I stopped here around 1pm on a Thursday for lunch, and as I expected, there wasn't much of a crowd. That made looking at all the food more enjoyable when you're not sensing someone waiting for you to move out the way. I was seated in a booth with a family member, and ordered lemonade before I got up to pick my food. The selection was pretty small compared to other buffets, but I did enjoy a lot of what I chose. My favorites were the sushi and beef with broccoli. There's many seafood options, meat, sushi bar, soup bar, and desserts. The staff was efficient and friendly, removing used dishes that I had from the table. The total for two adults lunch buffets & two soft drinks came out to $38.26. I have NO idea why this place only has 3.5 stars but I felt being realistic about the buffet environment this is hands down the best in New Jersey. The food quality was pretty great; flavorful, hot and fresh it was a nice meal. You get what you pay for. We went during the grand opening week, and previous decorations were still up from the prior restaurant that used to be in this location. Service was okay. Staff weren't really around. Checked on refilling our waters but not clearing our plates once it was obvious we were done. We were one of a few tables opened, and it wasn't busy. This place is very underrated. The food was delicious and fresh for a buffer and the atmosphere was really nice. The staff were all very friendly and helpful, which made the experience even better. Eat Well is a solid budget buffet that recently opened where the old International buffet once resided. Price-wise it doesn't get much better than what Eat Well offers. Weekday lunch is $12.99, dinner is $19.99, and for weekends, $23.99 for both lunch and dinner. In terms of variety of food, the selection is pretty good. There is sushi, hibachi, both Chinese and western style dishes, and plenty of fruits and desserts as well. They didn't have ice-cream when I was there, but one of the waiters said they will have it soon. They're just waiting for the equipment. Service was good and the staff was friendly and attentive. The quality of the food is not going to win any Michelin stars, but I think it's adequate for what you're paying for. read more

Three of us had lunch here a few days after the grand opening, and we all agreed that $12.99 per person for weekday lunch is a fantastic deal. There are five main areas set up for food: seafood/sushi, hot foods, soups + rice/noodle, salad + dessert, and grilled meat + stir fry area occupied by two chefs that cook for you. Unfortunately, you don't have a choice of meats during lunch -- there were just pork chops when we went -- but during dinner, it seems like you can also get LA ribs. Where you can pick and choose is the stir fry station, you choose your carbs from rice and various noodles and then select your meat and vegetables, as well as spices. I attempted to try almost everything once and found the taste of the food to be good and at the minimum decent overall. The one thing I did find lacking was dessert: There are only a few options (don't forget about the cookies and butterfly pie, which is in a different area than the rest of the dessert), and my brother and I were tricked by what appeared to be cheesecake but was actually some sort of an egg tart-ish dessert. I have never been to the location when it was a crab shack, but it seems like the buffet decided to keep the previous decorations. Wait staff aren't necessarily friendly, but they are efficient and are good at keeping an eye on your table so that they can quickly clear off your empty plates. Awesome place. Very friendly staff and if you ask them to bring out more of something or something fresh they instantly bring it with a smile. Weekends have crab legs. Love it. Just about everything is great. I would only suggest the crab legs be a little bigger and steamed not boiled. The pro is that the food overall was not bad and above average for a buffet. Most of the dishes were well prepared and tasted fine. There is a fairly decent sushi spread as well. They also have a seafood pot/entree item during dinner that has crab - though most people descend here instantly and grab everything quickly. The con is they don't have a giant spread for a buffet and I don't think the options are as good as other places nearby. The service was also on the slow side (albeit they were friendly). There is quite an assortment of food to pick from, American fried food, sushi, and Chinese food. The main go to for us was the clam and mussels. They also have the American Chinese food if general tsao, orange, sesame chicken. The sushi is average, typical rolls with some speciality rolls. They even have a grill for pork chop and shrimp. There is really an abundance of seafood here which is good the price point. They have ice cream as well. Service was good, came often to gather our finished plates. Seems like a clean place as well. We had a variety of dishes including Chinese food: Low Mein, Fried Rice, Chicken, Vegetables, etc. The fried chicken was a