVER treated a customer the way I was treated, I'd be out of a job. How was I treated? I was made to feel like I didn't belong there looking for a new car, or a car period! The most awkward test drive ever! Once I told him what my budget was, it seemed he lost all interest in selling me a car, he called his manager over to help him save the sale. His manager was nice, but I had already checked out a long time ago. I dont know if he was having a bad day, or whatever the case was. He not only lost a sale, but potential future customers as well. After 7 years of faithfully utilizing another local Toyota dealer service, when we paid to have our a/c recharged -- after a couple of weeks we felt it wasn't cold enough so we took it back to the service dept. to be re-checked. They let out all of the freon we paid them to put in and told us our bill to fix it the a/c would now be over $2,400 to fix two parts, not replace it. A friend suggested to buy a can of Freon and put it in ourselves for $38. We did this thinking this would be a temporary fix, instead, our a/c runs colder than it did when they recharged our freon, no leaks after 6 months, and it continues to be freezing cold especially in this triple degree heat. We were ready to buy another Toyota because of our satisfaction on their quality built and dependability. Since no way was I going to go back to our local dealer after that stint and decided to go to Earnhardt Toyota to buy a new car. I found them professional and not pushy at all. I don't like dealing with car sales people and normally do all my car buying transactions over the internet. I have to admit, I left smiling not because we bought a nice car, but because we were treated with respect and didn't once feel we had to shut down negotiations and leave. The one thing I hate more than the dentist is buying a car. I just had the BEST experience of my life with Donovan from Earnhardt Toyota. Gray McDoughal the GM made my experience so easy and fast. I know from experience, salesmen can be rude and disrespectful. I was treated with such respect. Donovan was patient and very knowledgeable and actually drove my new car to Glendale from Mesa as I was keeping my former car. (I refused to buy from Bell Toyota which is only a couple miles from my house - Mesa Earnhardt Toyota is 58 miles and the drive was worth it). My husband and I recently bought a used suv here. The salesman was great and very patient with us. No complaints there. However, when we purchased the vechicle our contract said they are to fix a part. I was contacted once, ask them a question and was told they would call me back. Never did. I ended up calling the service department. They did not have record of the fix and said I would have to take it to gmc and pay for it. I explained it was in my contract and should not have to. They said they couldn't help and would have to have someone call me. Never happened. Also they sold me a vehicle with old worn out windshield wipers. Pieces are missed on my hatch although I should have caught it myself, but still. I have never had such horrible service from Toyota. Won't buy here again. read more

This place is the definition of the term "stealership". Bought a 2017 tundra from them and have been regretting since. Don't get me wrong, the truck itself is amazing and I haven't had any issues yet. However a word of advice for anyone purchasing here. Avoid trading in your vehicle at earnhardt and do not let them trick you into buying the alarm or the auto butler treatment. Google auto butler treatment. Wonder why the only good reviews are from dealerships? Well that's because it's an amazing overpriced money maker for earnhardt. This package costs almost $700 and I was told by the salesman that it's "just like having a ceramic coating put on your truck". Sooo wrong. Plus when you call to schedule the treatment they are booked out for months. Apparently a lot of people are falling for it. Next was the alarm. Again another $700. Any aftermarket alarm person will tell you this thing is absolute garbage. Earnhardt uses these to remotely unlock vehicles without having a key on the lot. They try to pawn off the overhead cost onto the consumer plus a huge overcharge on the alarm itself. Refuse the alarm and look up how to activate it yourself online. It's just a series of button pushes to activate it. Lastly, they will absolutely kill you on the trade in. Especially if you deal with Michael Burrell. This is the type of salesperson that gives you the thumbs up over the table but the middle finger to you under the table. In addition, he wouldn't honor the previous price I was quoted through the internet director. Micheal claimed he "didn't know how he exactly got that number but he would try to come close to it". Close as in almost one thousand dollars difference, yea not close dude. So moral of the story is earnhardt will rip you off real bad if you let them. Mainly my fault for just not ignoring anything Michael said. They are actually very friendly at earnhardt, but trust me you will regret it if you buy the alarm or auto butler. Buy an aftermarket alarm and ceramic coating. Auto butler is the modern day snake oil and it honestly ruins their reputation as trustworthy people. read more

