Solid Thai food. The paang curry & basil fried rice are the best things on the menu! I always do Carry out and it always turns out well

A friend and I were craving Thai food over the weekend and decided to try Maprow Thai -- and it was delicious! We ordered the pineapple fried rice with shrimp, the wonton soup, drunken noodles with shrimp, and, of course, a refreshing Thai tea. Every dish was flavorful, fresh, and beautifully prepared. The service was excellent, and the cozy atmosphere made it the perfect spot to unwind and enjoy great food. It has the feel of a neighborhood gem -- consistent, delicious, and authentic flavor. I've been here 3 or 4 times now. The staff is always pleasant and the restaurant is always clean. Both of which I very much appreciate. The food is good, but could definitely use a bit more flavor (even if it is mild) as another Yelper stated. They automatically give you mild if you don't specify which I forgot. I will return, just have to remember that. I got the Pineapple Fried Rice for the second time and it was good. It comes with chicken and shrimp which I like. And you get a nice sized portion for your money. I might get it another time to see if the dish is more flavorful with a higher spice level. read more

Family owned and authentic. They have dine in but I'm guessing many people don't because it's non traditional service. You order at the counter and then they deliver it to your table. I was the only Dining customer for my entire lunchtime. My meal was fabulous. Pad Woon Sen was Choice of meat or just vegetables, stir-fried with cellophane noodles, baby corn, bell peppers, onions, scallions, Napa cabbage, carrots and eggs. Served with Thai jasmine rice. YUM. Lost a star because music was too loud to enjoy my meal. And it was staticky. When I mentioned it my concern was noted but nothing done about it.Music should compliment the experience not invade it. The worst pad Thai and gyoza I've ever had and I've had many. The flavor of the pad Thai is unbelievably bad and the gyoza are dried out. I couldn't get a refund because it was delivered through Uber Eats and the restaurant wouldn't do anything. Into the trash. read more

I ordered wonton soup. Paid Door Dash for deliver because I just had surgery and can't drive yet. After receiving delivery, I saw they gave me bean sprout soup. Never knew such a soup existed. Tried it. Figured if it was good, no harm done. But I didn't like it at all. Called for delivery of correct order or refund and they refused both. Will never order from Maprow Thai again. read more

The food was fresh and excellent, service was quick, staff attentive. No major ambiance but the place was very clean including the bathroom. It's a small restaurant, we decided to dine in since we were in the area, but not for the ambiance. It has a lot of foot traffic for order pick-ups. I would eat there again read more

Great new Cafe, simple comfortable decor. Pleasant staff. I had-- Drunken noodles w/shrimp. This dish was delicious!! Just enough spice, cooked well and very flavorful. Fried rice with shrimp. I like this Thai spot. It's consistently good. I got the shrimp fried rolls and shrimp Pad Thai. It was tasty but they forgot the sauce. I really didn't miss the sauce because I got to taste the flavors. Next time I will as for yum yum sauce. My only complaint is that I wished there were more shrimp in the Pad Thai (only 5). The service was excellent. I left them a tip which I usually don't do for carry out. Then my food was ready in a jiffy. I am convinced the tip made the difference. Sorry I didn't take pictures because I was hungry. Next time I will take pictures. read more

10.9.2023-Out celebrating Indigenous Peoples Day & happened upon this restaurant. We were actually planning to go to Ashlings Kitchen & Bar (located on the same strip) but forgot they were closed on Mondays. The fact that Maprow Thai was completely empty on a holiday at 6pm gave me pause but my friend encouraged me to try. This is a no frills restaurant with a small seating area as soon as you enter. We went to the register, advised that we're dining in and proceeded to order shrimp cakes & curry puffs for appetizers. For entrees we ordered the Thai fried rice & Crab fried rice. The food took about 25 minutes. I liked the flavor & texture of the apps but the size of the shrimp cakes reminded me of chicken nuggets. My Thai fried rice was tasty. However, the crab fried rice lacked flavor. It was next to impossible to get the one front facing employee's attention. When we shared our issue she frowned & just shook her head. We even asked for salt & pepper, she said they didn't have any. I asked for water a couple times. When I finally went to the front to ask again she slid me 2 cups that looked like they belonged in a 1980s daycare. I noticed most of their business was generated from mobile ordered. I have definitely had better Thai & have no reason return. Our business wasn't appreciated. read more

I ordered the Bangkok noodles and added vegetables, Lard, Thai fried rice chicken and added vegetables, and order of summer rolls. I love the ability to customize it dish; choice of Mets, spice levels, and for the noodles dish; the noodle option was great. The summer rolls were good thanks to the sauce that came with it. The Lard tasted great but didn't come with the crispy noodles or lettuce, so disappointed there. The Thai rice was good but could use a spice or sauce to take it to the next level. The best of the dishes was the Bangkok noodles. Everything was fresh, well seasoned, and great portion. This was a great delivered order that is about 15 to 20 minutes away. Food was still hot! My favorite place for Thai in Crofton. Located next to Ledo's Pizza is a tiny restaurant/carry out selling fresh and tasty Thai. I've only had the drunken noodles. pineapple fried rice and curry puffs. Everything has been great and spiced to you preference. Inside is a few tables for dining but it's more a carry out as there's no alcohol served. The staff are friendly and very efficient. Highly recommend checking it out. read more