solid choice as well, the salmon was good, and I tried some "exotic foods" such as Frog Legs, Eel with Raw Fish Eggs, Baby Octopus, Cow Stripe, and raw Sushi. The servers are quite friendly and attentive and come to clear the plates that are finished. My brother and I used to love the previous buffet that used to be at this location pre-pandemic, but never got to try this place. The offerings seem to be more seafood-focused compared to the previous buffet which I was excited about as a seafood-lover, but also a bit wary. Service was good and the staff was prompt with refills and clearing plates. The selection of foods is slightly smaller compared to other buffets I've been to. Most of the offerings were pretty standard in terms of flavor and quality for what you expect from a buffet; however, much of the seafood and grilled meats left something to be desired. The shrimp was overcooked and was nearly impossible to peel. The crawfish was also overcooked and had a gummy texture. I would avoid the raw shellfish altogether. I had a lot of trouble cutting and chewing into the grilled meat, too. Other than that, both the sushi and the standard Chinese food options were just fine. We did go for a bit of a late lunch, so I may give this place another shot in the future. read more

As a senior places like this become the norm to dine. It is not my preference but my dad's. Money is not a concern when it comes to dining but my dad insisted. Food is ok at best. Chinese food is Chinese food and it is my least favorite of all the Asian offerings. Sushi, is not fresh but acceptable at best. After two pieces I am done. Seafood is diverse but warm to cold...A little more heat and it would be ok. Fried stuff is fried and over cooked, which leads it to be dry. Overall food would cut it to for those on a budget or do not know better. I would not go personally but hey this is a dining experience I solely do for my father. I will leave it at that. Service is nice as they now my dad and he tips for that buffet service. The people are pleasant and bus the tables regularly. The ambiance is nice and welcoming. Bright and the food is showcased well. It is a good place for a family to get together and eat ok food. This is just not my thing. Why five stars? Because I'm considering quality, price, and category. For a buffet at this price point, it's well worth it. Located where the old International Buffet was, that later became Aloha Krab, I'm really glad to see the buffet come back. They have kept most of the decor from Aloha, simply clearing out the center for the buffet items. The selection is what you would expect. The pricing is very good. I have certainly paid far more for worse food and had to drive much further to get it. I love the Chinese ribs served on the bone. Their baked imitation crab casserole was good. Everything was pretty much what you would expect. Baby clams in black bean sauce, general's chicken, chicken with broccoli, all of the staples. The sushi looked good, although I tend to prefer the hot Chinese dishes. The most promising thing about the sushi is that they didn't seem to be putting out too much at one time, so I expect it will be fairly fresh. At this price point and for this kind of dining, I'm not expecting stunning food, I'm expecting classically prepared food in the style of Chinese takeout. They certainly delivered on that. The place was very clean, which is to be expected since it is newly reopened. If they can maintain this level of cleanliness that will be a huge bonus. Dessert was a weak spot, and I didn't see that ubiquitous staple of buffet dining, the soft serve ice cream machine. Maybe they'll get one. I was here for dinner on opening day. They didn't even have all of the food labels placed on the buffet station yet. I'm normally leery of a brand new place, but they seemed to have their act fairly well together. A delight to see this Chinese buffet opened up in Bergenfield. They have kept the same decor from previous restaurant which can be a bit confusing to some but to me it's all about the food. They have hibachi and kalbi which are already a premium, sushi and all the regulars, foods are tasty and fresh- although the fried sushi coating is a bit chewy to my liking. Evan on a bad day, you might find a fly or two. That's about it. You get a lot for what you pay for. For $25 it's all you can eat. 2nd (and last) time here. Table servers were very good but the grill guy and sushi guy were worthless. Short ribs were empty when we arrived (6pm on a Sunday) and they didn't replenish for over 30 minutes even after multiple requests. Sushi guy basically stands back there and looks at empty trays until he feels like replenishing. Not the mention the annoyed looks he give you if you take more than 1 or 2 pieces! I'm guessing not replenishing short ribs (kalbi) and sushi is a management decision to save money but it is very annoying. For a few dollars more go to POC in Hackensack or Sushi House in Teaneck for a true AYCE experience with much better quality food all around. read more