The lease on my 2013 Hyundai Elantra was coming to an end. My 3 previous cars have all been Korean. What drew me to the Koreans in the first place (15 years ago) was better price and better warranty for cars in competing categories from other manufacturers. I was fully prepared to purchase another Hyundai Elantra but thought to price out other comparable cars, including the Toyota Corolla. What I found was there is no longer a price advantage with the Korean cars and the warranty advantage was canceled out by Toyota's superior reliability ratings and resale value. After some searching around I found what I believed to be a reasonable deal for a Toyota Corolla at another East Valley Toyota dealer. Before I had a chance to seal the deal my wife talked me into going into Earnhardt Toyota to see what they had to offer. A couple of years ago she purchased a Toyota Tacoma there. We were pleased with a very good sales experience as well as exceptional follow up experiences with the service department. It was clear that this dealership really is focused on customer satisfaction. Most dealers will make this claim, but Earnhardt really seems to walk the talk. So at my wife's behest we went to see Earnhardt about a Toyota Corolla. True to our previous experiences we were not disappointed. We ended up leaving with a very nice Corolla S-Plus that suited all my needs for a better price than I had negotiated at the competing Toyota dealership. But the real exhibition of their commitment to customer satisfaction didn't come until 4 days later. My son called me for a jump start on his truck. At that exact point in time I realized I had left my very high quality jumper cables in the Hyundai Elantra I had traded in at Earnhardts 4 days earlier. I called them immediately but was disappointed to find out the car was already gone. Much to my amazement Earnhardt offered to replace my cables with a brand new "Emergency Roadside Kit" including some very nice jumper cables. Clearly there was no obligation on their part to remedy an oversight on my part, but nevertheless they did so in a very admirable fashion! Kudos to this great dealership who truly are committed to customer satisfaction (even after the deal is signed)! Special thanks to the salesman Neil, sales manager Evan, and Patrick for the follow up on the jumper cable debacle. Great team, great experience, and from our perspective a truly great dealership! I purchased my first car - Toyota Camry 2015 from Earnhardt Toyota. Buying a new car is never easy (that too my first), but my experience at Earnhardt has been truly exceptional. Their Internet Sales Manager - Subash Kumar (Subby) is the best. For market survey, I had contacted all Toyota dealerships in Tempe/Phoenix area and none of them were as prompt as Subby (replying to my emails even after work hours). Not only was he prompt with his emails, he also gave me the best price (easily beating the price of other dealers). At first I was hesitant but after Subby gave me his best price, I had to buy the car immediately and I can positively say that I got the best deal for the car. It has been a month since I got my car and there have been no problems with the paperwork or any other issues. Everything is as smooth as was promised. I highly recommend Earnhardt. I few months ago my wife too her truck to Toyota Motor center in mesa Earnhardt Toyota for an oil change to find out some one took the interstate battery out and replaced it with a Duracell cheap battery that just died yesterday. My battery had a five-year grantee on it! We only had the truck two years, and they said they can't do anything about it. The workers wouldn't have stoled the battery. I can say without a doubt in my mind that my trip to this dealership tonight has been the worst experience I have ever had buying a car. We were helped by the salesperson Kaitlyn Johnson, she did great and had no issues with her. My wife wanted to look and maybe purchase a new Prius. After seeing how much they were and realizing she did not have the money to bring it down to what she wanted, she decided she should purchase a new vehicle at this time. They did the whole pony show of going back and fourth getting us lower payments but she already decided she didn't want to do this at this time. Having anxiety problem she's unable to tell people no and just kept letting them play the game. Every time Kaitlyn would leave I could see my wife's smile go away and I could see how up set she was. She wanted to get