Anytime we visit with friends, we have a great time. It's even better with the big outdoor patio. The staff is absolutely wonderful, patient and helpful. My friend and I love getting the pizza. We all had the pepperoni pizza which has tons of cheese that is oooeeyy gooooeeeyyy goodness. The pepperoni was very tasty without being too greasy. The beers are always good no matter what you get. I liked my cherry cider but wished it had been sweeter. Our friends love the variety of IPAs. Definitely come check them out. They even have trivia and it's tons of fun to play here. read more

We stopped by on Sunday afternoon around 1:30pm and it was pretty chill with not a lot of people there. The parking situation isn't amazing and while some people tried to park on narrow Julius Street, I recommend just parking on Hamilton Ave and walking over. The taproom inside is pretty big and so is their outdoor area. You can order a flight of 3 or 6 beers and I chose 6. There is also a small food menu with a couple of pizzas and a handful of other snacks. We got the pizza of the week, the Seattle Dog, and it was pretty good! read more

We came here on a Saturday evening and had a great time having beers and pizza with friends. East End offers a variety of different style beers. This time I had the rice lager which was light and enjoyable. They also have a bunch of NA options and Barmy Soda. We had their pizza of the week- Sonoran Dog, which had garlic oil, refried beans, mozzarella, hotdog, bacon, tomato, onion, guacamole , mayo, and cilantro . It was super tasty. This pizza had a thick crust which I really enjoyed. I like that there is plenty of comfortable seating in the taproom. We had a group of 5 and found a space no problem. In better weather I love their outdoor beer garden. Parking can be tricky, but there is lots of street parking around the block. read more

Went in for an "event" for my organization, and had a blast. There was this group of musicians jamming out Irish shanties, which was so fun, and I got to try a purple beer! So when I went on I thought the bartender looked familiar, and we bonded over having common faces, then she generously offered some tastes, and they were both great. I went with a coffee snow, which may be why I didn't get tired until late (), but it was worth it. I had eaten but my people loved the pretzels and flatbread. They said the honey butter was out of sight. My second beer was a recommendation. I went back up and asked what else she thought I would like, and she suggested a pineapple ube sour. I did not think I would like it because sours miss more often than they hit, but this hit hard. I loved it! I'm so happy to have found this place that is walkable from my apartment! read more

They have pickle beer on draft. This is not the one that is served at picklesburg. This is more of a cucumber flavor. The I.C. Band is the one at pickelsburg. The I.C ( Iron City) is a true pickle flavor. Don't get me wrong this is good but is cucumber and not pickle flavored. read more

I had been wanting to try their beer for some time now and they just happened to be at VegFest 2022 and I finally got my first taste and damn was it good. I truly enjoyed your beers and I truly enjoyed being served with a smile at your booth and my gf loved their cider as well as the Barmy Cream Soda they were serving that she still talks about to this day lol So, the next time we were in town we decided to visit the brick and mortar location since we were staying in East Liberty and it was right down the street from our hotel. Tbh, it is in a weird location. Zero parking besides the little bit of street parking that is available in front of the business for maybe 6 vehicles on a good day. It makes zero sense to me to open a brewery without a parking lot or at least close access to one. There is a huge grass lot across the street that could be used for parking if leased or purchased. Also, there is a 5G tower directly across the street for your view which is kind of strange to be honest. The building itself is cool and the outside area is nice as well but the staff was super off vibe to me and odd considering there was literally only 8 people there the day we visited. I've never been to a single brewery where I bought a flight of beer but I was given a pen and paper to write down the beers and then they just gave me the piece of paper to remember with no numbering on the flight itself. Smh! I mean, I'm spending good money to drink your beer, give you business, tip you and you make me do your work too, that's not the way a brewery should work. Lol I like their beers and from what I've heard from numerous friends in the area their pizza is pretty good too, but this isn't a place I'd likely return to be honest. I've been to almost every brewery in the Pittsburgh area and location wise this is my least favorite. read more

