Do I really need to explain how I am an Italian food aficionado, how Italian food is my default? The other day my ladyfriend with similar culinary tastes mentioned Eataly opened a Miami (well, Aventura) outpost so she and I just had to check it out. For the uninitiated, Eataly is a combination cooking school, Italian supermarket, and restaurant. Given that I started dabbling in the kitchen, for that alone it was worth checking out. When we went on Saturday night, the classroom part was already closed. The marketplace was packed, but just from walking around there is pretty much a very wide selection of cheese wheels, wine, and different types of pasta. Since my ladyfriend and I were looking for a place to go for dinner, we went to sit down at one oh the different restaurant spaces. Given that it had just opened, we were able to just get a spot at the bar. We started with a meatball appetizer (5/5) that was perfectly juicy and well sauced along with the bread. For the main, we decided to share their "Salsiciotta" pizza. This delight was a that started with a nice spread of San Marzano tomato sauce & topped with mozzarella, sweet sausage and Basil. We also asked them to put the muscles only half of the pie. We shared some slices which were pretty tasty and along with a traditional meat pie, we ended up with plenty of takeout. Given my sweet tooth, I did enjoy a few bites of their wild berry pannacotta with the rest to go. My friend enjoyed her Pinot Grigio, and I ordered my usual glass of Moscato. I did have to knock a half star for since it was a little dry for my taste. As it were, at first I thought they served us the same wine. Service was pleasant, if for a few opening day "hiccups" like my wine and a little waiting to be served. I'm still giving them 5 stars and looking forward to trying more dishes and cocktails! read more

We were in the area and decided to visit Eataly. Since it's a Saturday, it was packed. Even though the establishment is big, I couldn't help but feel a little confined. This should honestly be called eataly express. It's SO tiny! How is this MUCH tinier than NYC? That was disappointing, to be honest, and everything is super narrow. The prices would make any Italian immigrant scream but is to be expected in US. Good to go if you're going to the aventura mall but not worth the drive by itself. I as a current lover of EATALY in New York, I was beyond excited to hear that they were opening one up in Aventura. It's a good 45 minute drive for me, but worth it. It is not like the one in New York, but I definitely recommend it! The Market: soooooo many different options of things! You can buy fresh items, a lot of choices for olive oils and pastas, and there are little kiosks offering food from Gelato, Coffee, Pizza by the slice. Il Pastaio: We sat at the pasta counter, which was cool because you can see the entire kitchen working. The service was okay, we were being assisted by 3 different people which always left us confused. They don't clear your plates nor pour your wine. Drinks: A Grillo bottle of wine which was delicious! Food: The Bruschetta, Salami plate, Gorgonzola Cheese plate, The Patatas, and split the Caio Pepe. The Gorgonzola cheese was the highlight of the food, very fresh with a side of fig and walnuts. This review is based on my experience compared to the NY and Vegas Eataly. I was excited and looking forward to visiting this location. Unfortunately it was disappointing. As we walked through the store, not one employee greeted us. We decided to sit at the bar, it was not busy. Plenty of seats available. There were 2 bar tenders walking around with several others working on other things. We waited for a few minutes. One of bar tenders walked over, grabbed a couple of menus and just placed them in front of us. No hello, no greeting, no introduction. We sat for a few more minutes looking at the menu. We realized they don't offer a full bar like in the other restaurants. There was no music playing. The environment just felt tense and unfriendly. After waiting, for what I would consider, too long. We decided to leave. On our way out, we picked up a couple of water bottles. We asked if we could pay at what looked like an open register. We were pointed to go to another location. At that second location, the cashier didn't say a word through the whole transaction. Not even respond to my greeting. Even when I said thank you. No response. I will most likely not be returning to this location. read more

Relatively new place and it is really nice. Came after dinner for gelato and coffee and did not disappoint. Their products are fresh, colorful and vibrant. The bread was fresh and crispy I had to buy a loaf it was so good looking. They have fresh pasta fresh prosciutto, sandwiches pizza and two restaurants along with a plethora of authentic Italian products on the shelves and a huge wine selection. I have previously been to the location in Chicago which was equally as impressive but bigger. This place did not disappoint definitely recommend recommended and will be back. read more

