We've had wall-to-wall Earth Weave McKinley carpet in all the bedrooms in our home as well as our playroom for the past six years, and it still looks brand new. It's even more impressive how well it's held up considering we have four young children and a dog, and the carpet we chose is a pretty light color (Silver Birch). We have been extremely happy with the softness, quality of construction, and how easily spills can be blotted up. We also have a large Earth Weave Catskill area rug which has also held up beautifully over the years despite being in a high-traffic area. I called the company directly today because I would like to order another of their rugs in a custom shape and size, and the person I spoke with was very helpful and accommodating. After ordering and comparing several samples from many different manufactures we finally settled on Catskill from Earth Weave. After receiving the carpet we noticed the color, pile height and cut pile where all completely different than our sample. Now after designing a complete remodel and purchasing everything to match the carpet they are telling us we are out of luck. I read the website and am aware of some slight differences in color tones but this carpet is a completely different color, not to mention half the pile height and different cut patterns. read more

We purchased Earth Weave carpeting for our 3300 square foot home and we love it! The house feels cozier with this carpet, the air feels fresh despite having new carpet, and we have peace of mind knowing that our 11 month old isn't breathing in micro-plastics, anti-fungal treatments, flame retardants, etc. It looks amazing. Last summer I was researching carpets and carpet pads. Earthweave was one of them. I was shocked when I asked where the "latex" for their pads was sourced. I was told in no uncertain terms that they would NOT TELL ME! I was stunned and then asked if they could at least tell me what country it comes from. NO. We purchased the Ranier in Snowfield for a large area rug. It is gorgeous and we are very happy with it. We took it to a person that has been binding carpets for many years and he was also very impressed with it. The carpet is high quality, soft and there was NO odor. I would definitely use this again and will never buy synthetic carpet again. read more

We live in a two-flat, and rent the downstairs unit. Back in 2007, we purchased two Earth Weave area rugs because our tenants had allergies to toxins in other rugs and because we wanted rugs that were more sustainable. The two Pyrenees rugs we bought, both in the Wheat color, are still soft and lovely and have worn excellently. Only now is the traffic pattern showing in the serging at the edges. And this is after getting good use from multiple families with children for 9 years. Earth Weave also had to cut the carpet to a custom shape to fit the rooms. Their work was precise and well done. I couldn't have asked for anything better. Now in 2016 we are looking at purchasing carpeting for our living space, and we will consider Earth Weave again. I'd definitely recommend them. read more

We purchased Earth Weave McKinley carpet in the "Honeysuckle" color and their wool carpet padding for our basement remodel. The carpet and padding have an amazing foot feel and no chemical smell (because there are no chemicals, of course). I was particularly excited about this carpet because wool is naturally anti-microbial, which would help prevent molding issues if we had any water problems in our basement. The fact that it is handsome and comfortable were big bonuses. Would definitely by again and only wish I had known about the company when we did the other rooms in our house. read more

I can't say enough good about my Earth Weave carpet! Not only was it a pleasure to do business with the company, the carpet exceeded my expectations in every way. I researched wool carpets and found Earth Weave to be the purest and most natural, right down to the backing. I had hoped that it would be soft enough, and it is luscious. There was no 'new carpet smell' (thank goodness) because there was no off-gassing of toxic fumes. There was a smell of wool for a few days, which dissipated completely shortly after installation. (I make quilts with wool battings, so I actually loved the smell!) The seams are unnoticeable, and the pile stays resilient and is easy to vacuum. We used Earth Weave's pad as well and I'm happy with the feel. I hope to put the same carpet in my guest rooms soon. I feel so good about helping the air quality in our home. read more

We chose Earthweave because my wife is chemically sensitive. Earthweave is the only carpeting that is not only 100% wool but they also use a natural adhesive for the natural jute backing. There was no smell, no noticeable out-gassing, and my wife had no reaction whatsoever to the new carpet. The carpet is soft and beautiful, wears well, and we have absolutely no problem with it. The salesman said that it lasts forever, and we are happy about the investment. We are moving to a new home shortly and are purchasing Earthweave for installation in that house as well. read more

The carpet mill does not follow through when there is a problem. They gave us a credit memo for the defective material they sent us, then they have not answered our calls or requests to order more materials to use the credit. What a joke. First of all, it's beautiful! Just what we wanted. Color is perfect. It has a very nice, high-quality feel and finish to it. Best of all ... no smell at all when we unrolled it. None of that new carpet chemical smell. To us that was the most amazing thing. Almost always these days new home furnishings have some kind of smell, usually imparted by chemicals in the fabric or other material, and it was so nice to unroll this new carpet, stand back, admire the looks ... and realize we weren't smelling anything at all. read more

This carpet has lots of issues. The color varies so you can end up with two different colors in one room. Pressure marks do not go away, even after months, so you can never move your furniture without leaving marks where it used to be. The carpet smells like wet wool when it's raining. Every seam shows pretty badly despite expert installation. It starts to biodegrade as soon as it is installed and is susceptible to insect damage everywhere you can't vacuum. It needs special knowledge to clean professionally and you must have a special kind of vacuum - which costs several hundred dollars if you don't already have one of its kind. The company has no customer service so inquiries have to be directed to the owner who never returns calls. Even dealers say the carpet manufacturer is "difficult". If I had it to do over, I'd go with Nature's Carpet out of Canada. read more

We had earth weave carpet installed a few years ago but it was recently ruined by water damage. Unfortunately everything had to be removed and we needed to replace what was there. The original carpet was so beautiful and lasted so well that there was no question what we would be putting down. I called the manufacturer and the girl there suggested that we get in touch with the original dealer that had installed for us before. We ended up choosing a different color this time but the bottom line is that the new carpet was installed last month and it looks great. I can't believe how soft this carpet is. I was very excited to find an all natural wool carpet that was earth friendly... I am a designer and only spec wool carpets, and figured I would try this carpet in my own home prior to suggesting it to my clients. I will NEVER recommend with carpet to anyone. I have yet to be able to get any small spillage or accident out of this carpet. It is NOT realistic to have a carpet that won't get something spilled on it. Anytime I have tried to clean this carpet of spot stains the color changes and it looks worse then if it had that stain!!! I DO NOT recommend this carpet. read more

Be very careful when buying this carpet. It's made by all natural materials yes but it's produced in a facility that makes nylon carpets with the same equipment. They also will use chalk and makers to try and hide blemishes then sell you the carpet at full price. Not a very honest company beware!!!!!!! read more
