Mr. E and I are on a mission to support more Black owned businesses, and started the new year out by enjoying brunch at Yeiboh Kitchen in Baltimore, MD. It was a gorgeous day, the first Sunday in January, 2026. We arrived at 11:00 am, when they open, because we wanted to make sure to be ahead of the well documented Sunday brunch crowd. Yeiboh Kitchen does not take reservations (although they do reserve for special parties/events). [[HIGHLIGHT]]Yeiboh Kitchen has an intimate outside patio dining area in front for that alfresco experience.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]When we entered, we were greeted warmly, and waited in comfy chairs for about 10 minutes in the cozy foyer complete with fireplace, before being seated[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There was a mix of smooth R&B and mellow Hip Hop flowing on the PA system - and then the DJ set it up, and continued the vibe![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The bar, open kitchen, and cheerful wait staff enhanced our anticipation of the food that was in store![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We were not disappointed! I had the Jerk Honey Glazed Lollipop Lamb Chops AND Grits! It comes with 3 chops, cooked to your specification. (Medium for me) I was trying to scrape my plate for the last morsel of grits, and suck the Lamb bones, it was so good! The hubby ordered the Deep Fried Salmon and Grits, served with a savory Cajun cream sauce, scallion and tomatoes - and 2, fluffy scrambled eggs! He absolutely loved his meal! We also had the Deep Fried Biscuit Flight. Three biscuits - Salted Caramel Apple, Strawberry Cream, and Banana Pudding - perfectly fried in a way you would not even think they were fried, but for that ever-so light, crispy texture on the crust, and every bite - perfection! I cannot say which biscuit I enjoyed the most - I'll need to visit a few more times to make a determination! For beverages, we had coffee, and I ordered my (usual) mimosa. Our server, "Ms. Sunday," was extremely personable, knowledgeable, and accommodating. The Chef, Mr. Chris Davis, greeted us at our table during the meal, which was a wonderful, elegant touch! He explained about the fried biscuits (without giving away too much!)- and we complimented him on his culinary innovations in the kitchen! We chose Yebo for our one year anniversary dinner and while it wasn't our first choice to do with kids, the evening was enjoyable and smooth. The service was genuinely great--attentive without hovering--and the dishes (we mostly ordered off HH small plates menu) came out surprisingly fast, which every parent can appreciate. We ordered the Island wings which were slightly charred and fall off the bone. All of the entrees were enjoyable. I had the Asian ribeye with mushrooms, and a side of Brussel Sprouts. I'm so disappointed. The service was horrible. We waited over 20 mins for our drinks. Appetizers came out, and then they brought out our meals a few mins later (before we had a chance to eat the appetizers). And then our waitress disappeared. She didn't check in to see how the food was. We had to flag her down. Another 20+ minutes for our second round of drinks. Never refilled our waters and then plopped the check down on the table. Special thanks for accommodating us last minute. In the area for my niece's graduation from Morgan State. Once we decided to brunch found out last reservation had passed but when my other niece explained the situation that her sister just graduated from Morgan State they gave us a reservation but warned review menu as upon arrival we will need to place order. The ambiance, the staff, and the food--what an experience. I can't say enough about my recent visit to Yebo Kitchen. Everything we ate was absolutely delicious. The jerk lamb chops were hands down my favorite. The fried rice complemented the dish perfectly, and the addition of green beans was the perfect finishing touch. The drinks were crafted just right. Someone greats you at the door when you first walk in. There is a front bar area, then the open kitchen, and a lovely dining room. We sat at the bar. We got a biscuit flight. The flight has an apple, banana and strawberry biscuit. All of them were great. The biggest surprise was the biscuit was fried. I would have thought that would make the biscuit heavy and greasy. But the biscuit was perfect. Next was the garlic pepper shrimp. These were perfectly fried and drizzling with some magic butter or oil. Then it was on top of crunchy wonton strips. The jalapenos on top give it the perfect amount of spice. Not as spicy as you would think. The lamb chops were the best, meatiest (is that a word) I have ever had. I'm just going to leave it there. I went here for Sunday brunch with some friends and this place did not disappoint. When you enter, there is a small lounge area with bar seating. There are more formal table, seating options in the back portion of the restaurant in addition to patio seating. They do not take reservations, so the feeding is first come first serve and your entire party must be present in order to be seated. The hostess was really nice and our service was wonderful. Now for the food... I got the avocado toast which comes with smashed avocado, roasted cherry tomatoes, and grilled shrimp topped with two sauces. The toast that