We arrived early enough that it wasn't crowded now that we're LV leaving several hour later - totally different story !! We had reservations at the bar seating in il Pastiacio (pasta restaurant) it was busy that we had to wait until our reservation was up. They're very good at respecting everyone's reservation times. Inside was awesome! The food looked extremely fresh. I wasn't able to try any of the restaurants but I will be returning to try. I purchased fresh truffle focaccia and it was out of this world delicious. I also purchased the fresh handmade pasta from the pasta counter and the worker was very kind and helpful. The new Eataly in Aventura is a food lover's dream. I have been waiting since they announced they were headed to south Florida for their arrival! The space is bright, beautifully designed, and filled with everything from fresh pasta and cheeses to imported Italian pantry staples. It's part market, part restaurant, and part experience -- you can grab a quick espresso, sit down for a meal, or browse for specialty ingredients to cook at home. I also heard they will be doing classes and activations. I was luck y enough to be invited to their opening party and got to try a little bit of all the food, including - pizza (2 ways!), cheeses including parmijano from a freshly opened wheel and burrata balls, gelatos (mango, chocolate and straziatella), different wines and even a caviar bump! Whether you're shopping, dining, or just curious, it's definitely worth a visit. A great new spot that brings a little slice of Italy to Aventura. Have been to several Eataly locations between Boston, Dallas, and Vegas and was so excited to finally get one close to us. The market feels like being a kid in a candy shop - so many beautiful things! Love that for dining there's both quick service and a sit down option. My husband and I did our shopping, got a small caviar/blini bite while shopping, and then went to the restaurant. Sebastian did a wonderful job orienting us to the options since neither of us had eaten in the Eataly restaurant before. We got a delicious pasta sample and a few appetizers. I've been an Eataly fan for years and was so excited to hear Aventura mall was getting one! I finally got around to visiting and it's a bit smaller than more Eataly's I've visited but still shares the same concept of Italian everything under the sun. We started off with a couple of slices from their pizzeria section. A zucchini slice and a potato slice. The staff was cold and rude in this area. The zucchini slice was pretty tasty and hardy. The potato was underwhelming and a bit stale. Both slices came out to $20 so it was pretty steep pricing. We walked around and got a couple of things from the market which was nice. Italian cookies, sweets and drinks. Before leaving we decided to get a coffee and some fresh sweets from their dolceria area. We got 4 tiny sweets that were $10, the coffee was $5. The coffee was okay, but a macchiato for $5 was a lot. I honestly hoped the sweets were good - as I got a variety but they were all not edible and sadly I tried them when I got home. The staff at the dolceria were also not very kind so it was disappointed to have two unfriendly interactions. They have a couple of restaurants on site/bar area so you have some other options. I'd only come back if I'm at the mall, but definitely wouldn't go out of my way for the rude stuff and overly priced goods. read more

Having visited this chain in Italy (where interestingly they are more a book store with a small cafe than a fantastic food/dining location) to the Flatiron Manhattan location (the biggest and my favorite location by far) to Dallas (also great), I'm a big fan of Eataly. So, it was with great anticipation that I heard they were opening a location at the Aventura Mall. Unfortunately, this location simply doesn't make the grade! Smaller than any of the other U.S. locations, it's noisy, crowded and somehow impersonal. We tried their restaurants and felt like we were shoved in and out like cattle. The food was great as usual but it couldn't overcome the cafeteria like and overbearing crowd noise atmosphere. Such a shame! We'll continue to visit the other Eataly's but sadly will cross this location off our list. read more

