We are new to the area and during a brutally hot day of doing work around the house, my wife and I need to take a break and grab something light for lunch. We sought out a sandwich shop here on Yelp and found Eastport Kitchen. Once again, the Yelp community did not steer us wrong Eastport Kitcjen is a quaint little shop in a strip center - and while it's not glamorous on the outside, do not let the looks deter you. The menu is a fantastic mix of options and the food is outstanding. While I felt pressure while ordering, that's only because I was I familiar with the menu and stood salivating in front of the register trying to decide. We chose the chicken salad sandwich and the roasted turkey sandwich. My wife ordered a side of kale slaw and I chose the Szechuan green beans. All were delicious, but special shout out to the curried chicken salad and the kale slaw. Perfect! (/chef kiss) We enjoyed Eastport Kitchen so much - we went back the next day. This time we ordered the shrimp sandwich (the standard version, not the "bang bang" special), Maryland crab soup, a salmon salad and more kale slaw. We were not disappointed at all. The shrimp sandwich was the star this day, and while the Maryland crab soup was good, it paled a bit compared to the other dishes. When the menu choices are all good, inevitably something doesn't shine quite as brightly. We will definitely be back. So many more items to try. Maybe even tomorrow.... read more

I have usually stopped in here for breakfast. They have several of my early morning favorites (the Breakfast Bomb and the CapSup Burrito). Tonight, I came in for dinner. I had planned on grabbing a sandwich, but they had some nice dinner options on their new May menu. At dinner, they have table service. I ordered the Falafel Cakes. We were renovating a condo nearby for a few months and it was convenient to pickup lunch here. I think we've ordered everything on the menu at least once. There has never been a bad order. Everything is fresh and delicious. Sometimes there is too much sauce on my sandwich so now I order it on the side but that's just my preference. I'll be going back again and again. I've been going to Eastport Kitchen for several years and have always had a good experience aside from the last time. I ordered the Daisy Sandwich on gluten free toast and my friend ordered the same on regular toast. I paid $2. extra for the gluten free, but when our sandwiches came, my entire sandwich was the same size as half of my friend's sandwich. I was surprised and mentioned that they should communicate to customers when they order that they are getting a half a sandwich for nearly $15. and her reply was, "It is above my paygrade to relay your complaint to the owners- besides they don't care, they've been told that for years and haven't changed anything." Wow. I thought her attitude added insult to injury and made me think that even though I've had good experiences with their salads, I might rethink going there if they care so little about customers' concerns. read more

Really nice local spot with fresh home made food cooked fresh for you. The portions are not huge, but the prices are very reasonable. If you show up at dinner time they have a few entrees, apps and specials that they don't have during the day. It is a really nice stop for either a quick healthy lunch or a nice dinner out that won't break the bank. Quality food at a reasonable price. Options to accomodate most diet restrictions as far as I can tell. Frequently changing specials right up on the chalk board you should check when you walk in. If you are not looking for this place it is easy to miss it since it is in cluster of stores. I had the Southwest Chicken Sandwich with fries and a crab soup. The lunch was so affordable and tasted great. Not only a great price and great food, they have large potions. If you are in the area and hungry, you should try this place. read more

The food here is delicious. I'm talking about the real food. I wasn't sure about "The Chicken and Egg" Sandwhich when it came out BUT it was delicious. I expected a traditionally fried chicken but it was more breaded but done very well.Check it passed the test. The salad was just a salad but the portions are healthy so not bad at all. Would I go back? Yes I would. Atmosphere: nothing special but you can eat in and outdoors. Covid precautions: None! Bummer for me when the staff doesn't wear masks. I recommend ordering take out. I will say the staff was friendly and the menu had great options. And the bathrooms were clean. My other concern besides the lack of staff wearing mask during this crazy pandemic that we're all tired of: Stop!!! Do not, I repeat do not go here for the desserts they are NOT GOOD! We had the worse chocolate chip cookies we've ever had and the apple pie is seasoned with a personal touch meaning whoever makes these is the only person that loves them because I absolutely hated it! How American is in-American when you hate Apple Pie? Well I don't know because I love apple pie but this "stuff" deserves to be sent to the pits of H-E Double Hockey Sticks!! I can only recommend the Black Bottom when it comes to the sweet treats. Now with all that said I give the food here that is not dessert a 4, but the sweet treats to me were just NASTY which dropped my score to a three. We took our kids to the pool and realized we needed to find something quickly for them for dinner. I found Eastport Kitchen on Yelp and had never been but we saw there was a kids menu, so it met our needs and we headed over and boy are we glad we did. This place is unassuming, located in a strip mall when you walk in the counter with beer menu and beverage cooler at the front feel akin to a small town diner/home style restaurant. The comparisons don't end there though-- the staff we kind, attentive, and engaging! More than one server came over to chat with us, the chef was out and about, even other customers we sweet and chatty it truly felt like we were regulars. The menu features breakfast/brunch, sandwiches, soups, salads, and burgers it's actually pretty extensive and they have a healthy list of specialties, wines and beers too. I had the salad special with local figs, an orange honey vinaigrette and walnuts, it was the perfect size, perfectly dressed, just an all around awesome salad. My husband got a sandwich called the Jack something(?) it had italian meats on fresh sub roll. He was very pleased. The kiddos had a burger and fried (hubs stole a bite and said it was a very good burger) and the chicken strips, which is a fried chicken patty cut in strips and served with a house made sauce that seemed like mayonnaise and Dijon? Either way husband and I commandeered the dip for hubs' fries. We are so thrilled to know about this amazing spot and even better, I'm sure that literally every meal there would be a hit! Interesting menu. Recently I went for the first time. The catfish in the catfish sandwich had a tasty well seasoned, breading and was fried to perfection. I don't enjoy white bread hamburger buns so the bread to me was tasteless and unremarkable other than it's so soft halfway through the sandwich it begins falling apart. A toasty roll might be advisable. The price was very reasonable. Service excellent and kindly. I will need to return to add more stars. Breakfast next! read more