all of the toppings sat on was nice and crispy on the edges and soft. The shrimp were perfectly cooked and complimented the tomatoes and the smashed avocado. This was a perfect way to start the meal. For my main course, I got the lobster fried rice which comes with a deep-fried lobster tail on top. This dish was so good and packed with lobster meat. In addition to the lobster tail on top. I appreciate the portion sizes at this restaurant as for three people we spent about $110 altogether and everyone left full. My boyfriend and I came here last week for a quick meal before our movie. We did NOT plan wisely though as far as time goes and weren't expecting a wait. They were all so kind but we ended up leaving to grab something else so we would make our movie without feeling like bullies trying to rush the staff. When I say they ran outside after us to bring us back in, I mean that literally haha. I didn't catch her name, but she assured us they'd accommodate our rush and they absolutely did! We got sat quick, served quick, and our food was fast and we made our movie with time to spare. We got the wings and crab eggroll app as well as the surf and turf Mac. Those lamb chops were a 10/10. You were an amazing waiter and you paid great attention to our table and made my cousin's night even more special. Drinks: few ordered, I went with the Botanical Gin & Tonic which was a tad more sugary than expected and could use a little more alcohol to cut the sugar overload. Appetizers: we ordered the following: Crispy beef wontons: delicious but the beef inside presented more of a cheeseburger flavor and I was hoping for a standout beef approach. It was delicious but again, I immediately thought of a cheeseburger wonton with the first bite. Yebo crab rolls: I wanted to love this dish but it had a little too much salt. Delicious flavors but something in the dish carried more salt that I expected and I had to refrain from it. Main dishes: I ordered the whole fried branzino and hear me well, I have had many branzino dishes from numerous restaurants across the U.S. and this dish is added to my top branzino list. This was a trip to flavor town and it all stood out in the way that they seasoned the fish to perfection and added a scrumptious lemongrass sauce over it. My goodness, this fish was SO good! The rice was okay, nothing special. My focus was on the fish from start to finish. Can I add that you know when a fish is fried well if it's perfectly white inside, soft, and falling off the bone. This was a winning dish and I hope that they never change it. Members of my party ordered the following: Surf and turf: it can use a different plating presentation to spotlight the various components of the plate but it carried flavor. Fried lobster rigatoni: the heavy salt was back and my boyfriend, while he enjoyed it, he wished that they used less salt. At the end of dinner we had a specially presented lemon crunch cake brought to the table and honey, that cake was sinfully good! I had been wanting to check out Yeiboh Kitchen because the food looked amazing! I went for brunch and it was great. The inside is bright at the front and more cozy in the back where the tables are. They also have outdoor seating out front and in the back. The service was pretty good, although a little slow at times which was surprising because they weren't packed. We tried the biscuit flight to start, which was excellent. The biscuits were fluffy and the toppings were excellent. I had the salmon & grits, which you can get blackened instead of deep fried, and that was so well seasoned and perfectly cooked. The cream sauce was full of flavor and really added to the dish. My friend had the Yeiboh Omelet, which had lobster and crab in it, and was served open faced/not folded, but perfectly cooked. Overall, this was an excellent meal. This was my first time at Yeiboh kitchen and I had an AMAZING experience. We were seated rather quickly. The restaurant is cozy, with indoor, front and back outdoor seating. Loved the music they were playing last night. I was literally Shazaming some of the songs throughout dinner. Menu-wise, there was so much to choose from on the menu and everything sounded delicious so of course it took me forever to decide on what to order. Our server, Noah, was awesome, super kind, patient and knowledgeable. I trusted his recommendations so he definitely helped me to narrow down what to get. Loved everything I ordered. The branzino was piping hot, fresh, crispy and delicious. The kale Caesar salad was over the moon good. Fresh, crisp, and had the perfect amount of dressing. The banana pudding was great. Very light and I loved their take on the presentation. The wait staff was great, very attentive, and seemed to be working as a team. Several people even smiled and thanked us as we were leaving, which is a huge plus for me! I had gone when they first opened, and while it's understandable that new restaurants are still working out their flow, my first visit left me unsure. I decided to give them another try, and I'm so glad I did. I sat at the bar, and the bartender, Ashley, was incredible! She was spot on with her recommendations, flexible with my drink requests, and had such a warm, engaging personality. The restaurant itself is cozy and on the smaller side, so I recommend going for an early dinner since it does