A date and I came here on a Sunday evening for a drink and some pizza. He got a beer and I got a root beer. We also split a pepperoni pizza. Ordering was simple and since the day was nice, we sat outside in their yard/patio area. They have additional seating indoors too. This spot is nestled away in East Liberty but it's easy to find. Definitely a neat spot. I'll be back!

Always great beers. My first time trying their pizza. It was excellent. I recommend it. I had a Joe Melt beer. You gotta try it!

Nice atmosphere with a lot of drink choices and a modest offering of tasty bites. I tried one of the ciders, the Strip District which was on the drier end, alongside a slice of the pizza of the month (tasty! - bolognese) and a pretzel with beer cheese (perfect!). Cheers!

Love East End, a local treasure. A great place to hang out, friendly to all, and good food and food beers! The rotating pizza of the week is always tasty. I get picky with beers but East End always has something I like!

I had been wanting to try their beer for some time now and they just happened to be at VegFest 2022 and I finally got my first taste and damn was it good. I truly enjoyed your beers and I truly enjoyed being served with a smile at your booth and my gf loved their cider as well as the Barmy Cream Soda they were serving that she still talks about to this day lol So, the next time we were in town we decided to visit the brick and mortar location since we were staying in East Liberty and it was right down the street from our hotel. Tbh, it is in a weird location. Zero parking besides the little bit of street parking that is available in front of the business for maybe 6 vehicles on a good day. It makes zero sense to me to open a brewery without a parking lot or at least close access to one. There is a huge grass lot across the street that could be used for parking if leased or purchased. Also, there is a 5G tower directly across the street for your view which is kind of strange to be honest. The building itself is cool and the outside area is nice as well but the staff was super off vibe to me and odd considering there was literally only 8 people there the day we visited. I've never been to a single brewery where I bought a flight of beer but I was given a pen and paper to write down the beers and then they just gave me the piece of paper to remember with no numbering on the flight itself. Smh! I mean, I'm spending good money to drink your beer, give you business, tip you and you make me do your work too, that's not the way a brewery should work. Lol I like their beers and from what I've heard from numerous friends in the area their pizza is pretty good too, but this isn't a place I'd likely return to be honest. I've been to almost every brewery in the Pittsburgh area and location wise this is my least favorite.

I wanted this to be a good hangout after work- but there's no one here to hang out with- other than the lovely staff. And no tv to silently zone-out into. Beer is good. Pizza is good. Friendly! Maybe I will come back in the summer and there will be another patron or two to converse with.

Pizza is always good. Something about their pizza makes it really special, I love it. The beer is good as well with a nice selection. The employees are very friendly too.

This brewery has been here for 10 years. We tried to stop by months ago but they were not opened yet. Finally stopped by in enough time for last call. I had the hazy IPA (Squirrel) something and it didn't taste like your traditional hazy ipa. It was fine but didn't get those rich juice tastes that you normally have with a hazy IPA. We arrived and the staff was friendly and nice and allowed us extra time to drink our beers before they closed. We were the last ones remaining. It appears that they have food which I'd like to try the next time we are here. They have a nice outside area which looks cool and inside is ver spacious with lots of room to sit. What I'm not a fan of is the parking situation. I have a truck, so I can park it partly on the sidewalk, not a problem but when the limited area fills up then no where to park at. It's in a odd part of town that I wouldn't feel comfortable parking down the street and walking up. Location could be better and or have some official place to park. My first time here, so maybe a lot of unknowns for myself.

Service was ok. There were obviously people there who frequent this location as the servers seemed to be very attentive to them and carried on lengthy conversations. Line moved quickly, though. There's a pizza place attached to this location. But the pizza "slice" was really just a piece of Ciabatta bread with pizza sauce on top and a couple of slices of pepperoni. Interesting concept but not our favorite pizza in Pitt. Dogs are allowed in the outside sitting area. But it is only slightly covered so when it rains, prepare for your fur babies to be soaked. (Saw this while we were there). On street parking available just make sure to park up on the sidewalk to give maximum breadth to street traffic.

After a hard night of training , my friends and I decided to visit East End Brewing ..... the verdict ... I'll be back before this week is over ! When entering, the staff was very helpful and told us to seat ourselves and to go to the line and view the menu and order when ready. My friend and I saw that each week, they have what's called the "pizza of the week". We went with the Jalapeño Popper Pizza ! It was amazing ! From the crust, the cheese, the fresh jalapeños, the bacon and the strawberry glaze ! Holy crap ! Best $18 I have ever spent on a pizza at a brewery !! I did not drink any beer on the weekdays for now, but I did try their seltzer water ! Refreshing ! Please check them out if you have not !