I love this place. It's local, fun, and the food is pretty simple but delicious. They have a fridge with fun, different sodas, a daily flavored lemonade, and fun specials. They're generally pretty quick* and always friendly. It's a fun, casual place to take guests, and I do love doing that. The only reason they get 4 instead of 5 stars is that it can get kind of chaotic near the register. You order at the register and go sit down if you're eating there (there is outdoor seating, btw), but if people order takeout and didn't order ahead, there's no place to wait, so they just mill about and sometimes you can't really even get to the register to order, which is annoying anyway but especially with Covid still being a thing. There needs to be a better system for folks waiting for takeout. *the most recent time we ate there, however, it took quite a while for our food to come out. Others who got there after us got their food first, and we hadn't ordered anything complex or off menu or anything. This normally does not bother me, I'm pretty patient, but my partner was on a lunch break from work and was feeling a bit stressed for time by the time our food actually arrived. As mentioned above, they are usually faster, so this isn't a big deal, but I think the next time we get lunch from them when he has to get back to work at a specific time, we'll call ahead and I'll go pick the food up to eat at home. read more

I think it's Thurs-Saturday for dinner. Not a bad idea for a dinner date! We went on a Thursday and then returned on a Monday for carry out. Full menu to be honest - wine and beer too...woo hoo! I love the idea they have mimosas too! The owner (I think) was there and he was running the show but the friendly staff was very nice to deal with. We ordered off the menu at first but then we saw a shrimp salad sandwich being made behind the counter so my fiance immediately changed his order to that! It was delicious. The only downside is the seating was hard to get at around 1 PM on a Thursday. It was surprising. It's first-come first serve and you order first and then sit down. Not sure if it's polite to steal an empty seat before you order - but you could. All the customers were very chill and polite. Overall a great place. What the what? How did I not know about the jewel in the ruff. Located in Eastport (Annapolis), you won't find a fancy dining room, or waiters that come to your table to serve you. What you will find is a small storefront that you step up to the counter and after looking over the chalkboard specials you place your order and have a seat with your order number placard in hand. This place is very clean, and the staff are very helpful, the no-frills attitude stops when the food shows up to your table. If you suffer from Orthoresia Nervosa, (pathological obsession with avoiding the consumption of unhealthy food), don't worry they also have fun healthy food on the menu. Today, I stopped in 1000 so I had to decide on breakfast or lunch. My choice was to give their breakfast menu a try. Although it is small, it has everything from a sandwich called the Breakfast Bomb, to a sandwich called the Chicken & the egg. I thought the Chicken & the egg sounded wonderful. The sandwich starts with a thin chicken breast that is floured/breaded and fried. The chicken breast is served on a lightly toasted/buttered bun with a single fried egg served sunny side up. He is the surprise, they drizzle honey on the sandwich and it is served bubbling hot and fresh for less than 6 dollars. The Eastport Kitchen was ok. It was a quaint place with high tops, a bar to sit in in the window, and normal height tables for two or four. You walk in and there is a bus boy/person that brings your food out. But you get a menu, you order at the counter, they give you a number. But it's a bit more upscale than most order at the counter venues. They have turkey sandwiches, they also have salads, and other sandwiches. They also have a few kids options including chicken tenders and a cheese sandwich (all come with a normal sized side - fries, veggie of the day, coleslaw). I loved the mural of the water and the bridge behind us too, it's very clean and the bathroom was also very clean. I may go back when it's not a boat show weekend to get a better feel for how it really feels with a normal crowd. read more

Found this place on YELP and needed just a little breakfast to get the morning started. I had The Chicken & The Egg which is a chicken breast fried with a sunny side up egg on potato bun, very simple and very filling. Also sampled the Breakfast Bowl which had arugula, quinoa potato mix which was an acquired taste...not a fan of that dish, but to each his own. This restaurant is located right at Eastport. We came here for breakfast but ended up getting lunch. There wasn't much selection and wish we came here for dinner instead as they seem to have better food. As you go inside, you're greeted and told that for brunch, the menu is given then you order and pay upfront. You are then given a number and you find your seat. You look at the wall and see the painting of the water reminiscent of Annapolis. As we sat, the seating arrangements were way too close together and I felt claustrophobic. My sister and I ordered burgers as my husband ordered the Banh Mi with fries, salad, and lychee drink. The banh mi was not good at all. It was bland and had no flavor reminiscent of a banh mi as they used pork sausage. The burgers were good and cooked it well as I asked for an over easy egg and a medium well doneness. The lychee drink was flavorful, the salad had no wilted greens, and the fries were crispy just the way we like it. The servers were really nice and helpful. But I do have to take off two stars: one gif the Banh Mi, the other for the cramped space, otherwise it would have been a great experience. read more