This place was awesome! We went on Saturday around 1pm and had lunch in the restaurant in the far back left of Eataly. Our waiter named Norman was excellent and treated us with such kindness. My mom got a slice of pizza from the front to go area and we were able to bring it in for my 1 year old to eat. We shared a caprese salad which was excellent - fresh tomato's and house made mozzarella. Also had the pasta with pomodoro sauce - so yummy! It was the perfect lunch sized portion for the two of us. Sunday 9/21/25 @12:45pm Exceeded my every expectation from the service, food choices and quality, wine list, ambience and atmosphere! It's definitely the "Disneyland for Foodie's!" The Counter at Eataly is first come first serve.. to my surprise there were 6 barstools at the far end that were available. I quickly took one and was warmly greeted by Wren! She was extremely attentive, friendly and knowledgeable. I love open kitchens and watching all the beautiful dishes being prepared! What a treat! I ordered my Pinot Grigio and a cup of ice. It came out quickly and was cold and crisp! I reviewed the menu and ordered the Gorgonzola, fig spread with walnuts and the focaccia and olive oil! What I love about eating at counters is the sense of community! Sharing thoughts on what we ordered and making suggestions! The focaccia was amazing! Light and fluffy! So much flavor! Definitely order it to share! Having it dipped in the olive oil with the fig spread and Gorgonzola was so delicious and filling! Truly a match made in heaven! I meant to ask which olive oil they served- I could have had a shot glass full ! It's sweet and smooth! Perfect for dipping! After reading a few challenging reviews from earlier in their opening days... I do believe they've successfully worked out whatever kinks they may have had! All the staff were friendly, engaging and helpful! I love this place! I do wish they would open a wine bar! What fun would that be! I fully enjoyed all aspects of my experience! We picked last Sunday late afternoon to go and we made our reservations one day ahead.. Eataly was packed but not uncomfortably so because they have been open for a couple of months or so. It's much more manageable to get around inside. The early opening crowds have died down and the employees were comfortable and knowledgeable in their positions. As you enter, you immediately see bright, inviting colors on the wall and lush plants in large pots. You begin to feel the energy. In front of you are an escalator as well as an elevator to take you up to the 2nd floor where all of the action is. The ambiance up there is lively, casual, and you feel like you have arrived at a market place somewhere in Italy. Shelves of fine Italian wine greet you. As you go past that, you enter into their market where you can purchase meats, pastas, sauces, prepared single serving bites, cheeses, breads, desserts, and other Italian goodies. All around the walls are small businesses selling gelato, coffee, bakery goods, and also the 2 restaurants, IL Pastaio and La Pizza & La Pala. The Italian food aroma throught Eataly will tickle your nose and you will be hungry immediately. To the left is La Pizzaa & La Pala restaurant and straight ahead and to the right is II Pastaio, where we went for dinner. Our dinner was fantastic, by the way. There are a lot of servers there and all were smiling and helpful from what I could see. Eataly is not a super large place so it is wise to make reservations because it is very popular. They have indoor dining only. Besides the regular dining area is also a larger balcony where guests were seated and it looked like you were outdoors. Also a lot of guests were having fun sitting at the counter at the bar watching the chefs performing their culinary skills. I would like to sit there next time. I was surprised to see that Eataly is dog and children friendly but that is a good thing. They do provide high chairs for the little ones. There is valet parking and regular free mall parking. This was a great addition to the old city place. I've been coming here for many years and to see what they've done in this area is OMG it's a hot area to live in and to shop and eat this restaurant is no exception they took an old historical building and made it in to a usable family and people oriented. We stopped by because we were going to Kravis to see a show and decided to get a light bite to eat, not aware that you could make reservation to eat in the restaurant where they have pizza and salad or the pasta restaurant although I must say they were quite pricey. We did end up having a piece of pizza which you can purchase. It was like $12 a slice pricey again but delicious. I had the mushroom one we also had a sandwich at the same area which was turkey and that also was very tasty and then I had to have a piece of dessert at their bakery, which was a ricotta cake, which was delicious. I will stop again when I'm in the area when I want a quick bite to eat the restaurants too as I mentioned earlier in this review tablecloth service this is definitely a place that you can get anything from gelato bakery, just like New York. read more

Love the concept and it's an Italian foodies dream! Love the market and the variety of items you can find and the quality looks amazing overall. Love the fresh pasta outlet, the meat outlet, cheese outlet and wine sections. You can find many appealing knick knacks, snacks, and treats all Italian. Great one stop shop for anything Italian. There's 2 restaurant at Eataly and reservations are a must. There's also a pizza shop and gelato shop and a bakery. Love the idea and it's amazing but I would suggest to let the hype die down as it can get crowded and crazy with not much room to move around and shop comfortably. The lines for the pizza shop and gelato were long and unorganized with no formal starting location. The good eats and products would be a 5 star for me as the gelato was on point. Creamy and perfect. The tiramisu from the market for my daughter was good but not great. But the experience unfortunately gave me a 3 overall. Gelato line was long as every customer saw why, as employees that were serving the gelato took their nice time scoping and scraping and shaping the gelato like they are forming an art sculpture. lol. It shouldn't take long to serve a couple scoops of gelato to a customer. What truly left a bad taste in my overall experience was the pizza outlet on how they served the slices of pizza. The pizzas looked amazing and seem a bit overpriced but from a hygiene standpoint, I've notice many people were served their slices and walked away and returned or was served in the line holding their pizza the entire time until reaching the register, then wanting to exchange the slice for another one and the employee would take the slice back and put it back on the counter to be served to another potential customer after exchanging the slice that's been in the hands of a customer. Poor service and hygiene as that should never happen. This happened on at least 3-4 occasions I've noticed while waiting. read more

