We often look for Thai food when out of town because we live in such a food desert. I asked a local at the museum what was good and she was happy to recommend this place as the best. It was small but we did not have to wait long at all to get a table and the barstools for the 6 of us. It was very good and on par with Nashville and Florida and other places we have been. Really good, didn't know what to expect on the 1st visit, but was very pleased by the Mussamin curry chicken. Had it with the lowest heat and will go hotter next time. Having moved here from San Diego, I had pretty high standards for Thai food. And eat Thai café lived up to all of my expectations! I had the drunken noodles and they were amazing perfect level of spice and a good mixture of vegetables. This place is AMAZING! Seriously, I've lived in Thailand and this is as authentic as you can get living in the states. Yes it's a smaller restaurant but they keep it clean with chic decor. At first I was a little conscious of the price but they give huge high quality portions. The people that work there are so nice and friendly, Ryan took extra consideration to make sure that everyone was taken care of and even carried an elderly lady's food to her car without her asking for help. EAT Thai Cafe is now our favorite place to dine when we go to Bismarck. The interior is small but cozy. The restaurant is definitely not ideal for a large group but if that is the case it would be worth your time ordering take out.
