This past Sunday my sister and I decided to try an EASY option for breakfast before an afternoon movie. Easy like Sunday was super close to the Rotunda so we figured it was the perfect brunch place. There is quite a bit of construction at cross keys these days so it can be a little confusing to find. They are located basically in the middle of the courtyard. There is lots of outdoor seating, a very chill vibe and plenty of shade from the summer heat. We started with coffee because caffeine, duh! I had the dirty chai and my sister had a mocha latte. Both were perfectly crafted and delicious. Our server at the bar area was so attentive and super friendly! I will add the restaurant was PACKED and tensions were high between the workers there. Through all this, he smiled and even made us laugh a bit! Of course what is brunch without drinks. I tried the spicy Margarita which was fresh and had a good kick. I love the candied pineapple pieces, they added the perfect sweetness. The food was what i would consider normal breakfast. It was hot when delivered and seasoned well. I was able to do a little shopping in the boutique across the way while I waited which was a plus. By the way, I parked in the parking lot for the shopping center and walked right through. Not a far walk at all and the parking lot had plenty of parking. When I got the text, I went to the bathroom to wash my hands, which is always my first move. The bathroom was fairly clean which makes me feel better about the kitchen I can't see preparing my food. I had a hard time choosing my meal but my amazing server was able to steer me in the right direction. I settled on the premium sampler. The champagne itself had a great taste. Definitely worth the upgrade. I didn't really use the purées but only because juice isn't really my thing. I also ordered the chicken and pancakes. Plenty of outside seating, more limited inside seating which was noisy. Carryout also available. Service was prompt and attentive. Started with a blueberry muffin that was a little dry by good. My daughter had the Everything Breakfast Combo with 1 and a 1/4 slices of bacon, eggs, fried potatoes and french toast. She liked everything she ordered. The potatoes were fried too hard for my preference so they will not reheat well. I had the shrimp and cheddar grits which was sitting in a bed of oil. I hadn't been out to Cross Keys in years, but I had family visiting and they were staying at the Delta Hotel there. Easy Like Sunday was very convenient for them to get breakfast a few days during their stay. Joining them one morning, I found the restaurant to be very cute and beautifully decorated with very accommodating staff. Dierra served our table of 11 with ease and a smile. The prices here are not inexpensive for typical breakfast items. A side of bacon was $6, French Toast was $16, small pancakes were $7, a cup of regular coffee was $4 (and it was cold), a turkey sandwich was $18.00. Our total bill was $200! I can justify that if the food is something special, but these were all things I could find at any other breakfast place and make at home myself for much, much less. For drink I wanted to get a mimosa but ended up getting the sunday love, it was good but I wanted pineapples at the top lol I had cornbread pancakes and chicken. So I opted to sit inside and was given the choice of having a window seat or a seat at the bar. I sat at the end of the bar near the espresso machine; which was nice. I was able to see all the creative caffeinated drinks being made alongside the various brunch cocktails. The restaurant is beautiful. I'm talking a bouquet wall, chandeliers, pink wallpaper with gold leaf accents, and the list goes on. The menu prices are on par for the experience (location, food quality, service, ambiance, etc.). I ordered, what I'm calling their version of "bottomless mimosas." It was a bottle of Prosecco with three fresh purées and garnishes. The purée flavors were peach lavender, Hawaiian, and passion fruit-all refreshing and delicious. I enjoyed the Shrimp & Grits brunch entree. The grits were divine and you could taste the every ingredient that went into making them. I appreciated that the shrimp sauce was light yet still very flavorful. The only thing I wanted, but the dish didn't necessarily need was Old Bay. Lol. This place is worth every Yelp Star and every penny spent. I can't wait to return and recommend you giving them a try. The restaurant is located inside of the Village of Cross Keys. They have indoor/outdoor seating with a cute set up. The atmosphere and vibe was great! They take walk-ins only and said that our wait would be 45mins to an hour but we only had to wait 20mins which wasn't bad at all. I got the Shrimp and Grits and my husband got the Bit of Everything. It was pretty bland (all of it) but meat and potatoes perfectly cooked texture-wise and ketchup and hot sauce saved the day! I was impressed that I was asked what kind of hot sauce I wanted (about 4 options). Kinda hate when I go to restaurants and ask for hot sauce and they give me Tabasco. Whet!? The 2 star rating is ONLY because it doesn't seem like enough toilets for the number of guests dining at a time. There are 2 gender neutral/family bathrooms which had a line. This was a surprise spot in Baltimore. I didn't know there was this air mall in the middle of nowhere and I was dropping off my dog at his boarding spot before I went to Disney for two weeks I needed breakfast. This spot was nice and inviting, but the prices are hefty for breakfast. The food was good and I know the cost of food is high so I just ordered and enjoyed to the best of my ability.
