a pizza and soda on a table

East Peak Lodge is where I have visited for lunch so many times at Heavenly. There's always a group meeting at this lodge and the food is annoyingly priced resort food, but always good. I had a pizza this time. Also, 2 gatorades..chili or wings..etc. Indoor seating and outdoor seating. Good place to hang out and take breaks.

My friend and I were getting hungry from snowboarding, so we decided to take a lunch break here since it was our only option on this part of the mountain LOL. I didn't realize that this eatery is part of a lodge haha. There is no cell reception in this area, so we couldn't contact our other friend. We already planned to meet somewhere for lunch around this time, but that didn't work out haha. There was a long line in the outdoor section, which is where you can get hamburgers, hot dogs, and barbeque items, but it was so expensive! We decided to check out what else they had inside. Towards the back, there was an area where you can order salads and sandwiches. I ended up getting the sandwich/soup combo with the signature tri-tip sandwich and clam chowder. After you get your items, you go to the register to pay. There was no seating inside even though there was a lot of space, so we had to sit outside in the cold. My soup and salad were okay, nothing special. On our way out, our friend finally found us! I tried his fries, which weren't bad. We felt sluggish after lunch, so we relaxed here for a bit. I recommend having a plan to meet your friends when you're out snowboarding/skiing in case you get lost because there is no cell reception!

Oops! I ate my sandwich a little too quickly.

Today is a day for some "Heavenly Food!" ;) And by heavenly... Well, you know what I mean! I dine with Sloppy Jim, Shanita Sausage, and Mike Is-a-hotdog-a-sandwich. Let me tell you, the weather is heavenly - a balmy 55 degrees Fahrenheit. Like kings and queens of the mountain, we sit outside with our food before us. I spit on my food before eating to prove my nobility. "Upon walking in, I was saddened that they didn't have my namesake sandwich. Instead, I settled for the next sloppiest thing on the menu," Sloppy Jim grins between sloppy bites of sloppy hot chicken wings. "It was good." And what of her French fries? "Very happy... With the fries... Crunchy... To the core." She deliberates for a moment. "Perfect crunchy." I have the turkey and bacon sandwich. Have you ever had it? Well, it is two pieces of bread surrounding turkey, bacon, lettuce and cucumbers. The ingredients taste so fresh - I'm sure they are grown in the Heavenly garden! If I had larger pockets, I would fill them with sandwiches. Mike Is-a-hotdog-a-sandwich feasts on his lunch of walnuts and blueberries. (dear readers, I'm not making this up. He comes from a long line of philosophical foodies). "The trick is, you got to mix up the trail mix. You gotta mix up the berries." "It's strange because you get the crunch of the walnut, but the burst of the berry," he says with blueberry juice gushing out his orifices. "It's like a commercial for 5 gum!" Shanita Sausage has also ordered the hot wings. "They're alright," she offers limply. "They're mediocre. They could be hotter." Between bites of chilling chicken, she takes a positive beat. "They are very meaty." The more you know: people put ice in urinals because body temperature per would disrupt freezing cold pipes. Wow! Happy lunch time everyone! Thank you, Beast Leak Dodge!

The bartenders at this bar are really cool! They also have the mug club at this bar which makes it a hangout spot for skiiers/snowboarders who frequent the mountain which gives it a slight "locals/everyone knows eachother" vibe that I enjoy. It's definitely a great spot to take a break when on this side of the mountain. I ordered a bloody mary which was delicious. The only downside is the prices- which are expected to be more expensive at a ski resort bar, but still $15 for a bloody mary (before tip) is pretty pricy. I still always stop to order one when I'm over here.

The bar staff is great, but the patrons are a bunch of degenerate ski bums.

Overpriced junk food at 6000 feet, $40+ for 2 soups and 2 waters but felt good after your legs and brain get numb while skiing

However, when I placed my order, I told them I was allergic to Centro to please do not add. They told me they could not accommodate because everything was already pre-mixed.. I was highly upset looking so forward to the shrimp cocktail. I asked the server there was no shrimp in the entire restaurant to add to a shrimp cocktail and you could not accommodate to someone who was all allergic to cilantro and they said no. My husband went to ask for the manager and I have to say Jose the manager and the chef were extremely accommodating and redeemed themselves 150%. He offered me a shrimp cocktail with no cilantro and made it especially delicious. Thank you Jose and Cantarito for making my lunch more enjoyable. And going the extra mile to accommodate your customer I will definitely be coming back. I must say there are not many restaurant establishments that will redeem themselves

When we got to the front, the hostess mentioned that there were no tables available inside since they were reserved ahead of time for the game. We then asked if she could check if there was a space for 3 inside, she ended up seating us at a booth. Our waiter was Anthony, seemed like a nice guy. He mentioned he was new so please excuse him & apologized ahead of time. We order the platter & coctel de camaron. Platter was good... coctel de camaron, definitely not good! It was missing all the possible flavor to the juice. It tasted like water with shrimp in it. It also had little to no veggies. Wait, going back, when I was asking Anthony what veggies were in the coctel, he kindly responded I'm not sure then just stood there, I asked him if he could ask the cooks. Okay now back to the coctel, I did ask Anthony if he could bring me a side of clamato as the coctel had absolutelyyyy no flavor. I asked for ketchup & he came back & said sorry we're out of ketchup, I couldn't find any. So I asked to speak to a manager. Manager comes over & I share if I could have the coctel removed & also off my check bc so & so. He takes the coctel & less than a minute later comes back with the coctel & a ketchup bottle. I then prepped my coctel with limon, tapatio, ketchup, & a side of some extra veggies. The coctel was still not hitting. I also ordered a virgin mojito which was good. We stayed to have dinner & watch half of the game as we had to leave at halftime bc I felt like I had to throw up. I got an upset stomach after eating the coctel y eso that I didn't even eat it all. This place is nicely decorated though I think it lacks customer service as it tried to serve more than they could handle.

Whether you want to stay busy or just kick back and watch a game, they've got you covered. There's a fun mini golf course with obstacle-style holes, cornhole, other interactive games, tons of big-screen TVs showing sports, plenty of high-top tables, a long bar, and even outdoor seating. We decided to grab a couple seats at the bar. We were first greeted by Kelly, who was incredibly friendly, had a great smile, and genuinely seemed happy to take care of us. Then Ben took over, and he was awesome. Super personable, easy to joke around with, and the kind of bartender who keeps interacting with guests even when he's busy. The staff alone is a reason we'd come back. Trivia isn't usually my thing, but we decided to join in anyway. It's free, energetic, and a lot of fun. There were probably around 25 teams playing, and Tom did a great job keeping the energy up all night. The questions start out pretty easy to build your confidence, then get progressively tougher. It ended up being a great time and the perfect way to spend our first night in Tahoe.
