I've passed by many times and was so surprised to see all the amazing reviews on Yelp. I of course had to try it. Especially since I've been craving breakfast burritos. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The menu is simple yet customizable. I got the bacon breakfast burrito with no bacon but you can also sub for sausage or add stuff etc.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]BF got the sausage burrito and the sausage pieces were big which is good.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Our favorite things about the burritos were the soft scrambled eggs and the potatoes. The potatoes were smashed yet crispy. Absolutely delicious.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They make every burrito to order so it took about 10 mins to get our food which is pretty fast. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We saw them cook everything fresh and even make the guacamole fresh to order.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Theres only three of them and they work well. No one seemed stressed or rushed. Even though its an outside street vendor you can tell that the ambience and good food is what keep people coming back. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We paid $28 for two burritos which is a good price. The portion are big and we were full after.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Thank you LA BREAKFAST BURRITOS. See you soon!

So yummy![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Loved the quesadilla, I added a second meat for $3.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Had veggies and no potatoes.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Burrito was huge and this was with light potatoes.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Everything was quite flavorful.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Love their secret sauce.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Take cash or Zelle. 256 S. Had a really bad experience today, this is not a good way to run a business! We wanted to support a local business but need to warn others about it now. I called in a phone order at 8:00 for 2 burritos, waited a bit and arrived at 8:15, our burritos weren't ready or cooked. There were 3 people waiting when I arrived so they made their burritos first, then ours finished at 8:25, why call in an order if they are not going to start it until you arrive? Next I was overcharged 3 times!!!!!! In California is it illegal to charge merchant fees. There is no sign posted stating additional charges. 1. On the receipt it shows a processing fee $.87 for the burrito 2. There is an additional charge of $1 for credit fees 3. The girl added an additional tip $4.80 I did not enter When I tapped my card on the phone it does not show the total amount being charged so I was unaware until AFTER I received the email receipt. There was no option for ME to enter a tip so the merchant had to manually add that. Also I didn't sign to approve the purchase. They are maliciously overcharging everyone, do not accept these additional charges!!!!

Amazing service every time I go. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The breakfast burritos & quesadillas taste wonderful.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]From crispy bacon to beautifully golden crisp potatoes , down to the savory spicy sauce that makes the food perfection.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]With every bite you get sensational flavors of pico , guac, scrambled eggs with cheese.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]One of the best breakfast burritos I've ever had.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The atmosphere is great as well , nice shaded area so you're not completely in the sun while you wait for your order. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Thank you for your hard work & dedication you put into your food.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Bacon and egg breast burrito with pico, grilled peppers and onions with sour cream.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Best breakfast burrito I've ever had.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The service was great as well. Too bad they don't have any locations in San Diego but if I return back to visit L.A I will have to make a mandatory stop to grab some.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]One of the better breakfast burritos I've had in LA. The taste is solid and the portion size is decent.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The price is...fine, about what I expect for LA, but I'd like the burrito to be just a little bigger to justify it. That being said, it's not unreasonable for the quality.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The main drawbacks are the setup and wait. The stand is outdoors in a parking lot with very little shade, so it can get hot while waiting for your order. Wait times can be a bit long even with a few orders ahead of you, and the hours are limited which makes it tricky to catch them if you like sleeping in on the weekends. But if you can work around the wait and timing, it's worth adding to your breakfast burrito list.

Was mad hungry after picking up my Black Friday haul, and found this joint nearby. I parked in the liquor store parking lot, and quickly got my order in. The person taking my order was super friendly and made sure to highlight the menu offerings. I appreciate the menu being limited to six offerings. They have a seating area within the tented area while you wait for your order, which is a nice touch. The breakfast burritos have a twist in that they put in beans; however I was willing to go out of my comfort zone, and I ordered the bacon burrito. I really like that they put in rosemary in the eggs, which was a good touch. Overall, I respect the food and the hustle, but it still left something to be desired.

Absolutely amazing. Hands down the best breakfast burritos ever. I wish I would've found this place earlier. We always order on the phone for pickup and it's always ready by the time we get there. Definitely recommend!

Been meaning to try this spot for awhile, and today was the day I broke my diet Sitting right next to Alta Dena Dairy parking lot on left side, drove straight and parked to the right. Ordered their sausage burrito which had pork sausage, potato, cheese, egg, secret sauce and added bacon! Thanks Chris :) Sausage burrito was delicious! Been craving for sausage and this definitely hit the spot. Was made fresh and also came with some green avocado sauce? Not sure but it def had some spice to it! Consistency in burrito with all the ingredients all made sense. Outdoor setting so weather was humid and warm. Wait time was about 20 minutes so don't be in a rush for some quality burrito. This didn't disappoint, will come back for another menu off their item. Chris was super friendly and even had a quick small conversation. Staff were focused and busy, but definitely seemed friendly. Thanks for cooking for us, definitely enjoyed it! Prices + Ratings: Sausage burrito $12 + $3 bacon P.S. bring that cash money Must try!