get busy during peak hours. This place is still a vibe! There's been a slight change in the name. It's now "Yeiboh Kitchen." I visited when they first opened and again last night with some friends for happy hour. The indoor space is cozy but there's options to sit in the back patio (covered and still technically inside) or the front patio (outside). We were greeted right away by the hostess. Everyone was really welcoming, including the bartenders and servers. Keisha was our server and she was awesome. She kept checking on us and was just all around good energy! We sat in the back patio where we could still hear the music. Shout out to DJ KeeBee!! Happy hour is Monday,Thursday and Friday (5 - 7) and I believe only at the bar area and the front patio. Double check with the staff! The specials are good. The Zulu brussels sprouts were my favorite. The island wings are also really good. My friends enjoyed the shrimp tacos and the salmon chips. I started off with wine then switched to a cosmo. I didn't love the cosmo and it wasn't in a typical martini glass. I heard brunch is great so I need to come back for that! Were there on Saturday night for date night ... and MY, MY, MY!!! I was impressed by the overall experience. From when we're seated, they had a small lounge area that you could sit down until your table was ready and use the QR code to scan for drinks. Once seated in the dining area of which was close knit with dim lighting and table lamps made it cozy and that intimate feel for date night. It was a QR code to scan for the menu. Every single choice sounded delicious. After deliberating for a lil while, finally I decided on jerk lamb chops as a starter and my husband had the crab egg rolls... OMG !!! The jerk lamb chops were sweet & savory with just enough kick!! The crab egg rolls were so flavorful, each bite just got better. For our entree we had the Surf & Turf of which is Mac & cheese, Lamb Chops and a Fried Lobster Tail and my goodness... it was soooo DELICIOUS! The Mac and cheese had that fine layer of Brown baked crust... with every bite! The fried lobster tails was soooo good, fried just enough and seasoned nicely. Both were good. The wings spicy. The eggrolls delicious and filled with REAL crabmeat. I orders a peach margarita. My sister has an old fashioned. For dinner o was limited to non fried foods. The branzino would have been perfect but it was deep fried. So I ordered the red snapper with fried rice. I wish it came with another side preferably a veggie. My son and sister ordered the lamb chops and it wane with fried rice and green beans. Let me just say the green beans was soooo good. OMG. I wanted an order to go. I wanted to love this but they do not expect people with more sophisticated palettes, especially when it comes to Asian cuisine, to be able to discern between flavors. This restaurant does not take reservations. We walked in on a Sunday for brunch. We were informed, that, although it was after one, the wait was still about 45 minutes. I appreciated how the host checked in with us regularly to let us know that we were up next, or that our table should be ready soon. Again, walking in for brunch on a Sunday, I don't have too many complaints about the wait time. It is what it is. The food, however, was a different animal. Biscuit flight: Honestly, this was either the best or the second best item we had the entire time we were here. It was so good. We demolished those three biscuits within five minutes. They were perfectly fried, and the different toppings were well done, but not overdone. I, personally, a sauce/cream, girl, so I can always use more sauce or flavored cream. However, even though there wasn't an excessive amount, the amount was just right, and the biscuits were perfect. 5/5 White sangrI didn't even finish it. It was definitely just wine with a couple pieces of fruit and mint tossed in there. There didn't seem to be any addition of other liquor, no emulsification of fruit, and not even any fruit that had been steeped in the wine. It was not as sweet as I would like my sangria to be, and it also didn't even taste very traditional. 2/5 Shrimp and crab fried rice: The rice was so bland. It literally tasted like someone took a frozen bag of pre-cooked rice with mixed vegetables, tossed it in a pan with some oil, maybe added a scallion and a pinch of salt, then threw the seafood on top. The Dungeness crab literally tasted like water. It didn't even have a seafood flavor. There was no old bay, no butter, nothing. Again, the shrimp was the star of the show, but there were only a few of them. I asked for soy sauce. They didn't have it. I asked for salt. That did not make it better. I asked for more "oyster sauce "and they brought me more hoisin. We sent it back. What I will say, however, is that they were very gracious And understanding and took it back after we explained what was wrong with it. The presentation of this dish was cute, but it did not taste good. 1.5/5 Prime rib BLT: when I saw that there was an item on the menu with a "red wine gravy, "I got so excited. I am a gravy fanatic, first and foremost. And a prime rib BLT sounded amazing, especially with potatoes on the side. So, imagine my disappointment when my food arrived, and I tasted the meat only to realize that they were not using gravy, they were using, you guessed it, hoisin. Are y'all OK? And I know this was hoisin, because I had asked for extra gravy on the side. They brought it, and I confirmed that it was the same sauce that they had brought for the rice, which was hoisin. There is a stark difference between a red wine, gravy and hoisin. The potatoes serve served on the side were good, but we sent this dish back, too. I didn't ask for a hoisin sandwich. I wanted that red wine gravy. 