I placed a mobile order for pick-up-- I got a breakfast burrito with bacon, sausage and tenders, over-medium egg, cheese and tater tots. When I arrived to pick up my order, the general manager happily greeted me when I walked in and pretty much greeted me by name, asking if I was there to pick up my order. I said yes and he went behind the counter to get it for me. He read back the order to confirm it was correct. He was very friendly and appreciative of my business. I told him that a couple friends recommended I try their breakfast burritos and he was very confident that I would be happy with what I got. He thanked me and asked me to come back again soon. Eat Fantastic Cafe #11 in Redondo Beach. (The spot where Carls Jr was on PcH.) First time here and I was very impressed. Outside the cafe appears very vintage. The Redondo Beach and Dodger motif is very inviting. Inside the decor was modern, clean and functional. Both small and long tables, nice bright lighting. I ordered the first thing that caught my eye, the Fantastic Lunch Box which included a burger, two chicken strips, frys, choice of sauce, and a chocolate chip cookie all for $14 (!). My to-go order was completed in less than 10 minutes at a very busy time. The Lunch Box can only be described as "fantastic!" The burger was cooked well, the lettuce, tomato, red onions, pickles, the sauce and the bun were delicious. The included two chicken strips were large and plump, They were moist and tasty! I ordered the Raphael/staff recommended Fan Sauce and it paired well with the strips. The frys were very good as well. Surprisingly they tasted like I was eating mini french fried baked potatoes. The quantity of food could easily feed two people! I saved most of the frys, a chicken strip, and the cookie for dinner! On The positive side, the smashed burger had a nice crispy crust and the meat was fresh. However, the burger was bland lacked seasoning. I ordered my cheeseburger with no tomato, but it came with tomato, a soggy bun, and was saturated with sauce. I ended up only eating the meat. The fries were cold and tasted old, I wasn't given a receipt and i even gave a tip (for drive thru service), and the service wasn't very friendly. Very disappointing experience compared to the other locations I've visited. This is a first and last for me. I'm so excited that Eat Fantastic finally opened in Redondo! We went in on Friday, and honestly, it's exactly what the neighborhood needed. It has such a cool vibe--it's clean and bright with this modern-retro feel that pays a nice tribute to its history as a local chain. I love the layout too; they have booths along the sides but then these long picnic tables that are perfect if you're coming in with a big group. The wall art is a really cool modern take on an LA map, and that outside mural is just amazing. Plus, they have one large TV, so it feels like you're just hanging out watching the game with your neighbors. The food is seriously high-quality. I actually didn't know the founder had a Greek influence, but you can taste the fresh ingredients in everything. The burgers are solid, but that $14 lunch box is the real deal. You get a burger, two tenders, fries, and a cookie. The tenders are huge--honestly like the size of a chicken breast--and they have a nice thin, crispy coating instead of that thick breading that's usually all filler. You have to get the Fantastic Sauce, too; I can't even compare it to anything else, but it's so good. Oh, and for the fellow ice enthusiasts: they have the "good" ice in the fountain drinks. If you know, you know! The staff was incredibly friendly. It's a counter-service spot where they give you a buzzer, and they even have a drive-thru which is so convenient. Just a heads-up though--you bus your own stuff, and I felt so bad because I accidentally threw my basket away! The guy there was such a sport about having to dig it out for me. Can't believe some people are already leaving such harsh reviews for a newly opened spot. When we visited, it felt incredibly welcoming everyone was clearly trying their best, and the atmosphere was fantastic. We didn't get to try the full menu since we had already had dinner and were just looking for dessert, but we ordered a strawberry shake and a vanilla shake, and both were so good. (Nice touch that you can choose whipped cream or not!) The interior has such a fun, local vibe--loved the basketball game playing live. It's definitely the kind of place I'd come back to, especially with my kid and his friends--they would absolutely love it here. read more

How can you recommend a place that you can never get into. Came here on a Sunday at 9:45 AM for breakfast and the door does not have any real hours on it. It says 00 a.m. seven days a week. There's no hours on yelp from the business you go to the door. You could see people inside but you have no idea what time they open. Opening day (April 16, 2026) and this place absolutely delivered. The food is phenomenal--it's not your typical fast food, it truly tastes like real, gourmet-quality food. I asked if they can remove the onions because I have never been a fan of them, however they forgot to take it off. No big deal, it happens, I've dealt with it before. I can just pick it off. But the thing that rubbed me the wrong way is that there was no bacon on the burger, which it was supposed to have. So not only did they not take the onions off (minor inconvenience), but they shorted me by not putting the bacon on the burger(what I find to be a problem). Which these food places raise the prices on burgers with items such as bacon. Idk. Just rubbed me the wrong way. However, have been here once before and it was good. Maybe just because it's a new location and new workers idk. But who forgets to add bacon to a burger that advertises it?
