Last Sunday, I got one of those annoying screens that says "warning" while working on my browser and it wouldn't go away. I couldn't use that browser even after rebooting--the screen just kept coming up. Usually this is a virus and I was worried it would spread. My cheap PC almost died. I love it though because it's been so good to me, I never back it up or do major updates. I've been anticipating one day it would crash or just not power up because it's been running slow. But I was hoping this would happen only after I had the time and day to do a full back up and save all my pictures and important documents. I asked him how much it would cost for him to diagnose and he quickly answered, I had to ask him to repeat the quote because I didn't think I heard correctly. We agreed on a date and time to drop off my computer and after meeting him I had no worries leaving my laptop with him for a couple of days. My laptop would not boot at all, but Sal at least was able to boot it to a point where it was determined that I had a bad memory board that we both agreed it was not worth fixing on this old laptop. He suggested some good PCs that have fewer hardware issues. He didn't even charge me for the diagnostics as I did not want to go through the expense of getting a new motherboard. Sal is great! Reasonably priced and fast turn-around. I took my laptop to him when it became infested with viruses. He cleaned them up and installed a couple of free malware programs that work great. And all of my desktop links and my favorites lists were left untouched. Also I didn't realize how grungy my laptop had become until I picked it up. My computer was a mess invaded by many viruses and other garbage. All my job work is on my computer so I was freaking out. Despite my amateur efforts, I needed a pro. Sal is the man! I took my computer to him a couple weeks ago as it was having some internet connection issues, and Sal fixed the problem within a matter of minutes. Not only did he fix the problem, he also went the extra mile and turned off background programs that were running that didnt need to be, and he also cleaned the up hard drive.
