Paid $550 for 5 visits. They only performed 2 and refuse to refund the rest. I hired Earth Pest Control after one of my tenants reported roaches coming into their apartment from a neighboring unit. Earth Pest Control quoted me $550 for the service. Their email specifically stated that the service included the initial visit plus 4 follow up visits, for a total of 5 visits. I paid the $550 and they coordinated scheduling directly with my tenant. About a year later, I discovered they had only come out twice. The other 3 visits I paid for were never performed. I reached out four separate times asking what happened and received no response. I finally called them today and was told they apparently couldn't reach the tenant, so they simply stopped trying. The problem is that I was the customer who paid them $550. Nobody contacted me to tell me they were having trouble scheduling. Nobody told me they were discontinuing the service. Nobody offered to reschedule the remaining visits. When I asked them to either honor the 3 remaining visits or refund me for the services they never performed, they refused. That's unacceptable to me. If you sell a customer a package of 5 visits and only perform 2, you don't just keep the money for the other 3 because you had trouble reaching the tenant. At a minimum, you contact the person who hired and paid you. Unfortunately, they have chosen not to honor the service I paid for. I normally wouldn't write a review until I've had more than a snap shot of a business. In this case, I was so impressed that I broke my own rule! While researching pest control services in my area, I came upon this wonderful company in the next town over from me. I gave them a call and spoke to Jessie. I voiced my concerns as Jessie waited patiently before responding. Jessie was professional, informative and thorough. He made my decision for who I would choose to do the job very easy. I was so impressed, I signed a contract for a full year after hanging up. I genuinely wanted to lock in what I felt was the start of something great. I was right! Luis arrived at my home promptly; within 24 hours of my call for help. I showed him the problem area first. I also shared all my "critter" events since moving into my new home. To my surprise and joy, every issue, old and new, was addressed by Luis. After working on every issue inside my home and garage, Luis took a look around outside and got to work. He cleaned up all the cobwebs around the entire house. He went even further and checked for holes where any unwanted pests could gain access to the inside of my home. Before leaving, he took the time to review all the treatments he applied inside and out. I would be remiss if I didn't add that Luis did an extremely thorough job. The time it took to do the job correctly was not of concern to him. He told me that he enjoyed working for Earth Pest Control Services. He said he liked the fact that his company lets him take time to do good work. He had a sense of pride about him. That's very rare these days. Luis left giving me three business cards, all with the owner's name on them. As I said earlier, I don't feel comfortable writing a review until I get a true feeling of how consistent the experience will be. We moved and immediately noticed a bug problem which included 2 types of ants, spiders, and waterbugs from the drains. Since we previously used Earth Pest Control at our last home, we knew exactly who to call. We made an appointment for Kevin to come out and spray. We prepped ahead of time by pulling all the furniture out away from the walls and Kevin went around each room in the house and sprayed. He used a special spray around the toilets/drains for the waterbugs. The spray dries quickly and is kid and pet friendly, so he said we could start putting the furniture back in place while he was still here. The following day we immediately noticed a difference. We started finding dead bugs and cleaning them up. We are beyond happy with Earth Pest Control and Kevin is wonderful! He'll answer all your questions and address all your concerns. I believe I have written one or two other reviews ever on Yelp, but after my recent interaction with Kevin and Earth Pest Control I felt compelled to write one. I have been using them for over a year now and have always been highly satisfied with the service. After a year of outdoor applications and no signs of any pests, I started to noticed one or two flies were always around our kitchen. I called and Kevin was out in 24 hours. He describes the process he is using to get rid of the flies and always lets us know what to look for that would require additional attention. He is incredibly professional and personable. He has also been out taking caring of a wasps nest and pesky ants in our kitchen. Every time we have an issue, we call and he is here within the next day or two. I had an ant problem in the house that I could not control. I called this company and Kevin came out the next day. He carefully and enthusiastically explained his services and how the program works. He found where the ants were coming into the kitchen and put down some very effective bait to take care of the immediate problem. He then went outside to inspect the premises, cleaning up spider webs as he went. He found a carpenter ant infestation in our maple tree. He showed me the infestation and took care of it with the proper product as part of the initial service. He sprayed outside the house, around the foundation and then came back inside and used an injection type applicator along strategic places at the baseboards. At all stages, he explained what he was doing as well as why he was doing it. He also took time to describe all the chemicals he used. He explained that we would continue to see a few ants here and there for as long as 19 days and if we saw more than that, or saw them "trailing" we should call and someone would come right out. I am pleased to say no one had to come back out. A technician came out 30 days later to begin our regular service, which consists of spraying outside and doing anything else that is necessary. We are scheduled for service every 90 days. It was very important to me that our ant problem be solved immediately and Earth Pest Control did a terrific job. I had called one other company that insisted I had to wait two weeks for someone to come out. The initial visit was $79 with an agreement for 4 more visits at 90-day intervals at $105 per visit. read more