1.5/5 Banana waffle: this was really good. This was really, really good. It wasn't overpowered and it wasn't so sweet that you didn't even wanna eat it. It was cooked perfectly, the presentation was beautiful, and we really enjoyed this. 4/5 Hotcakes: these were really good. Definitely more southern style than a traditional pancake, but very good. In so many ways, the flavor and texture reminded me of a cross between a Johnny cake and a pancake. I did have to ask for extra butter and whatever cream they had on top because I enjoyed it and it did need a little bit more. Ultimately, however, this was good. 4/5 Fried salmon and grits: honestly, y'all should've led with this. This was my favorite dish of the day. This was so freaking good. I would highly recommend this dish if you come to this restaurant. The salmon was perfectly fried and so flavorful. The cream sauce that they use was so delicious and the grits were made perfectly. 5/5 Eggs: i'm not really sure what was going on with these eggs. We asked for them to be fried with cheese on top. They were definitely scrambled/folded, with sliced white American cheese on top. 2/5 Overall, I would be lying if I said, I wasn't disappointed by this experience. Lying about hoisin versus red wine gravy is also one of the craziest things I've ever seen at a restaurant. I also want to add that, although the service was very friendly, it was clear that our server was probably overwhelmed. It took more than 20 minutes for us to even get our drinks once we were actually seated. And when she brought the drinks out, there were only two, and she couldn't remember who ordered what. Would I come here again? Not to dine in. I would absolutely order the biscuit flight and the salmon and grits for takeout. read more

This place is a complete disaster. We arrived at 6:00 PM and were told the wait would be up to an hour. Nearly TWO HOURS later, at 7:45 PM, we still hadn't been seated. Not once did anyone come over with an update, apology, or explanation. After wasting almost two hours of our time, we asked to be removed from the waitlist and leave. The manager was standing right there, looked at us with an attitude, and said absolutely nothing. No apology, no concern, no attempt to make things right. If this is how they treat potential customers before they're even seated, I can only imagine how bad the rest of the experience would have been. Been wanting to get to Yebo and was super excited to finally get here. I came with a friend during happy hour and, as expected, there was a wait. We got lucky and there was one seat at the bar so I sat and he stood. Eventually, the bartender snagged him another stool and it worked out for us to be able to do happy hour since it was only available at the bar. Service was great. Our bartender was very nice and moved quickly. Also the food came fairly quickly. The Island wings were so good but if you can't handle spice, don't order it because you get kick from the jerk on the wings and the Wasabi ranch. It paired so well together. The salmon nachos were ok. Don't think I would order those again. The Brussel sprouts were great also. My friend had the surf and turf (fried lobster tail, lamb chops, and mac and cheese) and I tried all little of everything. Sooo good and the portion was great. I only gave 4 stars because the drinks were too strong. While I'm all for a strong drink, I feel it needs to be mixed well and balanced. The cosmo was better than the margarita. I've been trying to get here for quite sometime so when my friend and fellow yelp baddie asked if I wanted to go, I said absolutely! We came for happy hour and when I say people were waiting at the door for this place to open. I was like ok the food GOT be good for all that lol. We walked in right at 5 and were greeted by a lovely host. The space is cozy and inviting; basically unchanged from the last occupant which was beautifully designed. We sat at bar. I ordered the salmon nachos and jerk wings. Both were seasoned down, unique and delicious! The nachos were the standout for me. The right amount of accoutrements, textually appealing, a little spicy, light and crisp yet filling. I had a few bites of my friend's lobster mac and it was also stellar. Compliments to the chefs! To end my Galantines trip, we grabbed brunch at Yebo Kitchen. In talking with one of the owners, Yebo is Zulu for 'yes'. And yes baby this food was on point, highly recommend. We had a small wait and no they do not take reservations, so get there early. We grabbed a seat at the bar and our bartender Lindsay was awesome! I initially thought I was going to order the deep fried salmon and grits but the couple sitting next to me had some egg dish (which I later found out was an open faced omelet) and all I saw was seafood and was like I want that. What you see featured is the deep fried biscuits flight (salted caramel apple strawberry cream banana pudding) but the strawberry