THIS IS THE SPOT CARNALES. Grab your Jefitas and Jefitos, the besties when you need tacos. This was so good. The price is well worth it. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I love the fact it's spacious, and smells so much like fresh pan when you walk in.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Ha[[HIGHLIGHT]]ndmade Tortillas are made the only way to eat their food! The fact that this based on the iconic and infamous Chicano movie : Blood In and Blood Out. The[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]re's quotes all along the walls and paintings of the scenes. The service is interesting and quick. They are on top of service and the accuracy. I loved how fresh and delicious the food was. The variety of salsas and toppings were ALL SO AMAZING! Definitely a must try!

Spacious and airy restaurant offers speedy service and an uncomplicated menu. In addition to tacos and meat options, East Los Tacos also offers a breakfast menu. The servings here are plentiful so bring your appetite! My go to menu item is the Keto Burrito Bowl with pollo. It's filing and satisfying but a bit too salty. Free refills on fountain drinks. Plenty of parking across the street in the public parking lot underneath the freeway overpass. Limited parking behind the restaurant. Enjoy your visit!

First time eating at their restaurant! We use to go to their truck. I would say I was impressed by the spaciousness of the restaurant, parking was a breeze at 2pm Saturday in their lot. Love their street tacos! Tasty, reasonably priced, generously filled. Al Pastor Mulita was oilier than I would prefer however super tasty! Al Pastor is always fattier. Carne Asada, Al Pastor, Lengua all hits! Pina agua Fresca was refreshing. Cucumbers are bomb at the salsa bar. Fast service. Cool art work, spacious location. Definitely coming back. In fact, my son is already asking when we're coming back! I can't wait to try their Dubai chocolate cups, and shaved ice.

Keto Quesadilla was interesting looking but DELICIOUS!!

One word for this restaurant, WOW! Everything about this place screams fun, creative and unique and this had nothing to do with the food. The murals, colors, sounds and atmosphere definitely do a number on your senses. These is so much to see and this place is HUGE! Now for the food, can you say DELICIOUS!??? The entire menu with the exception of breakfast items which were recently introduced on the clearly listed menu boards behind the front counter. Items such as Keto tacos and burritos, regular tacos, quesadillas and do much more. All of the cooks came to work here after the Pantry in DTLA closed down for good so the food is EXCELLENT!! This place was so crowded with many customers, LA County Firefighters and a couple of LA County Deputies. This is definitely a HOT place to visit and my family and I plan to visit again very soon

Stopped at this place because my husband and I found out that the chefs were previously employed by the Original Pantry restaurant (Los Angeles) that closed back in March of 2025. I ordered queso tacos with tripas. They are also known as chitterlings, and small intestines. I have to begin with the texture, which was spot on. When I ordered them, I requested them to be extra crispy. Let me tell you, they were perfect. They were slightly hard, and dry with a satisfying crunch. The firm brittle texture just made them ideal. I will definitely order these tacos again. They also had a salsa bar with a variety of chili, and cucumbers. Another plus in my opinion. The place was very clean and EVERY employee I made contact with was extremely nice and professional. This was a great first impression. 10 out of 10 for me.

If you're looking for a spot that blends warm hospitality, a cool vibe, and great food, look no further than East Los Tacos. We came for Sunday brunch and weren't disappointed. The staff were friendly and attentive that set the tone for a great dinning experience. Now let's talk about the heart and soul of East Los Tacos, the food. Each dish we ordered was so good, flavorful, and they give big portions the are reasonable priced. In conclusion, East Los Tacos was succeeded our expectations, it definitely a chef driven destination and we'll definitely be back and tell family and friends.

In response to the owner, Erika's comment on my post. You are doing a phenomenal job. Our hat goes off to you for taking the cooks in. That was not only a kind gesture, but a genius business move. We support your restaurant 100% and your employees. It only will perfect all the more. over time. Cheers to much more success! We used to drive by this place all the time and it was always empty. With the great idea the owner had of hiring the cooks from the Old Pantry of DTLA and calling it the East Los Pantry, they have definitely filled the place with customers for breakfast. The place is clean. Service is decent. You walk in and order and they call your number to come pick up your food at the counter. Ok I guess. What I hated was the plastic utensils. Bad choice! Sure less dish washing. But terrible for a sit down meal in the restaurant. Disliked that terribly. The food, it's ok. Salsas had good flavor. It simply just your basic breakfast and looks like the Pantry, but definitely not the Pantry. Something was missing. ‍ Would we be back.. maybe.