I was in the Aventura mall and decided to stop by Eataly and give it a try. My mom and I waited for a spot at the bar for approximately 15 minutes and then we're able to sit for our turn. Once we sat, the waiter was very nice. Provided us a menu asked if it was our first time there we picked a couple items from the menu. We got bruschetta as an appetizer and two different pastas. The pastas were quite tasty a little more al dente than I'm used to and had a little bit of a twist to them. We ordered dessert and that was probably my favorite item of the meal. One of the coolest things at Eataly was that there was a chef preparing one of the stuffed pastas right in front of you. It was really nice to get to see that first hand. The one negative thing I do have to say is that I did find the prices to be a little too expensive, especially for the portions and that this is basically a food market at a mall. I would go back to the food market, but I don't think that I would go back to sit and eat because it was a little too expensive for my preference. read more

I'm not sure why this location is much more smaller(or at least it looks so) than its sister locations in NYC and LA where real state is supposed to be more expensive than in Miami. The experience might get more pleasant as the hype dissipates and their traffic comes down. What I experienced was like the one at one of those busy souvenir shops located at the exit of a popular touristic attraction. It was a mad house with employees looking overwhelmed. Even the Las Vegas location which is located within a casino, is more spacious and less crowded. As for the offerings, it's just another Eataly location with overpriced made in Italy products such as pasta, oil and cheeses. While they have some niche products that are hard to find unless you go to an Italian market, a portion of the items can be purchased at Whole Foods for instance, and yes they have similar quality, also made in Italy and at a much cheaper price. Also, how is it possible the escalator is broken after only 3 days following the grand opening? I will come back to try one of the restaurants next time. read more

Finally we an Eataly in Miami. It's located in Aventura Mall which is super nice. The actual place is smaller than the ones from Chicago but the food is amazing. There's a ton of selections between wine, pizza, pasta, coffee, desserts etc. you have the option to buy to take home or the option to dine in. I highly recommend to reserve a table if you want to dine in. We got lucky on a Sunday for lunch and got a table without reservations. We tried their pizza which was amazing. Very similar to the one we hate in Italy. The wine was really good and the highlight was their tiramisu. The best I've ever had. I'm going to post a picture and video so you can see how the cream on top just oozes down. Delicious. We ended up getting prosciutto on the way out from the deli area. Super fresh. Located in Aventura Mall, this two story upscale Italian supermarket, restaurant, cooking school, is actually small compared to other locations like New York, Chicago, Rome. The first floor is where their cooking classes are held and upstairs is a combination of supermarket and Italian food court. The second floor also has two restaurants: La Pizza & La Pasta, featuring Napoli style pizza and artisanal pizza; and Il Pastaio, featuring Italian pasta dishes. We ate at La Pizza & La Pasta, at the bar. Service was very good and the food was delicious. The lemonade was tart but not too much and instead of Coke Zero, they had Mole Cola. The focaccia Bianca is a small bite but very tasty. It is made with extra virgin olive oil, and rosemary. The Bucatini cacio e pepe was delicious with freshly ground pepper and pecorino Romano cheese. The Diavole Dolce pizza was really good as well. It had mozzarella, spicy salami, basil and hot spicy honey. Our server recommended the Amalfi as a dessert and she was on point!! It's basically a limoncello syrup soaked sponge cake with cookies and meringue flames. We saw that they have a private room for bigger groups so we will definitely look into that for special celebrations read more

The whole of Miami has been waiting eagerly for Eataly to open an outpost in S Florida. We are so happy we can finally boast that we have one here, where we can take a little trip to Italy without the flight. I totally love their grocery selection, many types of pasta, sauces, deli cut, cheeses and more that are hard to find elsewhere. Yes, price is slightly higher, but while they have $10 a box pasta (and even more for fresh), there are also some around $3, as well as gluten free options. They have pistachio cream which is so delicious. As a cheese lover, I love the variety they offer. You want parmesan? Yes of course they offer Parmigiano Reggiano. And not just one variety. They have it from red cow's milk, aged 18 months, 24 months, 36 months... or grana padano to be budget-friendly. Their selection of American artisanal cheese is excellent as well. And their bread - the focaccia is so pillowy. The pizza looks really beautiful, though definitely pricey. We tried the gelato but the flavor was just meh. Neither the mango or the pistachio tasted vibrant. It's definitely worth a visit. I think some people will love it and be regulars, some will find everything overpriced and won't return. For me, I probably will be here once in a while to stock up on quality products I can't find elsewhere. read more

