a half eaten sandwich on a paper plate

Came here for an early lunch while skiing! We ordered the brisket grilled cheese! I enjoyed it. The outdoor seating is nice on a warmer day but not great if it's very cold. Workers were friendly while ordering. The sandwich was pretty filling and had a decent amount of brisket on it. The sandwich was a little burnt in a couple areas but still very tasty and hit the spot. The sandwich was ~$11 with the epic pass.

From what I could see, it was all outdoor dining, but the weather was good enough that I didn't mind it at all. Weirdly though, I felt like the food here was better than down in the lodge at the bottom, but that might just be because of the nice views and being up in the mountain. I had a grilled cheese with brisket and tomato soup, and it was much more filling than I expected. It was, of course, overpriced, but what isn't? Anyway, it's not my top choice of restaurant but considering it's on the mountain and there are decent views, we could do a lot worse. I imagine I'll be eating here again on my next trip to Heavenly!

Do NOT order the Cesar salad. It was $15.50 and 5 slivers of lettuce. The chili was good (also $15.50) and while advertised with corn bread it came with oyster crackers

The only downfall to this spot is the price. EVERYTHING IS SO EXPENSIVE!! I understand you are taking everything up the hill to provide on mountain service but wow. I ordered a Bailey's coffee and paid almost $12! $12 for some coffee and a shot of Bailey's (a smallish coffee at that rate!). You are paying for convenience I understand but there has to be a healthier balance between cost and convenience. I will not stop here in the future - once taught me my lesson!

Decent pulled pork sandwiches, convenient location next to the Sky Express and lots of sun. But otherwise it's a relatively overpriced BBQ bar on top of the mountain. Not that you'd have much choice. It was quite tasty sandwich anyway.

They gave us two family style options for our big party that were inclusive to all eating preferences. We had 20 adults and 9 kids and everyone found something. The staff asked about allergies and were able to accommodate. The food was great! Everything was seasoned awesome, highlights was the cheesy spetzel, schnitzel, the salad and the strudel. The only thing everyone found a little salty/ peppery was the original Speatzel. Again, Tyler was an awesome server that was attentive to everyone. We are ready to book for next years reunion.

We started with the extra-large pretzel, and it was perfectly baked , warm on the inside with just the right amount of chew. It came with a rich, cheesy dip and a savory meat topping that made it even better. A great appetizer to share. All of the entrées looked delicious and came in very generous portions. In fact, we had plenty of leftovers to enjoy later that evening as a late-night snack -- always a win. If you're craving hearty German comfort food in a relaxed, mountain-lodge atmosphere, this is definitely a spot worth checking out.

The space is spacious and clean. There is quite a bit of seating outside on the patio with some cute string lights. The menu offers smoked meats, sandwiches, and appetizers to share. They also offer a beer tap where you can try an array of beer and ciders. The food came out pretty fast on a Sunday night, about 8-10 minutes. Pulled pork grilled cheese with pepperjack- The pork is smokey and tender. The flavor is great on its own but if you wish for more bbq sauce, its pairs well with the spicy bbq. The pepperjack is melty and savory. The sourdough is toasted and holds up well. All in all, this was a delicious sandwich and would recommend. French fries - one word. Sensational. Crispy on the outside, potato-y interior. Pairs well with the BBQ sauce. You can upgrade your side of chili to fries for an extra cost which is worth it in my opinion. Cornbread- Awful, tasteless and incredibly dry. Skip it. Great service, fantastic BBQ sauces, and tasty meats are reasons to come back here. This is a great spot for big parties or if you have your furry friend with you.

We waited outside for about 5 min while waiting to be acknowledged by someone. Finally a staff came, asked how how many, and said "sit anywhere" and gave us our menus. No "here's your menu", no "someone will be with you shortly", no "enjoy". Inside is extremely loud due to the EDM music and loud chatter. The booth seats are too high for the table so it hits your legs. Due to the combination of the rude hostess, loud atmosphere, and ill fitting seating, I asked if we can could our order to go instead. Our server was really nice about it and I appreciated the accommodation. The food is really good. I was hoping for a sashimi salad however they did have a large variety of rolls. I think they would benefit greatly from having images of the rolls Godzilla, crispy rainbow hand roll, and bonsai roll were all excellent. The seaweed salad is very slimy so I didn't finish it I would return for take out, but not dine in.

Off of Route 50 in South Lake Tahoe -- A short hop from Heavenly Village - this is a place I have seen before but never stopped. Quickly seated and served by really kind and attentive staff - we enjoy some sake sashimi, gyoza, tempura vegetables and a roll or two. I had a glass of Chardonnay - everything was quick, delicious, and just right. I give top marks for quality and freshness, staff attentiveness and all around experience. I then called the restaurant to ask if it was possible for them to accommodate 1 more small order since I didn't want my friend to starve and be left out. The young lady on the phone wasn't aware that she wasn't on mute and said "These 5 girls should've placed one fu**ing order instead of multiple". But logically, wouldn't one big order still take the same time as 5 separate ones? I understand that the restaurant was busy. I work in the industry myself. But this behavior was UNACCEPTABLE. She even asked my friend if she could order something easy such as a side of rice. Ok so if i wanted one bowl of rice why the hell would I even place a togo order for that? Once we got our order, I talked to the manager and he was shocked at what had happened. Please hold your employees to a higher expectation because as a paying customer, I wanted a refund but it was too late to ask. To the young girl on the phone if you're reading this, make sure you're on mute next time if you're going to talk sh*t!