Keto tacos - lengua, asado, pastor. WOW-- that brown cheesy crust. 4.24.25

Los Angeles, CA. From what was a taco truck now has a b&m location. Two major surprises, Surprise #1. Aside from the fact that their tacos are famously delicious and authentic, their keto tacos and keto quesadillas are the best I've had--- amber brown colored nicely chewy cheese crust that is dahvine and sooo delicious. Soo delicious. And im NOT EVEN keto. Surprise #2. The workers at the now closed, after 101 years, Original Pantry in downtown El-Lay are working here!!! So you guessed it, the full Original Pantry breakfast menu lives strong here!!! Soul Food Mexican and OG American breakfast together, you'd think would not work but this large resto now holds lots of clients that eat both with gusto. Bam!! Come visit and get awed! Love "East Los Pantry" and East Los Tacos. End of Yelp.

East Los Tacos becomes East Los Pantry in the mornings . We came here specifically today because of the NBC video that mentioned today's proceeds are going towards their newest employees who were formally at The Pantry. Truly a great cause and also goes to show Erika the owner cares for the community. Baller move too because everyone can enjoy breakfast. We got there at 1030 and waited about 20 minutes to order. The food took longer than expected but it was truly busy so we didn't mind. Food was really good! We got the breakfast sampler and French toast plate. Their fresh squeezed OJ is bombbbb and I def would come back just for that. Everyone working there is super nice so be patient food takes awhile but it's worth it.

My friend took me here during lunch and it was so good. Like my mouth is still watering, good. The service was good, the girls were nice not over the top. The restaurant was clean, and all the tables were spaced out nicely. I didn't feel crowded. It was very modern and comfortable. A great place to hang out with family and friends. My food! I got a burrito bowl with Al Pastor. The food was excellent. The bowl was eaten there. The food I got togo was 2 asada quesadillas, 4 asada tacos and 2 cabeza tacos. It came out to under $45. My regret was I didn't get the strawberry milk. I'm coming back especially for that. Oh the salsas. There was a avocado salsa that what absolutely delicious! I can literally drink it! My friend let me try her East Los Taco and that is made with a hand pressed corn tortilla. That was yummy as well! Overall worth the hype.

Ordered the handmade corn tortillas soft tacos...al pastor and asada, both were generous portions of meat. Tender, flavorful. 5/5 My companion ordered the cabeza. She said it was good. Next time she wanted to try the lengua. She likes offal meats. To me, it looked grey and chunky, but she was definitely into it. Big thumbs up to the pina ( pineapple) agua frescos. Delicous and refreshing. 5/5 There's a salsa bar but we weren't told about it. 0/5 Not told when we ordered, not told when we came to the counter to pickup our food. Alas, the service wasn't all that friendly or welcoming, but they were patient as we tried to figure out how to order. 3/5 On the way to the restroom, at the end of our lunch, I saw the salsa bar... the onions, salsas, the other toppings. Oh well, doh!! Next time, we'll know to build the taco once receiving the base. It's a huge open restaurant. Modern, inviting, spacious. I liked the paintings and murals. The overhead tvs. Ambience 5/5. Public parking is across the street. Ample free parking just underneath the freeway ramp. Big plus, no one rushed us out. We ended up having a four-hour lunch. Great place for meetups and working lunches on weekdays. Eager to come back and try the burritos Also large menu of keto items!! 5/5

The owners are always welcoming, friendly, and genuinely make every customer feel at home. Their customer service is exceptional and one of the main reasons my family and I keep coming back. The food is amazing! Their chicharrón burrito is the best I've had, and the chilaquiles are always fresh, flavorful, and satisfying. Their coffee is just as impressive--they roast their own beans, make their own café de olla syrup, and you can even buy their coffee beans to enjoy at home. Every cup tastes fresh, rich, and authentic. I also love the atmosphere. The artwork throughout the shop is beautiful and gives the space so much personality. It's the kind of place where you want to sit, relax, and enjoy your coffee. Another thing I appreciate is that their prices are more affordable than many other coffee shops, especially considering the quality of the food, coffee, and service. My kids absolutely love coming here, and it's become one of our favorite family spots. If you're in Boyle Heights and looking for incredible coffee, delicious food, beautiful local art, fair prices, and some of the kindest people you'll ever meet, Picaresca is a must-visit. As for the coffee, if you like a pick me up... and a coffee that isn't sweet but strong. I suggest a refresher drink (tonics).
