Last week I went to East Main Drive In and I am not sure if this happened to you or if you are aware, but I ordered 2 basket combos and 4 burritos and a milk shake and the order was about $48 dollars and some change i was getting ready to pay with my debit and he said the total was $53!! I asked him how much was he charging me to use the debit card and he said well it depends how much food you order is how much we charge you to use the debit card??" I have never heard of such a fee.....he was charging me $5 dollars because my order was big??? I am sorry guys but I cancelled my order I am not going to pay $5 extra because I ordered a big order. Call me cheap, usually it is a standard $1.00 charge I am ok with that but he couldnt give me an answer he said it changes everytime depending on the size of your order! Order what I thought was a simple order, 3 hamburgers 1 cheeseburger and 2 fries. When I got home I was missing a burger. I called to tell them I was short a burger, someone answered the phone said they stop taking orders after 7:30pm and hung up. After the fourth time calling I was able to tell them I was missing an item. They told me to check the bag it was under the fries(they weren't).They asked me to take all the food back to check the order for me. At this point the food was already being eaten, I wasn't going to take away food that people were eating just to prove I was missing a burger. East main you owe me a burger or $6. I have been coming to this place for over 40 years. I do love the "secret sauce" and the crinkle cut fries. When I call they leave you on hold For a really long time to place a pick up order. I always get the chicken strips basket and this last visit I noticed the chicken strips have changed. They are very bready with hardly any chicken. I did not like them. Reminded me fair food. They used to have the best chicken strips around. Not anymore. I still enjoy the milkshakes and fries so I'll leave it a 3 star. Don't blink or you'll miss it! Looks like their sign may have been broken or stolen (?!), so the only way we found them was with GPS. Old drive-in type restaurant in the downtown area. We ordered at the window and ate at one of the outdoor tables there. The hubby had a cheeseburger and I had the Texas burger combo. The fries with my combo were plentiful and enough for both of us. Crinkle cut style, yum! Our burgers were good and the hubby enjoyed his chocolate shake. We had an early dinner and felt comfortable sitting there while it was still light out, but I wouldn't be hanging out there after dark. The girl who helped us was super nice and upbeat. This place has an old drive in vibe. Service is fast, friendly, and they wear their masks. They enforce wearing masks to order. I got a Texas BBQ Bacon Burger and a steak sandwich. The Texas BBQ Bacon Burger was pretty good but there wasn't any BBQ sauce (which I was fine with honestly), and the fries were great. The steak sandwich was really dry and not great for the price, kinda resembled a torta, but a taco truck does it better. They gave us extra napkins and ketchup with a lot of fries. I was looking this place up on Yelp before visiting, and it's a lot better than most of the reviews have to say. But also be aware that after COVID the prices on the pictures of the menu are no longer the same. The prices have been raised, which is understandable but the menu & prices need to be updated. read more

I love this Drive-in Hamburger stand. Their burger baskets are very good, but I love their greasy fried taco's. Whenever I'm on the East side of town I try to stop by there. The outside is always clean and tidy, which makes it even more inviting. I only gave it a 4 star rating because most times the staff don't seem friendly. Horrible customer service! I have been coming here since I was a kid and never got treated the way I did with these people that are there now, they totally messed up my whole order so when I called to let them know, the girl says oh I'm sorry do u wanna come back, I said yes so I went back and when I got there they refused to correct my order, then told me I had to bring all the food back after not telling me to do that in the first place, then also said oh I gotta call the owner to approve it after I went back home to get them all their food back!! WOW!! they seriously need to sell this place back to the Asians that had respect for their customers!! I will never be back and that's a shame! I order a cheeseburger basket I'm very basic and my hubby got inferno wings and fries we both "killed" our food wings were "meaty" my burger was simple yet extremely good ...I finished my burger in 5 bites lol. Patty taste good unlike reviews of other ppl says. I am very full and happy thanks ... and customer service was nice he even recommended us to try inferno wings ... hubby happy. You can't judge a book by its cover and you shouldn't judge a burger place by it's faded paint. East Main Drive In offers pretty good and pretty large burgers for a decent price. I asked the employee what she liked and she recommended the Texas Bacon Cheese Burger. This burger had two patties, cheese, barbecue sauce and onion rings. I ordered French fries on the side and the portion was surprisingly generous. This is a Drive In restaurant and doesn't have ambiance but who cares? They got plenty of options to choose from and the prices aren't too bad so it's a good place to bring the family or grab them takeout! I have no complaints about the service. Pretty good burgers. This place reminded me of Giant Burgers. I got a Texas western burger (didn't realize it was a double patty) My kid and hubby got cheeseburgers and they enjoyed them a lot. So I was in the area at a training. One of the employees recommended this place. Based on the yelp reviews, the prices were super cheap. I bet the prices were not going to be cheap since the pictures were posted four years ago. A buddy and I went here. I saw they had fish n chips and the cashier recommended this plate. This place has all the typical fried foods which we all crave for. I went with the fish n chips. Soon I will regret this decision. The food came decently quick. It was time to eat. The fish sucked!!!! No flavor, the fish fell apart, it just down right sucked. Plus two pieces of about four to five inch fish fillets. The fries on the other hand were good. Crinkle cut. This place got two stars because of the fries. If it wasn't for the fries, this would have been a one star review. I will try this place again but with a burger and fries.
