We were here on our way back from DC and got seated immediately outside which had nice view of the ocean. They have dog menu which is was grit for our pup. Made a reservation for Mother's Day fun brunch, through Resy, and wished I picked another spot instead, here is why: 1. Walked in at our reservation time and no one there to check us in. 2. Finally someone came back and cannot find our reservation, I should her my text messages and email to ensure we have a reservation. 3. Sat us downstairs by a high table, and that table was nasty, with sticky drink spills and marks all over, we had to clean it ourself. 4. Because we waited for 20+ minutes no server even came over to greed us...finally we waived someone down and he said he can take our order. 5. We ordered a French toast, seafood omelet, crab cake Benedict, biscuits and gravy & drinks. Drinks came out fairly fast, but we waited forever for the food. 6. I personally was not a big fan of any of the mix drinks there, way tooooo sweet. 7. After the food finally came, they are ok, not bad. 8. Then we decided to order some additional food to take with, ugh.... So regret, cause we waited for almost 30min for the takeouts. 9. Additionally, they ask us to put a credit card down to open a tab as soon as our order was taken, and charge 20% gratuity automatically , but claimed they only charge this to big parties....REALY ? There were 4 people in our party, I never heard of party of 4 was considered a large party. 10. Atmosphere, dive bar vibe, loud not in a good way, uncomfortable dining seatings. Sad to write this review because the point has been a staple go-to for my friend group for so long but our most recent visit was disappointing. Our waiter disappeared for 30 minutes at a time but still wanted to be strict about the bottomless mimosa time. My friend was only able to get one mimosa and she looked annoyed when he said he'll just pay for the one mimosa he had and order another drink since the bottomless mimosas ended and it was twice the price for the bottomless. I know it's more of a bar, but I was slightly disappointed at the fact that they only offer black coffee. I feel like when you offer brunch you should have some type of coffee variety. The food was average, band the market priced items felt overpriced for the amount that you were given. The potatoes were quite bland and the steak was pretty chewy. It seems like a nice vibe. Food the food here was definitely excellent. I enjoyed my OG Smash burger ($17) , which came with two beef patties, lettuce, cheddar and their special "The Point" sauce. For an additional cost, you can add avocado, egg, or bacon. They also have a note on the menu that the patties cannot be cooked to a certain temperature. Service was excellent. In route back home from a weekend getaway we stopped in Baltimore because well, he's a party animal! Why stop the fun, fun is his middle name! I googled best brunch spots in Baltimore and The Point in Fells popped up with fantastic ratings. I immediately came to Yelp and was shocked to see the vast difference in ratings. I went with my gut and allowed the pictures to lead us, and let my palate be the judge, glad we did. Service was good. We got out just in the nick of time, 2 large parties came in. It's Pisces season and if you know water signs they are loved, it was two 10 plus parties that sat as we were finishing. The restaurant is decent looking, causal but people were dressed up. Very loud and noisy environment! I came here for a dinner with a group and we were in the upstairs private area which was extremely loud with high ceilings and the sounds just reverberated off the ceiling. It was super hard to hear talking and getting to know people. The wings were good but I anticipated more for the price. Desserts were mediocre and though the apple cake that I had was good and a nice large portion, the icing was too sweet and affected the cake itself. Probably would not get dessert again here. Should I come back, I'll probably get a burger or something and try something else. Don't get me wrong, the wings tasted great, but they weren't filling. I found the point to be a fun spot! Definitely a really good happy hour and social space. They play lots of good music here and have really good drinks and wings! I will say it can get quite loud so this isn't a great place to have a substantial conversation, but I really enjoyed how friendly the staff were and how Creative some of the dishes were! We tried the brown sugar old bay wings and honestly I really enjoyed the dynamic flavor of those two together ! My partner's mom was also able to get a mocktail out of a regular cocktail, which she was definitely excited about since she abstain from alcohol. From the time we walked in to when someone actually greeted us or took our order, it was well over five minutes. That's usually my cutoff, but we were new to the area and genuinely wanted to give the place a fair shot. Unfortunately, the service felt unorganized and unstructured. The staff didn't seem to have a clear system, and the tables were sticky not a great first impression. It felt like the waitresses were running the show with no real management in sight. Even wiping down tables seemed rushed and half-done. The reviews we saw beforehand made it seem like a solid spot, but after experiencing it for ourselves, it felt misleading possibly padded by locals or regulars. Disappointing first time experience. Got a ticket for Labor Day brunch. Why did I need a ticket? I dont know. No one even asked for it. Also had to make a reservation. Place wasn't overly busy but the service was subpar. Our food came out cold but on top of that we had no silverware, napkins or even the syrup that comes with waffles... unlimited 2 hour drinks were watered down and took forever to get. Then at the end 18% gratituty was added for a party of 2. All in all brunch cost us $85 and I didn't even drink anything but water. Icing on the cake - literally it was my friends birthday and I made a note on the reservation to surprise him with a desert and even told the server it was his birthday - but nothing happened. We went to The Point today in search of some tv screens showing the Browns-Vikings game - after the good folks at another Fells establishment wouldn't even consider "unconvincing" their soccer fans. Erin basically rolled out the red carpet for us, and once she found out there was a birthday girl in the group, she became even MORE attentive and considerate. Thanks to Erin and The Point we got to eat, drink, shoot pool, and watch football all morning. She kept the pints flowing and the food was fantastic! What a fun surprise by the water, cool wrap around bar upon entering, tables are an option! Family owned homestyle dining at its best. Start with Crabby Tots and Deviled Eggs, amazing!! I was in Sunday (12/21) with a party of 8. The restaurant was the most Christmas decorated restaurant that I've ever been in! It was so fun :) Our server, was also the 2nd floor bartender, was the sweetest, most attentive server. She was so kind, and great with the 3 little ladies in our party. One of the best brunches in Baltimore that is always delicious and filling, but your service may or may not be good. The Point and I go way back, I've been coming here for years, sometimes to grab a drink and a snack, but mostly for their brunch. I've come here enough that I can say their brunch is so delicious, I've had plenty of entrees and appetizers and it always hits the spot. I've also come here enough to know that the kind of service you'll get at The Point truly depends on luck. This does not include bartenders, they are all fabulous and work super hard to be attentive, especially when it's busy. This is purely the servers. While every server is very friendly, some of them are attentive and others are not. Sometimes I show up when it's packed and get my orders within a few minutes, other times you could wait 30-45 minutes for drinks or food. I know this is not entirely dependent on the servers themselves, the number of tables, orders, and the kitchen can all muck up the process. But if you take time to read through the reviews on this, poor service is mentioned often. I hope the business owners read the reviews and take suggestions seriously - with some training and maybe a look at internal processes, The Point could be known for their service as much as their crab tots and crushes! read more

The salmon had zero seasoning and my crab cake was the worst crab cake in Baltimore. We told the server and she hurried off with an attitude and told the manager.
