Just had lunch here for the first time today. It was excellent. It's a pleasant change from the normal routine lunch.

My husband and I just had the most delicious breakfast. He got the eggs benedict and I got the eggs benedict florentine special. Both were equally delicious and my husband said the homefries were some of the best he's ever had. I'll second Wendy in saying that the owners were very gracious and take pride in their food. It really shows. Love that you can take your dog to sit out on the patio. The atmosphere is nothing special, but clean and quaint and the prices are very reasonable. Great place. Nice atmosphere. A good place to go to get away from the tourists. Our server let us substitute fruit for the hash browns. We both had the vegetable omelet and it was delicious. Nice romantic breakfast location. Nice and quiet for my husband, who has an ear condition. I have had lunch and dinner there as well. Breakfast food is as good as it gets. For me, it would be perfect if they offered GMO free home fries and fries; and GMO free grits. Those of us born in Florida prefer grits. And I would love to see free range eggs and fresh organic half and half for an up-charge. Had breakfast there this morning and thoroughly enjoyed the food .the owner is outstanding and a very nice business woman. she appreciates every customer that walks through her doors. She lets you know she appreciates your patronage by the way she welcomes you and goes the extra mile .every customer Is treated the same no matter your background. food is good, Waitresses are friendly. We took a friend here today for breakfast who was visiting from out of town and immediately regretted it. The atmosphere was unwelcoming and the food not good. We were offered a choice of quiche which sounded delicious - mushroom, spinach and Swiss. When the quiche arrived there were no mushrooms and it was luke warm. When we asked the server about the mushrooms the, what I think was the manager, told us they are out of that quiche and asked if we would like sautéed mushrooms on top. We said that would be fine and she took our plates. Less than 5 minutes passed and she brought back our same plate with now cold quiche and a few canned mushrooms on top. I don't think we'll be going back to give this place a second try. read more

Small restaurant, great little find. The food was great! We ate under the tiki umbrellas outside. Even though the tables are on the sidewalk, they have added tons of potted flowers and plants to cheer up the area. Super friendly owner and waitstaff who were chatty and very personable. Great breakfast choices, all four of us got something different. Large portions of very tasty food. We all enjoyed our choices, but none of us could finish. Excellent food, great service. read more

Cute little hole in the wall. We are a family of 5 and it was a little cramped but that's not the restaurants fault! The breakfast was huge! Tons of meat, both bacon and sausage had 4-5 pieces each. Service was small town friendly but not very fast. We will be back! read more

We are from New York and so we know good food this place is like one of the outside cafes down in the city. The food is great just like back home. The service is awesome. The owner came out and greeted us we had a great conversation. The pumpkin pancakes were awesome the eggs benedict are amazing. You can sit outside bring your pets they bring water out to the dogs and are kind and loving to them. I can't think of any other place I would love to go back to for breakfast or lunch read more

Great place. You can get Breakfast or lunch any time. Fresh vegetables and the fruit cups are outstanding. Pancake was rubbery. Batter had to be old and overly mixed. Although it had lots of blueberries it was tasteless. Quiche was burnt on bottom and appeared to be prepared days ago and reheated improperly. Coffee was strong but not bitter. Location is nice with easy parking along RR tracks. East Ocean Cafe is a little oasis of relaxation and great food in the heart of (slowly) resurging downtown Boynton Beach. Breakfasts and lunches, which range from simple to fancy, are always delicious, and the prices are very reasonable. Service is great, and the staff are very friendly. Cindy, the owner, has recently added fixed priced dinners served on Friday and Saturday nights. Though there are only four or five entrees offered for dinner, I believe the choices would satisfy most palates. My wife and I prefer to sit outside, under the pretty (faux) palm thatch umbrellas, surrounded by potted plants. We've come to know some of the other "regulars," who, like us, want to support great neighborhood eateries like East Ocean Cafe. read more

The coffee was not good, but besides that, everything was great. I got a lox platter that was pretty superb- it later inspired me go get my own bagels and salmon! Absolutely one of the best omelette's I've ever had. They did not skimp on anything including the cheese. The home fries were cooked to perfection. My Aunt had a grilled cheese and tomato sandwich which she said was excellent and my Uncle had the Monty Christo Sandwich which he loved too! You are going to want to go on a day you can sit outside because inside was not appealing to me. They don't take reservations and you will want to get a table close to the building if you are going around noonish. These tables are in the shade and there are not many. It was a bit muggy out when we were there and our table was in the sun even with the umbrella. When a table opened up in the shade we moved and then our brunch was perfect! The people working there are very friendly, when we walked in we noticed the place was a bit overly decorated and a bit dirty. I ordered an orange juice which cost 3 dollars for a large. She handed me an extra small glass that you would give a child. I was scared to ask for a small...it was actually smaller than the coffee mug. And then when I look into the kitchen I see the container or tang just hanging out in there(lovely by the way) when we got our food which was pretty quick our pancakes were excellent but the "home fries" were swimming in butter, oddly red in color along with a pound of onions and zero taste. The main thing that ticked me off was the extra small glass of freaking tang that I got. Needless to say we aren't going back. read more
