He has been the one we call for heating and AC service for years. He'll handily fix your equipment or advise you on replacement if it's irreparable. He will NOT try to peddle anything to you. Doug offered common sense solutions for a couple of issues we had with our heating system and we chose them to install a new heat pump when the old one broke down. Supply chain issues delayed the delivery of the heat pump, but they made sure we had heating by installing the heat exchanger right away. Once the heat pump was delivered it was expertly installed. When a leak on the system caused the pump to shut down a couple of days later, they came right out-- on a Sunday to diagnose the problem. They came back again the next day to fix it, and the day after to make are everything was working right. I'd give six stars if I could. read more

I had many negative thoughts toward anybody who was to come and install a new furnace.. Finally turned to my neighbor who had a new furnace installed by East Hill, and he's the person I trust. Excellent service! They were able to set up an appointment for the next day and gave a 3 hour estimated time window. I was expecting them to show up on the later end because that's how service calls tend to go, but they called about halfway through the window and arrived promptly after they called. Service was great! He cleaned my furnace out and provided some tips to keep it in good condition. Wonderful company! First time turning on our gas furnace this Fall.....No. Heat...!! Apparently we weren't alone. East Hill was the only one who returned my call. They returned my call promptly and even squeezed us in, same day, despite being swamped. Unfortunately our choice was either a $700 repair on a 17 year old furnace or a whole new furnace. It wasn't welcome news - but East Hill fit us in and installed a brand new furnace NEXT DAY. It isn't as if a new furnace is cheap but they quoted us a very fair price. I should have posted this a few months back. Today it's cold outside but warm in and it's thanks to this team. I have an old Trane model for years. I've been using it fine and then it stopped blowing hot air in Spring they diagnosed the issue when the controller broke. I ordered a new kit and got it installed late Summer. They installed it and worked out any issues. Their prices were the best and they were super professional all around. I highly recommend you call them before you start replacing things. read more

I can't say enough good things about our experience with East Hill Heating & Cooling. After returning home from a week long vacation our furnace had stopped working. We spent a very chilly night and were eager to get our situation addressed, but it was Sunday. Most businesses are closed Sunday and we figured it would be unlikely but started making calls to several area businesses and independent technicians. After leaving a message at East Hill Heating a & Cooling I received a return phone call within 10 minutes from Christy who asked me a few questions (location and type of furnace). She was extremely kind and pleasant. She said she would call Doug and get back to me within 10 minutes. Not 5 minutes later Doug called me and asked for my specific address and promised to arrive within an hour. He delivered on his promise and arrived and immediately got to work, he confirmed our suspicion that the starter needed to be replaced, and had it replaced and our furnace working within 30 minutes of his arrival. He was fast, professional and ensured everything was working well before departing. Our invoice was less than we expected to pay and we will definitely use this company again. I needed service to get my gas furnace going again after the thermostat was replaced. When I called I was told that the Technician was out doing a furnace install and that he would call me in the morning. I was pleasantly surprised when he did call me at 8:30 the next morning. He said that he could be at my house between 1:30 & 2:00 pm. He said that he would call me when he was on the way so that I could go home to meet him. Doug showed up right on time and went right to work diagnosing the problem. He mad some adjustments to the furnace and discovered a blown fuse. He changed the fuse, tweaked the furnace a bit to make it run more efficiently and was on his way in about 40 minutes. I very much appreciated the professionalism of Doug and all the folks at East Hill Heating & Cooling. I will definitely keep their number handy should I need to refer them to a friend. read more

My experience was not so positive. Called East Hill when my furnace was red tagged by PSE. Christie told me they were extremely busy and made it sound like they were doing me this great favor squeezing me the next day. The plan was for her to call me the next day to let me know when the technician would be available to come by my place. She called me the next day and left VM that technican could come by my place. I called her back 2 hours later and she was angry i didnt called her back earlier. Then told me they would not take my job on if the issue was the heat exchanger because they would make no money if it was warranty work. I have a Bryant furnace and they are a Bryant dealer. I chose at that point to take my business else where. I called Complete AC and Heating and got my furnace up the same day with no BS. Customer wins! read more

