First he worked on the action, and the only word that comes to mind is it plays like silk, super easy and consistent. As far as buzzes, he did innovative work, creating what guitar players would call a zero fret to raise the strings so they don't buzz and have a consistent termination. Not only did they have a price range that was right for me, but they tune, rehabilitate, and move pianos! So instead of having to deal with five different people, it was just one stop. So convenient! Whereas my last mover bid higher, were only in Lodi two days a week, and would tell me the night…read morebefore the move if they would arrive during a four hour window in the AM or PM, Larry scheduled a specific date and time with me. He arrived on the dot. The last time my great grandmother's 1879 upright which weighs at least 800 lbs, was moved, it took 3 guys. I felt bad when I saw it was just him like maybe I should have provided more information on what kind of upright we were dealing with, but he made it look easy and handled the piano with great care. I wanted to watch the whole operation but didn't want to make him nervous haha. Then, after the move was completed, he played it a bit and revealed that it had been muted, for who knows how long, and showed me where the mute slide was. I then got to hear its full voice for maybe the first time ever. Amazing. Sadly our new home flooded the following week and we had to move the piano a little for the mitigation and will probably need to move it around some more for renovations but at least we know who to call if we need help.