Caterpillars in my Broccoli. Twice. This location used to be Pick Thai, changed management in the beginning of 2023 to now be Ma Prow Thai. Previously stopped eating at Pick Thai because I found a caterpillar in my Pra Ram Tofu on the broccoli. Once my favorite Thai place, I was excited to see that they had new management and were willing to give them a chance. Everything was cool until I found another caterpillar in my broccoli. I garden, so I know that this type of bug is commonly found on broccoli while growing. The unfortunate part is that this is really a sign of routinely poor cleaning practices and questionable food handling. I called to tell them this issue, they said the manager would call me back. There has been no correspondence since. It has been more than 2 weeks. I have been frequenting this location multiple times a month for the past 3 years at this point. I used to love this restaurant and now I can no longer recommend or patronize this establishment. A shame in food quality and service. Buyer beware. read more

TL;DR: Seems like every time I visit, the portion sizes get smaller and smaller, but the prices don't! I've only ever ordered take-out on several occasions & each time I question the portion sizes. Typically, I order the crab fried rice & the portion size, especially for the crabmeat, keeps getting smaller & smaller. It, however, is always flavorful & tasty. Today, I opted for the basil fried rice, which was also very flavorful. I decided to pair it with the Moo Yang (Grilled Pork). After picking up my order & running an errand before returning home, I was highly disappointed in the portion size of the Moo Yang. At $11, I was expecting at least 2-3 full sized pork chops or the deboned equivalent. Instead, I got what looked like one shredded pork chop, if I'm being generous. The garnished that was added at the bottom to give the appearance of plentiful accounted for more than than the meat. I know food prices are high, but I felt robbed. The saving grace is that the pork had good taste & I didn't regret venturing out to try a new menu item. I'm at a crossroads with whether I'll continue to return in light of my concerns regarding diminishing portion sizes. read more

Nice place. The food is good. The place is a little distance away. They delivered, but it kind of cost. I guess these covid prices aren't going down even though it's not deadly anymore. I have a problem with that. Only issues. The place is very tiny for dining in. Also, I didn't see cashew chicken on the menu. I'm like, dag. Other than that, it's a pretty good place. All I can say is DELICIOUS! Although it's appears to be a carry out, there were tables to sit and eat. We just finished bowling and was looking for something good to eat and accommodated the vegetarian with us. The cashier was multitasking as she took our order, got our drinks and everything we needed for our meal. She was gracious enough to clear the appetizer plates to make room for the entries. I honestly feel like I could eat dinner from here every night and never get tired of it. The food is hands down, delicious!! I've tried several of the curries, and they are really good. The panang is probably my favorite, but you really cannot go wrong no matter which one you order! I love the Thai Basil fried rice. It's soo good and hits the spot every time I crave it. Their appetizers are all soo good too. The spring rolls, curry puffs, gyoza, sate, shrimp cakes are scrumptious! One time they had these chive dumplings that were crazy good too! My latest obsession from here is the Pad See-Ew, with pork. It's like a comfort food for me. It's my go-to for an easy dinner, when I just want to relax, binge a show and eat something yummy. I've never dined-in, but I have picked up and the interior is really cute, especially since they renovated. It's clean, employees are friendly, food is well packaged. Pricing seems pretty reasonable for what you get, especially given the flavor and quality. read more

I ordered the Bangkok noodles; it was very good. The dish came with shrimp and chicken, a plus for me. The chicken is sliced white meat and shrimp are large. It was a good portion and spice level was perfect for me. I didn't give five stars because of the service. It was my first time ordering from the restaurant. I had questions regarding the dishes I didn't get clear answers to. The lady taking orders seem like she didn't understand English well and made no effort to get my questions answered correctly. I always check my bag before leaving the store. I was surprised the only thing in the bag was the food I ordered, no napkins and fork for a takeout order. My plan was to eat in the car, so I asked for some napkins and a fork. It seem that would be automatic for takeout orders. The restaurant was clean. It is small, so don't plan going with a big group. Tried the drunken noodles with pork ( medium heat, default), thai iced tea, and mango and sticky rice. Let's start by saying the medium was pretty spicy, and I can handle spicy. There was a small group of people across from me, and I heard one person say they couldn't eat their dish because it was too spicy for them... Portion size was comparable to other Thai restaurants in the area. It came with more than the standard onions, bell peppers, and basil. It also had green beans, carrots, and zucchini. All the vegetables were cooked perfectly and not overcooked. Flavor was to my liking. Again, most people would say it was too spicy. The tea and the mango and sticky rice were nothing special. They tasted the same as in most places. This place is small. It can only seat 20 people. Thai music, I believe, was playing at the right volume. I'll be back to try one of their many dishes, as their menu is very extensive. read more

The Asian female was so friendly and helpful; this food is possibly the best Thai food that I have ever eaten. The Curry Puffs with Chicken are scrumptious. We had to get two orders of these. The Bangkok Noodles are wonderful as well as the Panang Curry. read more