just get up and sneak out so she didn't have to deal with telling them no. Even though I wish we would have done that now, I told her let's just tell them and we'll leave. Well we did just that we were told the manager just wanted to shake our hands and thank us for coming in. Of course this was just a lead to try and sell us again. Now we're greeted by OLIVER CREE. Who despite knowing we wanted to leave just continued to try and sell us. I told him my wife was upset and wanted to leave. He continued he sells pitch to the point I said not to be rude but we're just going to leave. He again try's to sell us into a car. I told him again my wife was having problems and just wanted to leave which he proceeded to tell me "she doesn't look like she's has problems." Just because someone is smiling on the outside doesn't mean they are happy and as a manager that's something you'd think they would know. Being a combat veteran I know the feeling of wearing a smile on my sleeve no matter the pain going through me. And to be told how she felt because she didn't look it is beyond rude. We walked out that second. We planned on coming back after she saved up some extra cash but needless to say we will never step foot in this place again. read more

I rarely write reviews on anything, but I was motivated to write on this time because I've honestly never had such a comfortable and positive experience buying a new car. Dylan was not only easy to talk to and exceptionally knowledgeable about the Highlander and its features; he also listened carefully to understand our particular interests and never pressured us. He even took an extra 30 minutes after the sale to show us how to use several features (Apple Play, etc.) that we would have otherwise had to look in the manual for. I was told by Big two Toyota to not come here and I should have listened to start off on the multiple bad visits I've had the first one is when I wanted my first car almost 9 months ago the sales manager was very rude talked down about the sales guy I had Michael falcone who was the best sales person I've ever had he was kind and honest but his manager was very condescending and making me feel stupid for wanting multiple options so I left and bought it at big two Toyota at a lower price and lower monthly recently I wanted a truck I went to big two and Earnhardt had a slightly better deal so I reluctantly went over at 7pm I was approved and had no issues I get a call from Jeff in finance exactly 24 hours later telling me sorry we lied you aren't approved but we'll see what I can do I'm going to talk to my manger and we'll call you in a week mean time just drive the truck like normal a week later I get a call that I need a co signer not mentioning that because the couldn't find a bank the first time they ran my credit not once not twice but 11 times and I refused so they wanted the truck back so if you want a Toyota GENUINELY go to big two or somewhere else they don't care about you or what's best for you here at Earnhardt it's about there quota and making that sale at the end of the day and now my credit is 58 points lower and I'm not in a new car save your time money and headache and skip this place read more

Absolutely amazing!! I wanted to give a huge thank you to Dennis, Eddie, and Miesho for the amazing job they did. They got me into a 2016 Toyota Camry with no hassle at all. We came to this dealership because I was unbelievably upside down in a 2012 Ford Focus that I had purchased from San Tan Ford. San Tan had given me the run around with the Focus, they lied, they were never on top of the service; even when I made appointments!! In the two years that I had the vehicle, it was in the shop for a total of almost 2 months. Each time they left me without a vehicle, and they didn't care. It was awful, don't ever go there. When I called Earnhardt, I was directed to Dennis. I was originally going down to look at a 2015 Rav4, but the numbers did not make sense. Dennis immediately thought of plan B, and pulled out a Camry for me. Brand new, only 6 miles on it, and it was a 2016!! Dennis and Miesho worked very, VERY hard to get me out the door at the exact price and payment that I wanted. The best part is that they valued my upside down Focus far above anyone else did, and squished all of the negative equity with rebates and cash back specials. Eddie was extremely efficient when he was doing the financing. I had everything approved through Toyota Financial, and he made sure I was taken care of payment-wise. Since I work at a small, family-owned car dealership myself, I knew all of the possible games that they could play. Because my business is small, reputation is everything. We don't play any games. The way that we were greeted and the honesty that was spoken here was just outstanding. It was definitely not expected after my horrible experience with Ford.
