Stopped in by chance very small and intimate run by a lovely Japanese couple. I grabbed the lunch special three rolls for $12.50 along with the beef Bulgogi bento box. That was around 18 bucks. It came packed with tons of meat along with other assorted side dishes, & weighed probably 4 pounds. Definitely great bang for your book. The sushi rolls were standard and did the job. Ordered via GrubHub for a late Friday night dinner when the sushi craving hit. I ordered a tuna bowl, and hubby had a salmon bowl. All of the sushi bar bowls come with edamame, miso soup, seaweed salad, kani salad, regular salad (in this case, it was arugula), and avocado. The fish came in huge chunks, lightly marinated, and tasted fresh. No complaints. I'd order again and try some actual rolls next time. Solid, above average sushi. Have been looking for a spot that has good salmon sashimi - this place has it. They also had scallop sashimi that I was hesitant o try but it was solid. Today my Son and I decided to try Sushi Nabi for lunch. It was disappointing, and I have no idea why it is so highly rated. It is a tiny place with about 7-8 counter seats and a 4 person table in front by the window area. We sat at the table, which was pleasant with a bunch of plants surrounding us. The owners, whom I assume are husband and wife, were quite pleasant and accommodating and the place, including the cute restroom area in the back, seemed clean. Now on to the food. Basically, although mostly fresh and the rolls were huge, it was tasteless and not of high quality. We ordered miso soup, shrimp shumai, and 3 rolls (2 special with salmon and other fish and 1 tuna/avocado roll). It was BYOB; so we brought our own sake, which they heated for us. The soup was good. The shumai so so (the fish tasted like it might be on the way out, and the sauce was not interesting). The rolls looked interesting but were bland. They didn't bother to add any kind of seasoning or sauce, which would have made them more tasty. In comparison to rolls we've had elsewhere, these were thumbs down. It was a lot of food and we were stuffed but, to please us I guess, the owner brought us another piece of "special fish" which was also tasteless, as well as a complimentary little jug of a milk product that tasted like OJ, and was pretty good. We didn't say much while eating but, when we got out, we both agreed it was some of the worst sushi we ever had (and we've eaten a lot). No plans to return. read more

I treat myself to lunch once a week and I've been wanting to try this place since they opened about a year ago. I definitely see why they have so many positive reviews. Everything was delicious and so fresh. I got an Alaskan roll (salmon, avocado and cucumber) and a shrimp tempura roll (shrimp tempura, kani, avocado and cucumber). Monday through Friday they have lunch specials that's $9.50 for 2 rolls or $12.50 for 3 rolls. Everything else is very fairly priced as well. Definitely check them out if you're in the Teaneck area. I have been wanting to try this place since they opened. Their photos look really amazing so we thought we would try it out. Overall, it was okay. The sizes are quite generous. We got kani salads, honey roll, and crabmeat salad roll (4 items- total $50) The kani salad was much bigger than I expected. It was a legit salad, not like the small crab/kani and cucumber covered in sauce you would normally get. It sat on a large bed of argula and some kind of shredded red stuff- maybe beats? Idk. It also came with avocado and mango chunks. It was a nice looking salad- just not what I was expecting. The rolls were large- but just alright in flavor. The rice wasn't mushy or hard, it felt like the right texture. With all the flavors it came with, I thought I would like them much more. The crabmeat inside the roll kinda just tasted like canned tuna. It was too fishy tasting for my liking. The texture of the kani was rather hard. I did not enjoy the texture of the kani in any of the dishes that we ordered. The honey roll was also just alright. The veggies all seemed fresh so that's good. Lastly, the soy sauce seemed watered down.. Maybe in the future I will try some of the basic rolls instead of the ones with a lot going on. The man inside seemed friendly. Had an amazing meal here! The staff was super friendly and accommodating and made some great recommendations! The sushi was presented beautifully and was super fresh. I discovered this little gem while I was walking to Bank of America! It right next o BV Tuscany and very newly opened. My boyfriend and I went to dinner there the following day and it wasy amazing! If you eat in, there is only a sushi bar to sit at but it was so worth it because the chef gave us some amazing free samples! I had the sushi kitchen box and my boyfriend had the salmon bowl. They came with a bowl of miso soup. The sushi was really fresh and the portions were generous. The chef also made the most delicious imitation crab salad I have ever had. I had no idea it was imitation crab becaue ise it was so delicious! THis will now be my sushi spot. There are other items on the menu like chicken teriyaki, bulgogi and kalbi, etc. I will try one of those on my next visit. The chef and staff are really nice and very welcoming.