Regular here in the beer world but surprisingly never had their food. Has a delicious specialty slice with Garlic oil, smoked Gouda, mozzarella, sautéed leeks, bacon, thyme, and hot honey. It was awesome. I'd come here more frequently if the draft lineup rotated a bit more frequently.

My girl friends and I came after four years of me wanting to come here. I love Gravel Grinder and live close to an OTB so heard of Dancing Gnome from that. Finally made our way there and well, make sure you do not bring young kids. My friend had an 18 month old with us and as she was BUYING a beer from them, the guy who worked there asked if she "could keep the screaming to a minimum." An eighteen month old!!! And Mother's Day is tomorrow, nice. He said that they had to draw a line somewhere and he wasn't kidding. The 18 month old was not running around screaming crying all day. We were outside having the kids play and when my friend was buying a beer he got a bit fussy and was told to keep it to a minimum. Needless to say, we will NOT be coming back. If you have small children, I would not suggest this place. Super disappointing. I've always hyped their beer and place up and now I can't support it. We ended up going to Grist House and it was a WAY better vibe and WAY busier...I wonder why. I should have known when their sign said no dogs allowed.

Not pictured but you NEED to get a Cindy's Tea when you come here. They sell these in cans as well I always try and grab a pack if we don't bike here! Their crunch wrap is my favorite thing on their menu. If I'm not getting it as my meal I'm forcing it as a table shareable it is that good. Usually I just get their fries with it which is always yummy but this time I tried their mac and it was so delicious! The Chicken Caesar wrap was so good normally I think places never put enough dressing in them but this was perfectly dressed! We tried their Heirloom Tomato & Watermelon Salad and added chicken to it. Idk where I've been but watermelon on a salad?! AMAZING!!! I wouldn't take off or add anything else to this(except chicken clearly lol) it was so refreshing and light and perfect!

This is a little different as they are set up with toast where you scan the QR menu and place your order and then they bring the food or drink to your table. You don't really have a server per se. We came in on a Friday afternoon around 4 o'clock and it was pretty quiet. We chose to sit upstairs and ordered the season of the month chicken wings. It was sour cream and cheddar dry rub. We did get them well done and I'm glad we did because it did make them crunchy here although they still weren't all that crunchy. The dry rub was actually really good, but it was a little bit like eating Cheetos as when you took your fingers away they were covered in orange powder. My husband tried their wheat ale - the easy golden. It was okay, but a little hop forward for him. They did have a arsenal cider on tap so I chose that for my beverage.

So have you seen that meme out on the InterT00bZ that's like "Hey let's go to that new beer place…read morethey have $27 warm hazy IPAs in the middle of a parking lot?" Yeah, that's the vibe I was getting at Velum. There was a lot to like and a lot to not like about this place, so I'll start with the bad and end on a positive note. First off, it's in an old brewery and it looks like a warehouse. I'm not sure if they still brew their own beers but it straight up looks like an old warehouse. I've seen abandoned warehouses that look less like a warehouse than Velum. Maybe some people like that vibe but I felt like the cops were going to bust in and shut the party down like a teen coming-of-age movie. The taproom is all the way in the back, and so are the bathrooms, so if you break the magic circle, prepare to get your steps in. There's no kitchen. They DO partner with a food truck but they're getting their own review. I paid $10 for an average cocktail and $8 for a 12 oz cider that frankly wasn't that great. Either better drinks or bigger drinks, please. And everything is community seating. I don't hate the idea but I didn't care for the vibe so when I found a smaller table my friend and I grabbed it and boarded it. With that being said, there was a lot to like too. First off, we were there for a pinball night, and they have a great selection of pinball tables there, both classic and modern. I really would have liked information on joining a pinball league, but that wasn't offered anywhere that I could find. Plus on that particular night it was $10 for all-you-can-play, so we definitely got our money's worth there. The staff that I did interact with were super nice. That goes a long way and saved this from being a worse review. And the place is dog friendly, which is always a huge plus for me. All in all, I had a decent night. But the question as always is if I'll go back. Unfortunately, probably not of my own accord. If there's another pinball event, I'll definitely go, but it's not going into my rotation of cool spots. Not every place is meant for me, and that's fine.