Overall the beer was very solid and we liked the options available. Unfortunately it wasn't really relaxing or enjoyable due to the mass amount of children at the brewery. It was about 3:1 ratio of kids at the brewery running around and management didn't really do anything about it. We just focused on ourselves but definitely didn't feel very adult there. read more

This brewery has been here for 10 years. We tried to stop by months ago but they were not opened yet. Finally stopped by in enough time for last call. I had the hazy IPA (Squirrel) something and it didn't taste like your traditional hazy ipa. It was fine but didn't get those rich juice tastes that you normally have with a hazy IPA. We arrived and the staff was friendly and nice and allowed us extra time to drink our beers before they closed. We were the last ones remaining. It appears that they have food which I'd like to try the next time we are here. They have a nice outside area which looks cool and inside is ver spacious with lots of room to sit. What I'm not a fan of is the parking situation. I have a truck, so I can park it partly on the sidewalk, not a problem but when the limited area fills up then no where to park at. It's in a odd part of town that I wouldn't feel comfortable parking down the street and walking up. Location could be better and or have some official place to park. My first time here, so maybe a lot of unknowns for myself. read more

Service was ok. There were obviously people there who frequent this location as the servers seemed to be very attentive to them and carried on lengthy conversations. Line moved quickly, though. There's a pizza place attached to this location. But the pizza "slice" was really just a piece of Ciabatta bread with pizza sauce on top and a couple of slices of pepperoni. Interesting concept but not our favorite pizza in Pitt. Dogs are allowed in the outside sitting area. But it is only slightly covered so when it rains, prepare for your fur babies to be soaked. (Saw this while we were there). On street parking available just make sure to park up on the sidewalk to give maximum breadth to street traffic. read more

When entering, the staff was very helpful and told us to seat ourselves and to go to the line and view the menu and order when ready. My friend and I saw that each week, they have what's called the "pizza of the week". We went with the Jalapeño Popper Pizza ! It was amazing ! From the crust, the cheese, the fresh jalapeños, the bacon and the strawberry glaze ! Holy crap ! Best $18 I have ever spent on a pizza at a brewery !! Delicious beer, great space, nice people and dog friendly. Overall this is probably my favorite brewery in the city. The space is large and accommodating, and the line to get a beer is exactly that, a line. Don't get me wrong, I'm 100% sit at the bar kind of gal, but it is refreshing to come into a busy brewery and be waited on in a quick and efficient manner. There are plenty of tables, high ones and low ones along with a floating bar behind the beer counter where you order. Recently we have been on a big NE IPA kick. Their Partly Clahdy is a wonderful addition to their menu. It's a little pricier per ounce then some of their other beers but man it is worth it. Another great go-to is the Big Hop. The outdoor area is equipped with plenty of picnic tables to enjoy a nice sunny day. The view isn't too scenic, but the quality of the drink easily makes up for it. I do wish they were open a little later on the weekends, but you can always get a growler to go. Furthermore unlike some breweries in the city we have never had an issue finding parking close by and for free. read more

Friends dropped in on a lazy Sunday afternoon to enjoy a very limited (and in short supply) selection of pizzas. We were not disappointed. Specialty pizza: The Melilla: Thick Sicilian Crust, Herb Garlic Oil, Roasted Red Peppers, Roasted Chickpeas, Housemade Vegan Feta, Spinach, and Pomegranate Molasses Drizzle. - A white pizza with a great balance of flavors. The slightly acidic pomengranate molasses drizzle is fragrant like balsamic vinegar and provides a bright flavor to offset the heavier aspects of the pizza. My favorite part of this pizza was the roasted chickpeas - little umami bombs, great texture and absolutely delicious! Pepperoni pizza: A great thick-crust classic. I really enjoyed the thick dough that provided a fluffy base for the thick layers of cheese. Personally not my favorite but it's very hearty especially during the winter! Regarding the location, they're on a very narrow street. I recommend parking on the adjacent street about a block down. They have an enormous outdoor seating area where we nearly froze ourselves due to the lack of outdoor heating. The food definitely kept us going (as well as the delicious beverages). Given these difficult circumstances, it is understandable. However, when and if they are able to accommodate more patrons I would also highly recommend outdoor heating!! read more

