Helping someone to get a car can be a real challenge. To make things even more challenging, we were looking for a specific car in a specific color with some specific options included as well. Easterns Automotive Group had the one we wanted and that's when I got in touch with Mike. Now I've been through the process of buying a few cars before and out of all the experiences I've had, Mike has done the most to make sure everything went smoothly and that we had an amazing experience. First, Mike made sure I was able to look over the Carfax and see if there was anything I might be concerned about. He didn't have to take the time to do this but he did. Then he made sure the car was thoroughly detailed for us as he knew this was going to be a special gift. When it came time to do the paperwork, things were a little more complicated because we were purchasing a vehicle out of state, but again, Mike was making sure we felt comfortable with everything and we never felt bad for asking questions if we had them. Finally, when it came time to ship the car, Mike was there making sure it got loaded ok and was safely on it's way. Now technically, Mike's job was done, but he wasn't done making sure our experience was the best. He was checking in to make sure the Jeep was delivered ok. Even though that wasn't his responsibility. He was genuinely excited to hear how my mom would react to seeing her Jeep and again, wanted to do everything he could to make sure she had a great experience. He even sent a card and called her to congratulate her! Mike went above and beyond because he not only helped make sure we were getting a beautiful Jeep for mom, but that she would get the kind of VIP experience that she would remember for the rest of her life. And that's not something you can necessarily pay for. It takes a special type of person who understands the value of relationships and that's what I came to see about Mike. He doesn't just treat you like a customer, he treats you like family. When buying a car from Mike, you feel like you're buying a car from a friend, someone who cares about you and is looking out for you. So thank you Mike! My mom will remember this experience for the rest of her life and we couldn't have done this without you. For anyone considering purchasing a vehicle, I would highly recommend giving Mike a call or stopping by and saying "hi!" Im absolutely confused after my experience the Hyattsville location. I was told To go in just to provide employment documents on 12/5. I was not ready to buy the car that day, I only wanted to provide my employment documents so I can purchase on the 5th! They were unaware that I was coming. As mentioned in the previous review, Louis was very efficient and dedicated to selling me a car. That fact remains. However, it was not my intent to purchase a vehicle on Wednesday, July 5th. I made sure that Louis knew that I wanted to trade in my vehicle. Also, upon reviewing my financials, and my level of credit, he was aware that purchasing a vehicle was not something that made sense nor fit into my budget. Right off the bat, he let me know that I was underwater with the amount that I owed on my current vehicle. So at that point, he was straightforward and honest with me. At that point, however was when he said, "Let me see what I can do". He returned with a decision. To me that decision stated, although it was seemingly impossible to meet your request, here is what we can do. With that being said, having never traded in a vehicle, I followed his steps blindly, knowing that he was the expert and professional, to lead me in the right direction. Did I agree to the one vehicle that they shared with me? I did. Did it fit my expectations for a trade-in model? It did. But this was NOT a vehicle I would have BOUGHT based mainly on its interior. Although the new vehicle is a 2020 model, my 2017 car to be traded, was much more up-to-date and current than the 2020. All that being said, BE CAREFUL if you are trading in a vehicle. Make sure you ask lots of questions prior to signing anything. This was my worst car purchase ever. I purchased a 2018 HONDA ACCORD on March 7, 2024 and it didn't come with a tire jack or front tag bracket. The car salesman, Michael Robinson promised to reimburse me for both but he failed to do so. I left several voicemails for Mr. Robinson and he failed to respond. I was also required to purchase a low jack system on the car and ultimately the low jack system stopped working. I made numerous attempts to get the low jack system issue resolved to no avail. Management staff at Easterns indicated that they would ensure that the issue was resolved to no avail. I wasted over 400.00 for something I didn't want in the first place. My experience with this Eastern Motors is that they are con artist and crooks MIKE ROBINSON AND HIS MANAGER MIKE. This is the second piece of trash they sold me in one year. First the engine was bad in the first car that I had for 8 months the car wouldn't cool and the car wouldn't heat. On Feb. 25 the engine blew up and I had insurance. Liberty Mutual is also some crooks they said it was a mechanical problem. Had the car towed to the maker of the car dealership and the diagnostics reported that it needed a new engine. Now what Eastern Motors and their crew of crooks did was patch up the engine so it could work for at least 30 days then the warranty would have expired. Now the maker of this car guarantee their motors up until 50,000 miles. I brought the car at 42,000 miles my question is and was why not replace the engine at no price to Eastern motors before selling the car. Because Eastern Motors are in the business of selling BAD cars and it's at your own risk and expense!!!!! Second car is now not starting without a jump. Same place EASTERN MOTORS in Hyattsville. This particular location (Hyattsville, MD) have a predatory financial practice where they tend to leverage their position into luring buyers into purchase unnecessary warranties that cost thousands of dollar without disclosing what they are or posing them as a requirement for financing the purchase. I regret to inform you that this situation has still not been addressed in a sufficient manner. Millersville's Manager, Joel Alexis, has been your only saving grace thus far. He has done a great job keeping an open line of communication with me since the incident occurred. Unfortunately, your Senior Director of Operations reached out to me yesterday and did not even know who I was when I returned his call. He started the conversation by asking me "Oh, are you the one who was applying for employment?". I had to then refresh his memory as to who he was trying to contact. You all should reconsider the type of representation you select for these types of situations because that initial interaction was not only embarrassing for your company but insulting from my perspective.  