    Gyro Salad
    Mandi W.

This place was interesting to say the least. I just traveled all the way from Florida nonstop, and came to this place as soon as I arrived in Ohio. I was apprehensive about going in, because it was sketchy on the outside, and zero cars in the parking lot. Mind you, it was about 3am when I arrived. The workers were outside smoking pot and cigarettes and the server was also the cook so she was everywhere. She was very friendly and liked striking up conversations, but I was sooo tired from traveling I couldn't even think right at that point. Lol. All in all, it was an ok visit. The food was less than to be desired but I liked the server the most. She was pleasant. I ordered the Gyro salad which was definitely far from a true Gyro salad, and my pal ordered the Rueben sandwich and he said it was just ok. The side order of gravy seemed like it came from a can so it had a metallic taste to it. I don't think I'll be back, but it wasn't the worst I've ever had.

Great portions. Great price. Great flavor. What more could you ask for? 24/7 service is great. Able to seat yourself and a waitress will be by in no time. Food comes out quick. Be prepared for a wait though if it's busy. Not very big inside.

Wow... Love this place! Hands down I'm coming back! The service was spot on! The food was exactly as presenting, filling and delicious!

The food is great and the service is greater! We eat breakfast here a few days on every trip to Akron, and the food is always cooked perfectly to order (not always the case with eggs!), deliciously fresh, and served with just the right balance of friendliness and sarcasm. My dad is a regular with an unhealthy level of sarcasm, so you may not get any sarcasm, but he deserves it! Ha! Dad always gets the He-Man, which is a great value if you're hungry or sharing. We recently ate lunch there, and WOW! My burger and onion rings were top-tier delicious, my husband's gyro with extra meat was slapping, and Mom loved her fried fish, coleslaw, and stuffed pepper soup. 10/10 recommend!!

Retro vibes and good food await visitors to this local eating spot on the east side of Akron. First visit for us...kind of expected an older, more run-down look, but it's bright and fresh inside and the booths and seats are in really good condition. I ordered the wrap special for Friday which was Barbecue Chicken. It was delicious and came with a generous pile of crispy, skin-still-on, wide cut fries. The Italian sub and onion rings got high marks from my partner. Service was friendly. Definitely recommend eating here.

The food was very bland, no seasoning at all. I got blueberry pancales and it was literally all blueberries and barely any pancake at all.

I can honestly say The Blue Door has earned a place among the very best meals I've ever had. What amazed me most wasn't just that every dish was delicious--it was that every single plate had its own identity. Nothing tasted repetitive or safe. Each course was thoughtfully composed with bold flavors, beautiful presentation, and combinations I never would have imagined working together... yet they absolutely did. Beyond the food, every plate looked like a work of art. You could tell the kitchen artists take immense pride in presentation without sacrificing flavor. The service was warm, knowledgeable, and perfectly paced. We never felt rushed, and every recommendation was spot on. If someone asked me where to experience one of the best dining experiences in Ohio, I wouldn't hesitate for a second. I'd tell them to drive to The Blue Door in Cuyahoga Falls. This wasn't just dinner. It was an experience.

It looked like it could have been good if it hadn't have sat out so long before it was brought to the table. Potatoes were cold. Toast was cold. Quiche was cold. The server, on the other hand, was incredible. He was attentive, friendly and a true star in our bad food experience. There were two of us, and the total for breakfast plus two coffees and tip was more than $70. Portions are huge. Ambiance was nice. Sad it didn't knock it out of the park.

They had both breakfast and lunch offerings, as well as a specials menu. Two in our party ordered the BLT with added avocado from the lunch menu, one of us got the western omelette combo from the specials menu, and I ordered the spinach avocado quesadilla from the breakfast menu. Service was friendly but a little slow, although we were chatting so we didn't mind. The couple that ordered the BLTs were pleased with them and I enjoyed my egg, spinach, and avocado quesadilla. It was HUGE and the sriracha cream dipping sauce that came on the side was especially delicious. The only let down was the western omelette combo...it came with two weirdly tiny omelettes and a small scoop of potatoes and was $21. Meanwhile my giant quesadilla was only $13 - a deal! Our server said she was new and didn't know much about the omelette combo so I am wondering if it was not the right thing. That was a bummer but the rest of the food was on point so we just wouldn't get a combo like that again. All in all a though a pretty good experience overall. Thank you, Breakfast at Tiffani's!

One minor gripe: the mac and cheese is a little one-note. It's not bad, it just doesn't surprise you. Our service was amazing and the drinks and food came quickly - we didn't need anything ever (which is a remarkable feat for a table of that size!). Seriously kudos to the wait staff - best service I've had in years. Food is always great at Crave as well. We started with salads and the steak skewers which are jam packed with spice and flavor. My husband loved his smoked Gouda Mac and cheese with crispy chicken on top. He tried so hard to save some for leftovers but ended up not being able to. I had the salmon which was perfect medium and had a really good Asian sauce with it accompanied by rice and veggies which were also cooked to perfection. We were lucky to have a back room so we had a little more privacy which was nice but the restaurant was packed for a Saturday night so I'd recommend a reservation for sure. Another thing that was nice - $7 valet parking. Super convenient and cheap!