Woman on the phone, I believe her name was Christy (forgive me if its not), was very pleasant to speak to. I was shocked they could get to me the same day I called! In fact, they were able to come a couple hours ahead of what they originally scheduled me and I was able to make it to work on time! The Gentleman who came and repaired my furnace was prompt, knowledgeable and efficient. Ive only lived in my house a few years and he recognized my furnace as the one he originally put in back in 2001, how cool is that! Anyway, I have no idea what the negative reviews are about on here, they clearly were not reviewing the same place that came to work on my furnace. I highly recommend, there was no upsale, just to the point and fixed what was wrong. I bet you the gentleman I read about in the reviews is wonderful. Lots of places have great technicians, honestly. East Hill H&C is just the first place we called when we couldn't take being cold anymore and we never got past the receptionist. My understanding is that they are busy this time of year and were going to try and sandwich us in somewhere. However, when they called to come- no one could answer because we all work. We did call back because we want to be warm, of course... but by then, the receptionist was angry and it was all downhill from there. I can tell you this, we never "demand" service (we aren't so entitled) and it most likely was a huge misunderstanding. However, it was the oddest and angriest encounter that never needed to happen. I will never call this place again, another place did the job, quickly and without the drama. I could never recommend this place after all the vitriol and unprofessionalism. So strange. I am giving East Hill Heating a high rating because they were honest, very friendly and helpful. My furnace is approaching 20 years old, and I want an assessment to see if repair/replacement is needed before it gives out. I called East Hill and talked to the receptionist. She is quite knowledgeable and can describe the different types of furnaces. She listened and understood that what I am doing is preventative action (the furnace is running). Even though I asked for a technician to come out and assess, she suggested a no-cost alternative through Puget Sound Energy. It turned out PSE has a program that provides for assessment and recommendation, which is what I was looking for. All at no cost. Even though East Hill has not actually work on furnace, they have definitely earned my trust and deserved a high rating. read more

Impressed! We called several places and East Hill was the first to respond in a genuinely friendly and helpful manner. They scheduled us quickly, and Doug even arrived early. He was professional and friendly, explained what the problem was, and gave us tips on how to maintain our furnace between services so that we could extend it's shelf-life. Started contacting different companies as my wife "heard an explosion" from the furnace. Similar experience to other situations in which I've tried to get service at my house for pests/appliances - smaller companies polite and follow through, larger companies may be reached by phone but often times don't show up/can't keep appointments. In regards to East Hill, I called on a Sunday evening and got through to Christy right away. She was very courteous and after explaining the situation she let me speak to the technician (Doug). After speaking about some possibilities of the problem they got me scheduled for the following morning (was told Doug would arrive by 11 AM). Sure enough, I received a call from Christy at 10:50 AM explaining that Doug was on his way and he arrived shortly thereafter. During the assessment Doug gave multiple options to rectify the situation, he seemed knowledgeable and professional. The painters needed heat so the paint would dry. I figured we wouldn't be able to get any help with it until at least Monday. I called East Hill heating and cooling. My furnace stopped working. We checked the internet for solutions, but none of them worked so we decided to call for a repairman. We checked yelp and East Hill Heating and Cooling got excellent reviews. So, we called them and the lady who answered the phone was friendly and courteous. She informed me that she would send out a repairman the next day. Since it was short notice, she said that he may not be able to get out to our house until the afternoon. To my surprise, he was out the next morning. He identified and fixed the problem within an hour. He also answered all my questions and pointed out that the blower may need repair. He suggested that I call the manufacturer to see if it was still under warranty. Excellent service. I would highly recommend them for your heating and air conditioning needs. read more

Our air conditioning unit quit last night with high heat in the forecast. I started calling around and no one could come for another 5 days. However, when I called East Hill it was a different story. I was told that Doug was out on a call but could probably come at the end of the afternoon. He did come and within just a half hour we were back in business. They were courteous, friendly and eager to be of service. The bill was very reasonable and he even washed the filters, something no other service provider has done. They came out and replaced a bad igniter. We thought that was the end of the problem, but when it stopped working again later that day, East Hill made time to come back out early the next morning and replace a bad control board. Great experience with this company two days ago. Squeezed me onto the end of their scheduled day when other companies were telling me I had to wait a week. They called me twice to update me on the time the repair person would arrive, very service oriented. Doug arrived and while doing initial trouble shooting he adjusted a contact wire and the "broken" heat pump fired up. He left after being on site for 10 minutes with no charge, a handshake and a request to keep him in mind for future work. Doesn't get much better than that. Greg read more
