Service is top notch. Andrew, who was the cashier/server was excellent. He made sure that the burger was cooked how it was supposed to be. He was very friendly and attentive with every client while I was there eating my burger. They make sure that the meat is not undercooked or overcooked and that everything is well prepared. I needed a quick bite today after my pre-birthday shopping and saw that The Melt had just opened! Conveniently, it's close to where I parked and I had not eaten today so I decided to stop here. I am a vegetarian and appreciated that they labeled the vegetarian friendly items. Andrew greeted me and took my order, he was great! Came yesterday around 7pm for dinner and we got a double melt cheeseburger, swiss and shroom burger, fries, and a fountain drink ($40 including tip) Loved the burgers, their juice and the toppings inside taste very fresh! The meat patties also has their own flavor. I love that you can adjust the sauce and type of cheese on the burger for free. Burgers were well cooked and fries were decent. One of the worker was nice enough to go around and give away a small sample of their cookies. Only to realize that it was super burnt on the bottom. Great new burger spot just opened up at Del Amo Mall! The Melt just opened up right across Lucille's on the outdoor section. We were lucky enough to enjoy them on their training day, I tried both the spicy mission burger (8/10) and swiss n shroom (8.5/10.) Even as singles, the portion of each burger was pretty good. We also had garlic parmesan fries (8.2/10) and cheddar bacon ranch fries (8.4/10.) Very generously sized and lots of flavor. I had to get a chocolate shake and it's dangerously good (9/10.) Consistency isn't too thick where you're struggling to drink it (in and out) and very chocolatey. For burgers and fries though it can be kind of expensive, it was $50 for 2 burgers 2 fries 2 shakes, but the economy is Just like that now I guess! Service was excellent; I'm not sure if he was one of the managers but his attitude overall was super positive and welcoming. He gave out chocolate chip pretzel cookie samples to everyone and I ended up buying one. I got their marshmallow treat as well but although it was good, it was a bit of a letdown as it was in a bag and not freshly made like everything else they had. Patties were juicy but I wished that the meat was had a char or crispy crust. Lastly, if you LOVE garlic, these fries are for you. Price for the meal was pretty fair for mall food. Not sure how long this place has been opened, but they have a good amount of seating space indoors and outdoors. Sauce was spread on inconsistently where some parts had it and some didn't. Steak and cheese melt was flavorful. Loved the option for spicy garlic bread (star of the show). Bread stayed nice and crispy. Bacon ranch fries was nothing to rave about, we actually didn't finish half between two ppl and threw it away. I've eaten at a lot of places from LA county, Orange county, to San Diego County and all over. There's so many other burger places, cheesy places that bring more flavor to the table. My friend, also gluten free had a burger. The patty melt was grilled to perfection you would never know it was GF. The burger bun was good, not carboardy and good texture! The sweet potato fries were season well, cooked to perfection. The melted cheese puts you over the edge into happiness! But it doesn't give you a heart attack either! My in laws shared a double burger with Sweet Potato Fries. I tasted their fries and was perhaps the best sweet potato fries that I ever tasted in terms of quality.The food that we ate at the Melt was delicious and was recommended to us by Andrew upon getting settled.
