La Cucina in Northfield had great food! Lobster ravioli special, chicken parm with added bolognese sauce, chicken Florentine, rigatoni w/bolognese and crème brûlée! All yummy and service was great! We were a joking table and our server went along with us! Nice ambiance also!

Excellent family owned restaurant. The food was delicious and the staff were all friendly and accommodating. We were able to sit outside on their patio since it was really nice weather. We recommend this place and plan to go back again when in the area.

The food is plentiful. The service is prompt and personal. The ambience is romantic and classy. White table cloth and warm bread at an affordable price.

I really wanted to love this place and the food is quite solid even, but the service and overall experience were severely lacking. Tables don't get cleared so you are surrounded by dirty dishes, our waitress was bafflingly rude and the timing between appetizers and the meal itself was awful. Our first set of bread took over 20 minutes to come out and only had two slices in the basket. Did we get someone else's used bread? Our starter was decent, we had the sausage and rapini, although the portion was small and the rapini a bit under seasoned. The mains were good but nothing extraordinary. I went with the truffle cream sauce chicken dish and my dad had the salmon with farrow. I cleaned the plate, but felt everything was a tad overpriced for the overall experience. I also got maybe 2 pieces of crab on a dish that was supposed to feature it. There are better options in the area. It seemed the summer crowd really overwhelmed this place. Probably won't be back.

We went to this restaurant with 2 other couples. We had never been before and I can say after last night we will never be back. Our meal and dining experience were a huge disappointment. I started with the Caesar salad, which was good, nothing unusual, or outstanding. The rolls on the table were warm, but inside seemed quite stale. We waited longer than usual for our entrées. Nothing complicated when they came out everyone said that their meals were lukewarm. I found my meal to be more on the chilly side. I notified our waiter, who took it back and several minutes later, came back with a heated up meal, I noticed on the initial presentation and then when brought back, it was quite a disappointment. It was chicken piccata with one chicken breast cut in half on top of the smallest amount of linguine. I have ever seen. Once he did it off, it tasted fine, nothing unusual. To top off the evening when our bill came, we asked the waiter to split in three ways. When the credit cards came back, he had added an additional $50 to each credit card. my husband went over to our waiter, and when he pointed this out to him, he did not even seem surprised or concerned. all in all, not a stellar experience, and definitely not worth the money paid. There are much better Italian restaurants in the area and seem to appreciate it's customers a bit more.

A summer down at the shore wouldn't be the same without a few dinings here. All is made fresh for the table by the talented chef-owners. Our reservation was at 7pm. #1 annoyance- when we ordered water for the table, we were told that they do not serve tap water, you have to buy bottled water for $2.50 a bottle! #2 annoyance- after ordering more than $100 worth of appetizers to share (that is how we like to eat so we can taste a lot of different menu items) and being served a couple apps, we were told that if we did not order entrees we would be charged a $10 sharing charge per person. If we were told that when ordering or it was on the menu, we would have changed our order. Needless to say we had to after all the food, we also had to order an entree that we really did not want and took home. #3 annoyance- After ordering the many appetizers the waiter looked at us funny. When I said that if we wanted more food we would order more, his response was that the kitchen closes at 7:14pm. Really? We just got there at 7 and I can't believe (well, maybe I can) that they didn't have reservations after 7:14pm. #4 annoyance- after eating our mezza and awaiting for our salad we asked for clean plates. We were told that the dishwasher called out and there aren't many clean plates. If you looked around the empty restaurant, all the tables were pre-set with the same small plates, all they had to do was give us plates from another table. The waiter did bring out clean plates after all but had to give us more grief! #5 annoyance- I left the restaurant without saying anything about this horrible experience, but I decided to call the next day so that they could hopefully learn from this and improve. When I asked to speak to the owner or manager I was told that they were busy. I left a message that I was a new customer and had a delicious meal and wanted to give them feedback and left my name and number. You can guess what happened next- absolutely nothing. Needless to say, we will never go back. I don't like leaving bad reviews, but this was so frustrating and rude.

Let me start out by saying that the place itself is not much to look at and the furniture could use an update. It's decorated nicely inside. The service was ok the night we went and it's usually better. They had a huge birthday party (about 15 people) that took a lot of their time. However, the reason to come here is the awesome food. They bring you out three dips and pita for dipping. Each one if fantastic. For my meal I started with the salad topped with Mohammed's spiced vinaigrette. The dressing is so good. For my main I got the Egyptian Flounder with veggies and couscous. It came with a side of tahini to put on top if you like to. The Flounder was moist and delicious. The veggies and couscous were also very good. The portion size is incredible. The attached picture shows my meal, WHEN I WAS FULL AND MY MEAL WAS FINISHED. It came with two big flounder fillets. My wife got the crab bisque as a starter and scallops with lobster sauce for her main. I was able to try both since we had so many leftovers. The crab bisque is probably the best I've ever eaten. My daughter got the salad as well and the lamb stew which she really enjoyed.