and apple were my favs! I would like to see slightly more filling in the apple & banana but overall they were delicious. And as I said before I couldn't pass on that Yebo Omelet lobster, crawfish and crabmeat....seafood heaven and they didn't play with it either! To drink I had the Bubbly Blueberry Refresher (tequila, triple sec, agave & prosecco). I sat at the bar which had a contemporary chic feel to it. Unfortunately, I didn't get a look at the dining area but maybe my next trip to Baltimore. So if you're ever in Baltimore looking for a great brunch spot....stop by Yebo Kitchen!! This restaurant has a really unique setup. When you walk in, there's a cozy front patio, followed by a bar in the center, then finally a more intimate back dining area. I started with the Brussels sprouts, which had a tasty asian-inspired twist. For my main dish, I ordered the salmon and grits. The grits were creamy, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. Yebo's is THAT girl. Period. We ordered the Deep Fried Biscuit Flight and every single one was amazing -- but the Salted Caramel biscuit? Baby... 100/10. The Fried Salmon & Grits was unreal. The salmon was perfectly fried and seasoned just right, and the grits were silky, creamy, and full of flavor. The Banana French Toast was fluffy and delicious, and the eggs were cooked exactly how eggs should be -- soft, pretty, and not overdone. This is a very popular restaurant that doesn't take reservations, so be prepared to wait. My husband and I went on a Saturday evening and waited about 45 minute, but let me tell you, the food was absolutely worth it!!! Once we were seated, our server took our order right away and the food came out surprisingly fast. Every single dish we tried was a 10/10. Flavorful, hot, and well-prepared. I genuinely have no complaints. I can't speak on the drinks since we didn't order any this time, but I'll definitely be back to try them. The food was tasty. The potatoes were my favorite. The short rib hash was good, but the "rib" was really just shaved meat on top of more potatoes and hidden under some sauce. The cocktails we had were also a letdown but I saw other tables ordering different dishes and they looked good, so I would go back and try those. Parking can be an issue. Southern charm with a splash of razzle-dazzle is exactly what you'll get at Yebo Kitchen. We arrived 15 minutes before opening for Sunday brunch, and we were promptly greeted and inviting inside at 11am. Gotta love that. They do NOT take reservations so I suggest you arrive early with your entire party for Sunday brunch, or wait an hour outside (very little space to wait inside). It'll be worth the wait but I'm just sayin'! Our waiter, Ty, was great. He checked in often, kept our water filled, and quickly got our orders in and served up hot. Our food was amazing. I ordered the strawberry biscuits, but Ty misheard and ordered the flight of biscuits. It was only a few dollars more and honestly, I should've ordered that instead of the single biscuits. It was dessert! Three warm, fluffy, sweet biscuits topped with apple, banana, and strawberry, respectfully. I'd return for those alone. For entrees, we ordered jerk wings, shrimp avocado toast, and shrimp and grits. OMG every bite hit the spot. No notes. Kudos to the "Chopped" winning chef. The place is very cozy and cute inside. I very much love the decor because it's very welcoming. While it's not a big and wide establishment, it's long and there's outdoor covered seating and indoor in the back past the bar and the kitchen. We were one of two parties to go inside as we got there when it opened. Chef Sammy was there and we said hello to all the staff as we walked to our table. The menu QR code is taped to the middle of the table and that makes things easy as well as cuts down on clutter on the table like regular menus add. Our server was Ty and they were very nice and helpful. They made sure to let us know the fried rice has dungeness crab legs on top as I'm sure that has caught a few people by surprise. We ordered the deep fried biscuit flight that contains: salted caramel apple, strawberries and cream, and banana pudding. My favorite was the salted caramel apple because it wasn't overly sweet. The biscuits were light and not dense, so that was very nice. I loved that the frosting on top wasn't so sweet, I imagine it's been cut with marscapone or cream cheese. For entrees, we ordered the strawberry cream french toast and the crab and shrimp fried rice with a side of chicken sausage. The mains were very tasty and the rice was perfectly cooked, then fried. The crab was delicious and the French toast was fluffy and not overly saturated or sweet as it came with the same cream as the biscuit. The chicken sausage was overcooked and dry while also being too sweet, so we didn't finish it. I appreciate that it was homemade. For drinks, I got the brown sugar peach margarita and my date got the maple old fashioned. He said he couldn't taste the maple, but I could. I didn't really get much flavor from the margarita in terms of brown sugar, but it was good and not overly sweet. We enjoyed brunch and will come back another time to try other things and maybe try dinner. As we started to wrap up, more people came and so I believe we got there at the right time when it opened so it wasn't so crowded. read more