We held a baby shower at EEB on Sunday afternoon. After speaking with the manager ahead of time they had several appetizers ready the minute we walked in. The people who drank beer really enjoyed it, the variety and were able to sample any they were deciding on. I'm not a drinker but was so surprised by the amazing, hand squeezed fruit sodas! The grapefruit is so good! The bartenders, Chris, Keri and Ben couldn't have been nicer or more accommodating. And the food - Cheryl, the kitchen manager, makes such wonderful and unexpected food! Every single thing was delicious but the pizzas and the shaved brussel sprout salads were the best. Thank you EEB for allowing us to host a great afternoon. read more

Made my second trip here this past Sunday and I'm honestly not sure how I've only been here twice. The beer is SO good and I love how they are named after Pittsburgh neighborhoods. This visit I had the Knoxville which is a hazy pale ale...mmmmmm sooo tasty. The beers are very reasonably priced. There is plenty of seating inside. Since it's February there weren't any tables set up outside but my first visit was last summer and the outside setup was super cute. A bonus is they offer beer + yoga classes. Look it up on facebook! They do have food available that is on the pricier side. My only beef is parking. The street that it is located on is very narrow and you have to park on the sidewalk so you don't get hit by cars. There are also a couple streets nearby to park on. I will be back to try more neighborhood beers. read more

As a lover of sours, there are often not one, but TWO, options on draft. - AMAZING FOOD. Larder of East End is fantastic. They offer sandwiches, so you could get a regular meal. We tend to order a variety of wings and other sides to share as a group so that we can taste as many of the amazing menu options as possible. East End to me is still one of the best breweries around. You might even say pioneers in the game of craft beers and IPAs. Along Came A Cider has been one of my faves for awhile now. Finally tried the Food Rescue 412 loaf pour and it is so good. The fact that it's made from bread is a wonderful way to rid of unnecessary food waste. The location is standard brewery architecture and decor. More barebones than some of the newer places and definitely compared to their newer location in the Strip. But, I like it. A lot. Simpler is better. Especially when it's all about the beer! read more

Probably the best beer in Pittsburgh. I attended a beer hike with Venture Outdoors and then our group took a tour of the brewery. They took time to explain the beer making process and they showed all the ingredients and tools that went into producing the beer. We tasted lots of great beer and all of our questions were answered in a very helpful way. It's a Green Brewery, so everything is recycled or reused. Remember to take your growler to get refilled. There's a coffee bar in the corner as you walk in. Everyone is very friendly and knowledgeable. I'm a huge fan of Snow Melt and their Pale Ale. I really liked the other location, but absolutely LOVE the new location. They have a broader range of their beers of tap and the building is a lot more comfortable. read more

I FINALLY was able to make a trip to come to East End Brewery. I was introduced to East End Brewery through the Pittsburgh Public Market & fell in love with their beers & friendly service. The Saturday before Halloween, I spent so much time searching the Burgh for a brewery or bar to go to that was having some type of Halloween festivity.. Can you believe that the only one I found was East End Brewery (get it together Pittsburgh- Halloween is a big deal!)?! They had a beer flight with Halloween candy pairing special - so I surprised the boyfriend & we headed to East End. It was also their release weekend for Snow Melt- which is my boyfriend's favorite beer. We had a great time. The courtyard is really nice; we brought Primanti's with us & ate it outside, then went inside after a bee wouldn't leave me alone. The inside was really cute & fun. I believe all three on the platter come from the same farm and possibly the same cows yet they have different flavors and textures. This would be a fun fact to explain on the menu.
