I have never hired movers in the past, and initially planned to rent a U Haul and hire a couple of yabos at $10 an hour, figured it would take 3-4 days and cost about $1,000-1,200 total. My wife asked me to just see what it would cost to hire professionals, and I agreed, but was concerned. First, I wanted my stuff transported safely. I didn't want damages or losses. I didn't want a bunch of lazy potheads goofing off while I paid them $100 an hour. I didn't want to go over my budget. I wanted the job done as quickly and efficiently as possible. I read the Yelp reviews and decided on Easy Does It because their only negative reviews were from people who never actually used their service or from people who had scheduling problems - because EVERYBODY wants to move the last 3-4 days of the month, and that's when the movers are extremely busy. So I scheduled mid-month ten days in advance, and they showed up ready to work. My total cost was under $750 and everything was moved safely with zero breakage. The crew of 3 guys were all friendly and experienced, and stayed busy from start to finish, even when a downpour started. I am impressed with the service I got, and would recommend them to anyone planning a move. You should understand that they are very busy at the end of the month, that they give you a window of when they will arrive, because they can't stop in the middle of a job, so you might have to be flexible. In my case, they were about 15 minutes late after moving a 4 BR house just before they came out to my home. Not a big deal. These guys saved me a lot of work and several hundred dollars! read more

Easy Does It Moving moved my apartment yesterday and this was the 2nd time I used this company. The first time I used them it was in conjunction with my studio-mate who had found them so I just went with it. They did such a nice job moving our studio that I chose to call them (on VERY short notice) to see if they could finish up my apartment move. They arrived within the window stated, assessed what I had to move and got right to work. They were able to get most everything packed in less than an hour so I decided to see if they could pick up stuff from my storage unit as well and they were totally fine doing that as well. The storage unit probably took 30 minutes and they were on their way to my new place immediately. Once they arrived, they unloaded so swiftly I had a hard time trying to keep up with where they were putting everything! They finished in less than 2 hours total which was awesome. Added to their swiftness, Cody, Robert & Phil were polite, friendly young men who seemed to truly care about their job which I greatly appreciate. While I'm hoping to not have to personally use a moving company again for a while, I will highly recommend this one to anyone I know who needs a good job done by a hard-working, family-owned company. I can't get over how great this moving experience was! We had them empty two storage units and a garage into our new home in League City. Scheduling was a bit of a scare (it took a couple of tries -not sure if communication is the owner's strong suit) but we're so glad we stuck through it. ESPECIALLY for the cost! No hidden fees, and they were done a little earlier than they'd estimated. The young men who did the move were awesome. They were REALLY hard working, funny, and so sweet to my two little girls. They went truly above and beyond. They ended up being EXACTLY correct on the estimates of time and money. We were so happy with them that we tipped an extra $100. They were recommended by a co-worker and I would recommend them to anyone!! I promised to give them a yelp review and 4 months later, I'm finally getting it done. With all the horror stories I heard when looking for a moving company, I wasn't looking forward my move at all. After a few calls that left me frustrated, I called Easy Does It and I hung up feeling so much better from just the phone call. As for my move, I'm not even sure I can find the words to give them the credit they deserve. My crew was Cody, Tim and Charles and they were awesome! They were friendly, professional and the fastest I have ever seen on two legs! They moved me from a 2nd floor townhouse to another 2nd floor apartment and never ran out of steam. Everything went smoother than I could have imagined. The cost was very reasonable, the best I found when calling the other places. This was the most fantastic moving experience we have ever had!! First of all, the communication between me and Cody was over the top. We changed move in dates on him 3 times and the apartments had us hanging on a thread at 5:00 on a Friday, not knowing if we would get the keys or not. Cody and I stayed in touch and at 4:45 on Friday, I called him to say we could move in. He and Tim and Charles were there in 15 minutes!!!! Very nice guys and man, were they fast!!! They emptied a 20' Uhaul in 45 minutes then started putting together all the new furniture we had just bought. I had small load of furniture from residence of son in law & his mother in Sea Isle to storage at Great Value on I-45 in LA Marque. We were met at the door by "the mother" who barred my entrance. Three movers began their task but "the mother" declared that she would allow only 2 movers in the house. All 3 movers were very courteous despite "the mother's" disagreeable nature. However, 2 instead of 3 movers added 15 minutes to the 2 hr./$200 quoted for the move. The $223.75 charge was well worth the care taken to move our stuff and their demeanor in a difficult situation. I would use Easy Does It again and recommend them to anyone. These guys were great. They were punctual, friendly, well mannered and awesome. We arrived at Island Bay Resort a at 6:30 pm on Tuesday, August 23. Our apartment is on the third floor. It got dark and there were no lights on the stairwell and our AC did not work in the apartment. We had so much stuff that was heavy and bulky. These guys are really good. Reasonable and use to the unusual situations that you find in Galveston. I was moving furniture out of a large apartment building in Houston through narrow doors and a garage and then into a Galveston house with 14 foot ceilings and a long Victorian way with a twist at the top. No complaints from the guys and everything went very quickly, no time padding. Be aware that temporarily they are a little hard to find...they move to the 8400 end of Broadway and google maps hasn't caught up yet. I picked Easy Does It Moving because I had heavy furniture that I did not want damaged. I was able to call Terri at the office and reschedule twice and everyone was extremely positive and professional throughout the process. Terri sent Jess, Robert, and Ian over and they moved everything in less than a day. I was also impressed with their system of coordination and communication throughout the process. We have had a stressful recovery after being flooded from Hurricane Harvey. Then we opened the walls to start repairs, to find black mold and rotted studs. We are a family of 8, and needed to move immediately. Easy Does It sent over all their handsome muscles. With a kindness and a smile they moved all our stuff, professionally and quickly. We were scheduled to start our whole house move at 8am. The guys called me when they were just around the corner and showed up at about 8:15. I still call that on-time. There were 3 guys and they started immediately. They worked until 5pm and didn't so much as sit down to take a break, unless they were in the truck going from one house to the other. It took us 2 trips to get everything moved. They were respectful to us and all of our belongings. I recommend this company 100% and will call them when it's time for us to move again. read more

Honestly, I cannot say enough about how amazing the gentlemen were. Matt, Ian and Phil were so efficient! Phil was in the downstairs storage and Matt and Ian took care of the upstairs. They managed to get my 3 bedroom home loaded and unloaded in under 2.5 hours. Word to the wise, if you DO NOT want to go over a certain amount of time, LET THEM KNOW!!! They were on time and once the paper word was completed they went to work. They got after it. I got moved by this company last year and forgot to write a review . They did an amazing job. It was my first time moving and I was super nervous and they all made me feel so much better about it. The actual move was super fast and they moved everything upstairs with no problem . They put together my bed and helped me install my washer and dryer .