So I'm a regular at AC, and I never knew this place existed until I saw a video on Instagram of…read morethem and of course, I had to check it out. From the outside, it looks like an average building, but once you get past those door it's like a whole different world. The inside is so beautiful, and I love the open middle concept, especially with the high ceiling, which lets the natural light in, so it makes everything look even more beautiful. It can also be intimate, as they have sections that can be a little private, so it's great for like dates or if you have a family get together. Also, they are close to the outlet as well and have parking too. I do recommend checking out their hours and menu before going, as they kind of have specific menu options that they offer on certain days. For example, on Fridays and Saturdays, they only have a prefix four-course meal, which each person has to pay $68.99 (we went on Friday). But they have a lot of great options, so you still get to try a variety of their fusion menu options. Especially, considering that if you look at the prices separately for the items that were included, I think it's a really great deal, since it comes with your starter bread, appetizer, soup of the day, entree, and dessert, and they don't skimp on the portion size either. Since it's French, when in Rome, you know I had to go with Escargots à la Bourguignone aka Snail, as this is something I've never tried before. It wasn't my favorite, but it wasn't too terrible for a first-time dish like that. Next was the soup of the day, which was a Afghan lentil soup, which we enjoyed. For the entrees, I got the Uzbeki Palau, which is lamb shank with Afghani rice, and oh my goodness, that lamb shank was so delicious, the bone just slid right off the meat. My friend got the Kofta Chalau, which is meatballs in sauce, and it came with rice as well. He really enjoyed that as he finished the whole plate! To finish it off, we were served Firni for dessert, which is an Afghan rice pudding with chocolate mousse and a piece of baklava. We were so stuffed, it was a lot of good food, and I will definitely go back to try their other menu options, which includes vegetarian as well. Also, it's BYOB as they are Afghan and do not serve alcoholic drinks, so you do have the option to bring your own bottle of wine or liquor if you prefer. Drink options were tea, fresh juices, coffee, and water, no mocktails. Overall had a wonderful time. The service was prompt, our waitress (sorry, I forgot her name) was very friendly, informative, and very attentive. The food was amazing, and the atmosphere is just picture and video worthy, very relaxing, and I did not feel rushed at all either. I will definitely go back whenever I'm in AC.

She was a gem, and so patient and knowledgeable about everything in the menu. (Appetizer) Bolani: You have to get this. It's this crispy, golden fried dough filled with seasoned potatoes and herbs. It comes with a jalapeño chutney that is SO flavorful. Honestly, the menu description doesn't even do it justice, it's delicious. (Entree) Kabul Alfredo: I went with this for my main. It's basically the best of both worlds, its a linguine with garlic, creamy Alfredo, amd shaved parm, but topped with Afghan chicken kabob. The chicken was so tender and perfectly seasoned. I am SO glad we found Setaara, we'd originally tried to grab a quick burger at a hotel restaurant after a work event, but we were completely ignored there, so we just walked out and walked down the street looking for something open. The whole vibe was great, and our meals were absolutely incredible. Restless little ones blocked the entry, setting the tone for my overall Saturday evening experience. That Norma's is popular, there can be no doubt. We had no reservations, and felt lucky to snag a table. The place was bustling, servers had their hands full, we were obliged to be patient until ours arrived. I love Norma's menu -- my partner is vegetarian, so Mediterranean works great for us. I went the veggie route as well, starting with a lentil and ckickpea soup that was hot and savory and the high point of my meal. Other appetizers we enjoyed were the spanikopita and the cheese manaeesh, second to none. My veggie skewer was perfectly charred yet light. After such a promising start, then, our entrees came as quite a disappointment. My partner opted for the falafel salad, and while Norma's falafel are indeed superior, the salad was a bit of a mess, too ... wet, diluting the dressing, leaving runny runoff on the plate. But the greatest misfire wss the mixed kabobs entree I ordered. Everything about it was underwhelming -- these are signature items that should be stand+outs, but weren't. The kabobs were just okay, lacking in appeal, resting on a bed of rice that was unremarkable except for how cold it was. I suspect my plate had been held too long. I know they would have fixed it had I asked -- but seriously, I was up to *here* with all the kids. While I was eating, a woman behind me gathered up her gaggle of tots, squeezing out of the way to make room for a baby carriage the size of a Volkswagen. Does Norma's deserve a second chance? Sure. Next time, I'll stick with the appetizers and stay close to my wine glass lest the kindergarteners in my vicinity cause my nerves to fray.
