Yes, not wanting to cook on a Friday evening I took the recommendation of someone who said that this was the best Chinese food in the area. It is right off of 30 one in a strip mall area so easy to find there was plenty of parking. It's a very casual set up. It is only takeout. There is a printed paper menu and someone standing at a patio table, taking orders with another person behind the counter taking phone orders. I got two eggrolls and the Singapore noodles. Yes, the eggrolls or just basic eggrolls. Definitely came out of a case and dropped in some oil. Nothing special just a basic. The Singapore noodles were somewhere between bad and awful. It said spicy, but these were outrageously, spicy and spicy in a way that it doesn't feel like they were properly mixed or stirfried, because they were hotter sections than others other than the spice. There wasn't much flavor. the noodles were very dry . I took a few bites and force myself to eat some because I was so hungry, but I just couldn't finish it. They seem pretty popular, so maybe I caught them on a bad day or when their best chef was not working, I might try them one more time, but I'm not highly motivated to do so based on my experience

I was in the Crofton area for an appointment and wanted to grab a bite since I had time. Looked up food and came across Goodie's Cafe. I was expecting something different, I guess I was expecting more of a cuisine feel. However, it was just your basic carry-out. There was no ambiance really, just open space and a few chairs. I looked at the menu and wasn't SUPER intrigued by much. The young lady tried to help me, when I asked if they had any lunch specials. They DO NOT have a lunch special. That sucked. So I perused the menu some more, nothing popped out at me. The young lady said, we have chicken wings and French fries. I looked up and said, "I don't eat chicken."She looked away. Why was that the 1st thing out of your mouth to me? Anywho... I settled on the whiting DINNER @ 12:07pm. The food was mediocre. There's really nothing to write home about. I DO NOT like that they broke my fish in 1/2's. That lets the heat out of the food. The mumbo sauce was runny and spicy. The fried rice looked like yellow fried rice. There were no vegetables in my vegetable fried rice. And the breading on the fish was bland. Even with the mumbo sauce, the fish was worse. The tartar sauce made it edible. The good about this experience, the food was quick and hot when I got it. The size of the mumbo sauce and tartar sauces were exceptional. But this experience was not one for my taste buds to enjoy. Maybe i will give it another try, but I don't know if it's worth the money.

This place is to go only! We have been a couple times and it's delicious! The people who work there are nice and it's clean. We have ordered the honey walnut shrimp, green beans and chicken in a brown garlic sauce (spicy), pork dumplings, crab rangoons, and sesame chicken. It was all delicious and tasted as expected. The spice on the green bean chicken was perfect, not too hot. The veggies were fresh and not soggy. We will definitely be back to try more!

My friends and I ordered food togo from Goodies the other day. It was my 1st time eating their food. Webordered ahead and our order was ready right on time, that's a plus. The food was hot, that's a plus, the price quantity ratio was good, that's a plus, staff was friendly, always a plus, I had the Thai noodles which I thought were good as well as my friends, that's a plus. The egg rolls left a little to be desired. They were hudge but dry, not a plus. Overall I would give Goodies another try. I heard the Singapore noodles were good but spicy.

This was their General Tao Chicken. I ate the broccoli but couldn't eat the rest at all. What a waste of money. This was more like a soup. Was wayyy too much sauce. Flavor was pretty good though. Also ordered the fish sandwich with everything! That was also soggy and the bread was falling apart.

I had to stop eating to come write a review. I've been wanting to try this place for a while because of the reviews. But, I've always been skeptical because Chinese food isn't usually my go-to unless I'm truly craving it. And if I'm craving it, I'd rather not take a chance on my money or appetite so I typically go with something else. Today i took a chance, and I'm so glad i did! Not only did i order from here....i ordered delivery!!! My food was still hot, and the crab rangoons (which i was most worried about), were still crispy!! Portions, flavor, packaging, all on point!!! I've found a new spot to support! Give them a try

My friend recommended this spot and everything she said was true. The customer service was on point and the food was delicious. I was able to order and pay via the Yelp app, so all I had to do was walk in and pick up my food. The guy that brought my order was very friendly. He made small talk and just seemed genuinely happy to be there. Since I was new here, I got my old faithful fried rice. They had a seafood fried rice so I opted for that instead, medium spicy. The shrimp were a nice size and the scallops were properly cooked, although I would have liked a few more scallops and shrimps. Overall, I was pleased with the size of the dish & taste of the rice. I also liked the option to choose the spice level. Usually, my fried rice isn't spicy at all, but I actually like a little spice in this dish.

Tried this place and wasn't sure about the reviews since they ranged from a few months ago to many years ago. Took a chance and sadly it was a miss. The food was not disgusting but it also wasn't memorable by any means. Everything was bland and in desperate need of seasoning. The fried rice looked strange. The general tso wasn't crispy and the sauce was bland. We ate the meal out of hunger but not satisfaction. And it will be the last time I ever go back sadly. I wanted this to be good but spent the whole time convincing myself it was good than actually enjoying it.

It's been just over a year, and it's been rough finding something in the area that can even come close. It's gotten to the point that I wasn't even about to try Hunan Express, because of how terrible the other places in the area have been. However, I'm glad I did. The food here is not perfect, but it's decent. They have huge portions, and the food actually has flavor. Last night we ordered the General Tso's chicken, 5 pc wing combo, and sweer & Sour chicken. We also ordered fried wontons, and the meals came with egg rolls and soup. The General Tso's chicken came in a container filled to the brim with pork fried rice. The chicken could've been crispier, and less saucy, but it was decent. I feel like if I specified how I wanted it, they could easily adjust it for me as other have in the past. I just don't like my chicken swimming in the sauce. The sweet & sour chicken was spot on, and actually tasted similar to the carryouts around where I grew up at. A little soy sauce on the chicken and the salty from the soy sauce goes well with the sweet and sour combination of the sauce. The wontons were meh! Hard over fried and not that good, but the hot and sour soup was on the money. The egg rolls were decent, but a little greasy. I wish they were crispier, but outside of having to remove some of the grease they were pretty good. The wings were also solid, my only hold up is that they break the wings down into flats and drumsticks and count them each. So a 5 pc wing is only 2.5 wings (3 flats and 2 drumsticks or vice versa), and the fries were soggy. I feel like even though the food isn't perfect, it's still solid. It's not just completely bland or bad. I'm okay with adding soy sauce to something I feel needs a boost, but I am against food that is just not prepared well, and I think that's where Hunan Express edges the other guys out. On top of that the store is clean, and that's something I feel you have to pay attention to these days. The thing is I'm not looking for authentic Chinese cuisine, I'm looking for good Chinese carryout food. I'm looking for something quick and reliable, on a night when I'd rather hang with the kids and be lazy. I can't say that this is going to be our new weekly replacement, but atleast between here, and 2 other spots that require some driving, we can get by...overall I'd give the food a 6.5 - MAYBE 7 out of 10

Apparently not. It's a burrito. I ordered a miso soup and it's literally separated. They didn't even bother to mix it. So this tells me it's been in this container all day. They also didn't provide a spoon. Normally not a problem except this was an order to take to a bar. A restaurant must not assume every to-go order is going home. I have been ordering once or twice a month for the last 6 months or so. I generally get the shrimp hibachi but everyone once in a while I will order a sushi roll. The noodles can taste a little greasy sometimes but overall I think this food is worth the $20ish I usually spend for an entree. Usually ends up being two full meals for me, and I don't have to leave the house!