We then spoke for about 10 minutes over the phone with no real resolution coming from that conversation. I was told that he "did not have the authority to do anything besides selling a vehicle at cost" and proceeded to draw his line in the sand in terms of willingness to seek a resolution. I was then offered a vehicle at cost that wasn't even comparable to the vehicle I had tried to purchase originally. He offered me a Front Wheel Drive when I had already made it very clear to Joel that I needed AWD. Did your Director of Operations even try to look at the vehicle that I attempted to purchase before trying to find a comparable solution for me and my family? Is this your version of customer service? Especially from upper management?  I proceeded to then offer two other Stock Numbers for him to review and asked that he talk to someone "with the authority" to review the vehicles and respond with a reasonable offer. To which he responded "I will call you in a few. Cost is best we can do sir" That was at 5:26 pm yesterday and he did not even try to contact me again until after 8 pm. Just another example of your excellent customer service.  I would really appreciate if someone from upper management (ie owner, president, vice president) takes accountability for this tragic mistake from your end. I have already wasted several days dealing with this nightmare of a car buying experience to then be fed typical salesman verbiage to make me go away. My wife and I have to now start the whole loan process over again seeing as your corporation wasted no time in depositing our check. Again, more time wasted when this should have never happened in the first place.  I am trying to do right by my family here so I would encourage you all to go back to the drawing board on this situation and come up with a legitimate solution and stop wasting both of our time. read more

Dealerships tend to be dishonest but this one is very sneaky about it. I was a victim of the bait and switch technique. I found a Rav4 at a price I was happy to pay and went in with my husband to test drive and make sure the car was available. We spoke to Nick ( manager) and Lenard ( salesman) the day we were there. They seemed to be nice people but do not be fooled!!!!! We asked that we would like to take the car to a mechanic the next day to get it checked out. Nick and Lenard asked us to wait until Monday and reassured us the car was reserved for us. I called Lenard on Sunday to ensure that we were still on for Monday and he confirmed everything was on track. On Monday I send him information for our mechanic, he claims he will call the mechanic. A few hours later he calls back and says the marketing team made a MISTAKE with the price and now the car is valued 4000USD more than advertised!!!! THEN HE ASKS ME IF HE CAN OFFER ME ANOTHER CAR!! Curious enough they had the car we were interested in appear to be valued above other similar cars with less much mileage!! When I asked Lenard about this, he was like he does not take care of pricing and cannot explain this... THESE PEOPLE ARE NOT HONEST STAY AWAY!! I AM HAPPY WE DID NOT LOOSE ANY MONEY WITH THESE EVIL PEOPLE!! He helps to alleviate any distress I had over the issues with my be back visits. I am updating my review from 1 to 3 stars because the effort did make up for the problems that I faced however I must say that I recommend this place if you have time to troubleshoot your own issues when they arise as from what I gather it will be some time before the overall industry service to mature and evolve to a professional culture serving drivers better. Well, that didn't last long. As soon as you purchase your vehicle, the customer service drops drastically. When I purchased my car, there were several cosmetic issues that needed to be fixed, as well as the brakes. My sales person told me that all I had to do was bring it in during the week and let them know what needed to be done. It was raining the day I bought it and didn't notice a small nick in the windshield until the next day. I let them know immediately, then added it to my list. I brought the car in a few days later and was given a loaner. They had my car for several days. When I picked it up, only 2 out of 5 things were fixed, it including the windshield. I was told to call back and speak to the service manager. I called numerous times over the next couple weeks and left at least 6-8 messages for him. He never called me back. I also tried to contact my sales person, whom I also never heard from again. I finally just gave up and took that L. I also knew that I'd soon have to go back to pick up my tags, so I didn't want to cause too much of a fuss... Which brings me to my next problem. I had been waiting and waiting to get that call that my tags were in, which I was told would take a few weeks. When I realized that my temp tags were about to expire in about a week, I emailed my sales person for an update. No response. A few days later I called and the person who answered said that they were in--and had been in for a month!! I asked why no one had contacted me and she said that someone called when they came in. First of all, no they didn't. I always check my missed calls and messages, and I had nothing. Second of all, if they had them for that long, why wouldn't they try to contact me "again"? In addition, they tell you they'll send you a visa gift card for writing a Google review-- never got that, either. It's just sad that this is yet another business that only cares about making the sale and couldn't care less about the customer afterwards. I really wanted to like them. read more

I would give them no stars if I could. I got a Nissan Altima from this crazy place not thinking just knew I needed a car and I got played. We only had the car for a two years and the transmission went out on the car. The first week we got the car it was acting up the rpm was going up and stalling out. Took it back to the dealership and they drove it down the street and say nothing is wrong with it. Over the weekend we had a very bad experience with the car. We went to Ocean City and the car broke down at Ocean City with my child in the car. We had to sleep in the car with our child. Had to get the car tow to Nissan dealership in College Park to tell me the transmission is gone. What to do now? DO NOT BUY A CAR HERE.
