My prior review gave this restaurant a 5 star. My current review is a 3 star. Why? A sharp increase in prices - OK, I have gotten use to that but it is accompanied by significantly smaller portions. OUCH! The yelp website shows two $$ signs for costs. That is old, very very old news. Today, I would show the cost of food as either $$$ 1/2 or $$$$. A small (very small) dinner salad at or near $10.00 and which contains maybe 2 lettuce leaves + a few cut vegetables is Pricey. What about the food? Sorry to report, not as good as before. Possibly, they have a new chef or having a bad night. The beef short ribs was a small portion, pricey, heavily covered in a brown gravy, over cooked and ordered and finished by an 11 year old girl who ordered from the adult menu. The child who is small and weighs 52 pounds ate lots of French fries and a root beer to fill up once the beef was finished. Ouch, again! Call liquor prices (Grey Goose) for martinis match up to the highest price restaurants in Denver. The ambience is still excellent as was service. If it wasn't for the later, I would have given it 2 stars. I hope they quickly get back to where they use to be because they really had a great formula of very good food, decent size portions, and reasonably fair prices for what you got within a beautiful setting.

I have reviewed this before. Enjoyed everything. Staff was good! Atmosphere was nice. Food was good. Had a rib eye! Nicely cooked with a nice flavor! Creamed spinach was good. Could have been cooked a little longer with less nutmeg. But good. The Panna cotta was perfect. Drinks were made nicely. Enjoyed!

This is a great place to eat in Louisville. I always consult Yelp when I am in a town I've never been to before. It led me to 740 Front and what a great recommendation it was. 740 Front is located in downtown Louisville and takes reservations online. It was once a general store (I think) and has been repurposed into a beautiful restaurant. I love repurposed buildings so this was a plus for me. Service was friendly, prompt, and altogether great. The food was equally great and for a higher end place in Colorado, it was pretty reasonable. I started my meal with a wedge salad. Their version was excellent. You'd think it would be an easy salad to make and you'd be wrong. Plenty of places get it wrong. Not this place. My entree was the prime ribeye with a side of sautéed mushrooms. The mushrooms were rich and garlicky and the steak was perfectly cooked and delicious. I couldn't have asked for a better experience. If you're in Louisville and want a good meal, 740 Front should be on your list.

Came to 740 front for my husbands birthday and everything was so delicious! The atmosphere is very romantic a little loud by the bar area as they play sports through their projector but overall an excellent place with delicious steaks. We ordered the bison ribeye and it was cooked to a perfect medium rare, the flavor was a little sweet as expected from a bison steak it also had an interesting Smokey flavor maybe it had to do with their special butter they put on their steaks, their mashed potatoes was an excellent combination to pair with. We also ordered the prime New York strip and again cooked to perfection, super tender and juicy. The service was overall fantastic, waitress would check up every once in a while and for the first time they actually asked if it was okay to bring the food since we were still eating out appetizer, that to us was a huge bonus! Definitely recommend to pass by for any special occasion or just a simple date night!

Came here for our 33rd anniversary. We were seated in the upstairs area, very intimate. They gifted us glasses of Prosecco, for the occasion. I had the blackened salmon, my wife had the bison filet. Both excellent! Our server Tyler was awesome! He was responsible for the whole upstairs section. Yet, we never felt neglected.

Came to this restaurant with my boyfriend for a date night. The atmosphere is lovely. I like the historic vibes in a quaint building. The decor is a mix of old and new and felt romantic. The food was good but not out of this world amazing. The Spinach and and Cheese dip is more like cheese with spinach and other veggies in it. Was good, but not at all what I was expecting. Plus, it wasn't very hot. I got the Manicotti and my boyfriend got the Meatloaf. Both were good but not the best we've ever had. The staff were all very friendly. Overall it was a great experience.

This was the perfect way to end my Colorado trip. This restaurant has a rich history, and you could really feel it in there! Beautifully decorated and restored - it truly felt like a 1920s saloon. There's even a bullet hole in the bar from the old days! Okay now, onto the food and drinks. No joke, these were some of the best cocktails we had ever tried (and we love a good cocktail). Each one was incredibly flavorful, unique and fresh. I wish I tried every single one!! I'll say my favorite was "that basil drink". Our bartender and server, Scott, was incredibly professional and answered all of our questions before we asked them! He made some great suggestions, we were glad we took his word! The food was outstanding. Prices were reasonable and they were able to accommodate gluten and dairy allergies. I highly recommend the crab cake appetizer - it's a whole meal! We tried the seafood cannelloni, artichokes, lambchops, and a steak. Their happy hour sounds incredible - I'll check it out next time!

