Tom's Tacos -- Definitely Worth the Bite!…read more Tom's Tacos definitely knows how to make a taco! The crispy tacos were the star of the show. That perfect crispy shell paired with the soft, flavorful shredded beef inside made every bite absolutely delicious. The beef was tender, seasoned just right, and packed with flavor. And let's talk about the guacamole! Absolutely amazing. Fresh, creamy, and full of flavor--it was the perfect addition to the tacos and burritos. The salsa deserves some love too. It had just the right amount of flavor without overpowering the food. It complimented both the tacos and burritos perfectly. Now, I'll be honest--the prices are a little on the high side. But when the food is this good, I can understand paying a little extra. The portions, flavors, and overall quality make it definitely worth the money. If you're craving some seriously good tacos, Tom's Tacos is worth checking out. Come hungry, grab some guacamole, and don't skip those crispy tacos!

When the craving hits, it's always tacos!…read more I stopped by Tacos El Goloso on PCH and ordered a mix of street tacos (carnitas and al pastor) along with the tacos dorados de birria. I've been here before, and the birria tacos were exactly what I needed for a late-night craving. Crispy on the outside with a good amount of filling and strong flavor - they really hit the spot. I ended up having four of them. The consomé on the side was really good too - rich and flavorful, almost something I could've just had on its own. The street tacos were solid. The carnitas had that tender, slightly crisp texture, and the al pastor added a bit more seasoning and contrast. Nothing overcomplicated, just straightforward and satisfying. Service was friendly, and the setup is quick and casual. In the South Bay where places tend to close early, it was nice that they were open until around 10pm. Overall, this is a no-frills taco spot where the focus is on the food. Easy choice when you're in the mood for tacos.

Today we got consomme, chips, and cucumber agua fresca. But the drink tasted a little on the stale side as if it's been there for days and not replenished daily. Not sure what happened. Usually it's on point but somebody dropped the ball. So taste the agua fresca before you walk away to make sure it's freshly made (fyi). Otherwise, food is great and consistent. Service: sometimes it's good sometimes not just depends on the day I guess. Ambiance: busy, always busy so maybe call or order online if you don't want to wait.

It was a big portion and hit the spot on a warm day. However I wouldn't recommend the sampler. The tacos were pretty small so by time you process what you're tasting, it's gone. I woke up early to lounge and go for a dip at Hermosa Beach. After 3.5 hours, I was hungry and looking for something closeby, filling, and refreshing. Service was friendly, quick and overall solid. No major complaints. I absolutely loved the tacos I ordered: Pescado, Tinga, and Papas con Chorizo. The last two tacos had a little kick of heat to them which were enjoyable; I seriously considering purchasing more for takeout cause that's how awesome they were. I also got the Armando Palmero (2/3 Limon, 1/3 Jamaica) - perfectly tart and really complemented the savory flavor profile of my tacos of choice. The only callout I have is that the countertops and tables could be cleaner, but I shouldn't be too critical about this since I came in right after the lunch rush prior to any cleanup from said rush. I'm already looking forward to the next time I'm in the area because I have the melon & horchata agua frescos top of mind.

They got a wide selection of Mexican food and the street tacos (and regular tacos) were the reasons for our visit. The food is pretty good. A little on the pricier side but you're also in the Riviera in Redondo Beach. The ambiance is nice. Great vibes. Laid back, nice spot to relax and socialize. Their drink menu is pretty wide as well. Solid margaritas here. Given how busy they were, it took us some time to put in our order but we couldn't get mad at their waitstaff. They were very busy handling all the tables. Today was the asada vVda burrito. Deassada was fresh, tender and juicy with lots of flavor. All the other ingredients blended well. It was on a smaller side but just enough. Albondigas was the worst of the order. It was hardly a soup that brought savory broth feeling and tender meatballs that comfort you. Instead the broth was super bland, meatballs were flavorless and too firm to cut with the. Had lots of veggies which was a plus if you like sweet with veggies which I do. I just wish they were also tender, swimming and good broth. Most restaurant serve fresh chips and salsa which they did. Complimentary chips were hard. This also was too heavy on oregano. Ordered some guacamole but had to ounce for them to cook fresh tosadas so we could eat with the guac instead of the hard chips. $14 wasn't too bad for the price and the portion. I did enjoy the one fish taco that I ordered. Was huge portion but stacked so high that you could barely close the tortilla. This is the first time I bought a flour. Tortilla worked well for the taco. It was also bland but I was able to salvage it with some of their spicy salsa that I requested. Places are heavy on the alcohol and drink menu which likely is a draw. I actually really love the Paloma which was non-alcoholic. However, the food must meet the mark and today I am sad to say it missed on several points For my standards. I really did appreciate the staff who were all very helpful, super friendly and did their best to accommodate all of our asks. The location is nice right on the Redondo Beach strip with so many food options to choose from.

Service was very friendly and attentive and we were promptly seated and served fresh chips along with a trio of salsas which were fresh and had the perfect levels of spice. My son had the kids enchilada and enjoyed his meal. I ordered 3 tacos from the à la carte menu. The chicken was fine but the fish and shrimp were undercooked and I couldn't eat them, which is why I deducted the one star. The other deduction was for the underwhelming flavors in the meals themselves. Usually when a Mexican restaurant had amazing salsa, the same vibe carries through with the entrees , but unfortunately it wasn't my experience. I would probably try once more and edit my review based on a second experience.