I loved the avocado and hash brown combination, and the salsa that came with it paired really well, a little kick with it. The portion size was great and definitely filled me up. The service was fast, but seating is pretty limited since it's mainly outdoors. Parking can be a little rough because it's street parking only, and it was pretty full when I came on a Saturday morning. I would definitely come back. I also saw that they make coffee and matcha drinks, and they all looked really good, so I'd definitely come back to try that next time!

[Parking]: Free small public parking lot directly across from the shop. [Amenities]: This is a really small coffee shop with no indoor tables and only two small outdoor tables. No restroom is available. [Menu]: Yelp's top highlighted items are the Breakfast Burrito, Teddy Bear (double espresso, agave, housemade vanilla cold foam, Teddy Grahams), and Banana Nut. All drinks are made with oat milk. Please note that the kitchen closes at 1 PM on Monday - Tuesday and 2 PM on Wednesday- Sunday even though the cafe remains open for another 1 - 2 hours. Come early for anyone wanting to try kitchen items like breakfast burrito or breakfast sandwich. *** Banana nut (double espresso, house made vanilla cold foam, house made banana syrup - medium $7.50): It came with two banana chips. The cold foam was quite underrated and I could taste a hint of banana flavor. The drink wasn't as sweet as I had expected - I liked it. Breakfast burrito (Refried beans, soyrizo, tofu scramble, crispy hashbrowns and sliced avocado wrapped in a flour tortilla - $13.50): Portion wasn't huge, but it also wasn't small enough to finish in one sitting. It had one of the softest texture for breakfast burritos. The soyrizo was very flavorful. It also came with a side of salsa - quite spicy but flavorful at the same time. *** I probably still prefer meat-based breakfast burritos, but their soyrizo breakfast burrito is quite good and the coffee drink is excellent (4.5-star for both items). I would definitely recommend this small coffee shop for a quick grab-and-go.

The green sauce has a significant tang to it so the two really balanced each other out. Next time I'll definitely add a protein as well, but this bowl of chilaquiles was delicious! I also had a Jamaica lemonade which was great, it had a nice kick/tang to it. They make everything in house - the chips, their meats, everything. They have a solid, limited menu, and I can't wait to try other items. It's a small restaurant but they make you feel like you're home. The gentlemen at Tenampal are so welcoming, they give so much attention to each customer, they really take care of you. They constantly check in on you to make sure you're happy without being overbearing. As far as service goes, this experience was within the top 3 experiences I've had at a restaurant in my entire life just in terms of how welcoming they were. I was very lucky to grab a seat here on Sunday - I've heard usually it's pretty busy to get in here but since I went during a World Cup game, I was able to be seated right away. The only thing - parking was pretty difficult, ngl. You gotta luck out finding street parking or go into the residential areas to park. But it's worth it!

Parking is street-only, but trust me, it's worth the hunt. From the moment we walked in, it felt like the entire kitchen welcomed us. The energy was warm and inviting, and both servers we interacted with were incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and happy to guide us through the menu. To drink, I ordered the limonada and my boyfriend got the jamaica, both refreshing and the perfect start to the meal. We kicked things off with the beans and chorizo topped with salsa macha, and wow. Absolutely incredible. The fresh-made chips sprinkled with cotija cheese were so good that we could barely stop eating them long enough to order the rest of our food. I went with the huevos rancheros in green sauce. The sauce can lean a little sweet, so I asked for it extra spicy and it was exactly what I was hoping for. My boyfriend ordered the green enchiladas with suadero, which our server told us had been made fresh that morning. The quality and care put into every dish really came through. Everything tasted fresh, thoughtful, and made from scratch. Not a single dish disappointed. Between the food, the hospitality, and the attention to detail, Tenampal easily earned a spot on my list of favorite neighborhood finds. I'll definitely be back.

The staff were incredibly friendly, and the Luxurious George was prepared surprisingly quickly despite the matcha being hand-whisked to order. We also ordered their seasonal Vietnamese Coconut Latte, which was visually stunning, though I didn't get the chance to try it myself. **Luxurious George: 4/5** The Luxurious George, a banana jasmine matcha latte, was smooth and not overly sweet, allowing the flavors to remain light and refreshing. Fragrant jasmine took center stage, offering a beautiful floral aroma and delicate tea notes that paired nicely with the earthy matcha. The milk, however, overshadowed the matcha and made the drink taste a bit milkier than I had anticipated. While the banana was a unique addition, its flavor remained very subtle and was difficult to distinguish, leaving the jasmine as the dominant flavor profile. Despite not quite meeting all of my expectations, Leaflet Coffee left a great impression with its inviting ambiance and creative drink offerings. With such a unique menu, I'm excited to come back and discover more of what they have to offer.