If you're looking for a spot with a great bar vibe, solid drinks, and good food in Louisville,…read moreRocky Mountain Tap & Burger is a great option. The atmosphere is welcoming and cozy, the kind of place where anyone can walk in and feel comfortable. It works just as well for a casual hangout as it does for a night out with friends. The drinks are a highlight. Between the self-pour tap wall, infused liquors, and a well-balanced cocktail menu, there's a lot to choose from. Even the homemade Dr Pepper stood out. For food, the wings were a favorite. Crispy, well cooked, and paired with house-made sauces that really made a difference. The chocolate chip cookie sundae was also a standout and a great way to end the meal. One of the most impressive parts is their dedicated gluten free pizza kitchen. The in-house dough is well done and doesn't feel like a compromise, which is great if you're gluten free or dining with someone who is. Overall, it's a well-rounded spot that does a lot of things right.

There are tables and a bar, the place is well lit and clean. There are also tables for groups and an outdoor area which is great. I am not a beer drinker so I ordered wine. I got a pepperoni pizza so that I could take leftovers to my husband. I also was curious about the gluten free crust. The pizza was good - the pepperoni flavorful. It had a lot of cheese and I would have preferred a little less so that I could better taste the pepperoni and the crust. And the crust was also good. This is a great option for a place to gather with a group if there are gluten free eaters you need to accommodate for as there are many choices. The servers were friendly and due to it being a slow time of day, it took a bit for someone to get to us, but we weren't in a hurry so it was all good. I would definitely try this one again.

We walked in as a two top and got seated in the back room. At first I wasn't loving it since it's kind of cut off from the rest of the restaurant and the ambiance definitely takes a hit back there. But our server Tristen completely turned that around. Super knowledgeable, funny, kind, and quick. He also paid close attention to my girlfriend's allergies and made sure she could order without stressing, which I really appreciated. Food wise, everything hit. Classic steakhouse vibes in the best way. My ribeye was cooked perfectly and the mussels we started with were actually great, which you don't always expect out here in Colorado being landlocked. All in all, aside from the back room situation and the phone issue, this place delivered. Honestly feels like that space should be reserved for private events or opened up a bit. Huge shoutout to Tristen though, he alone bumped this from a solid 3 to a 4 for me.

Roasted Cauliflower - saffron cream / chermoula / sumac / miso aioli / crispy onion - the saffron cream was a nice touch of essence and the crispy onion brought a good sweetness and texture to the dish. Honey Bourbon Wings - fried chicken wings / honey bourbon glaze / dill pickles - this was FABULOUS, good fry, not burnt and the glaze was perfect, not ooey gooey sticky, just sticky to the touch. Wild Boar Bucatini - wild boar ragu / cured egg yolk / parmesan / chives - this was my dinner order. I'm always excited when there's bucatini on the menu. The drinks were definitely expensive, but we were happy to pay for a quality experience at an upscale restaurant. We ordered multiple appetizers, had several drinks, sat at the bar for quite a while, and honestly about to leave thinking this was a place we would probably come back to. That changed the second the bill arrived. Buried into the check was a 7% "kitchen surcharge." In other words, the restaurant decided to pass along kitchen payroll costs directly onto the customer without being upfront about it. If you're not paying close attention, you could easily end up tipping on top of that surcharge as well, essentially paying an extra hidden fee without realizing it. At a restaurant positioning itself as upscale and classy, this came across as incredibly tacky and cheap. Pay your staff properly and price your menu accordingly instead of sneaking surprise fees onto the bill at the very end. That's not hospitality. That's the kind of nickel and diming people expect from budget airlines, not a supposedly high end dining experience. It completely ruined what had otherwise been a nice night. We were seriously considering coming back before this happened. Now we won't return.

Walking in, I wouldn't think much of it. The menu is relatively simple with some appetizers, salads, hot dogs, sandwiches, and some other things. Where this place shines is their bacon, and by extension their sandwiches. Multiple people I've gone with have said the JGBLT is the best sandwich they've ever had. It's nothing complicated, but each part of the sandwich is so well done that the finished product is understated and overwhelming. So good. It's also the perfect portion, every time.