This place is so vast I can't even properly describe it. There is a restaurant, bar, cafe, bakery, and a market with fresh produce. There are many imported items such as drinks and other food products from Italy here. I honestly didn't know where to begin. The place can feel so tight when there are lots of people here. I dined here and ordered a few items to try. I ordered a pasta that's prepared in a cheese wheel. Flavor was a good and sharp but got cold so quick! It was something I brought to the attention of my server and I was told that's a common complaint they receive from customers and for that I received a coupon to use as a discount from the manager on a future visit (I already paid prior to speaking to the mananger who was welcoming of feedback since they've been open for a few months). Our server took a little longer than expected to bring few items such as salt/napkins. He walked by a few times before he realized he didn't bring what was requested. The pizza was hands down fresh and excellent. I would return for the pizza for sure. We also had complimentary dessert and coffee. I definitely reccommend the tiramisu! The presentation was like a show. The way it unfolded right before our eyes was spectacular. There are only 2 restrooms in the restaurant and there was quite a wait. I would return although my star rating is 3. I think there are lots of room for improvements. One thing I noticed is that some of the staff appear to be under lots of pressure from their higher ups and it made the environment a little uneasy to witness a few things take place between staff. Definitely try their gelato and next time I may grab a few of their prepared meals home. I also ordered fresh shaved truffle on my pasta that had ZERO flavor. I was told the white truffle has flavor but that it's super expensive. Honestly, I was offended and upset the server didn't even mention this to me. I would have ordered the white truffle! Up on the 3rd floor near both the valet parking entrance and Nordstrom's is this new elite Italian eatery/marketplace that I will be coming back to regularly. First, let's talk about the market. All around the space are sections like a pasta station where you can get seafood stuffed raviolis or just the various noodles and shells--all freshly made that day. Take them home and extend your Eataly experience for a few days beyond your visit. They also have a butcher shop with top quality cuts. There are standing fridges throughout with freshly packaged cold cuts like pork loin and porchetta, and prepared foods and desserts. There's a wine section with an extensive selection of Italian wines and spirits. Also, if you look through the shelves around the market you'll find packaged foods directly from Italy, complete with Italian language packaging. Their employees are very attentive and professional, so ask questions for the best experience. I also found the hostess for the sit-down restaurants to be very friendly. The bread situation here is special. Look all around and you'll see things like freshly made bread loaves you can buy whole, or sliced focaccia, and focaccia sandwiches. There's a standout Roman-style pizza section that's your best bet if you just want to grab a slice or a sandwich and eat it at one of the tables around the exterior part of Eataly, which is a very nice option. However, there are sit down eateries inside, and one s-shaped bar area. They really thought of everything. See my pictures and video upload for a better idea. Wow wow wow!! First and foremost it's opening weekend for these guys and they have done an AMAZING job!! I showed up at the thick of it, 1pm on a Saturday afternoon. By the grace of god I found a parking right away at the main front parking lot and walked right in. It was packed!!! I was in a mood for some bubbles and a savory bite. The bar areas are perfect for this. There was what appeared to be a long wait, you need to always check in with the hosts at all restaurants and the pasta bar. One of the restaurants has a self service bar, this is the one closest to the check out area. The wait was not that long it gave me time to walk around and get more familiar. During this time I had a chance to sample some goodies! After 37 mins I was seated right in front of the pasta maker. They greeted me with a complimentary Prosecco (to celebrate the opening) and my journey began. I had the Focaccia Cacio e Pepe, Ravioli allá Nerano, 2 glasses of sparkling rose and closed it with a few bites of their legendary Tiramisu. I honestly did not know what to expect. This place has average service at best, unfortunately the food quality is not great, taste is bland, a bit pretentious. Ambiance is ok, felt like a chain restaurant but with higher prices and its respective consequences. If you only want to eat bread and pasta then it is a choice, but not the best one. Ordered the bolognese, the branzino and the beef stew. Not of those was really good. I can say there are much better options in the area. read more

Eataly Aventura is a solid 4-star spot for South Florida. If you've been to Eataly NYC Flatiron, you'll notice right away this one is smaller and doesn't quite have that same "wow" factor but it still hits the spot. Food-wise, everything we had was good. The pasta was fresh and well executed, and the pizza had that nice chew with quality ingredients. Not mind-blowing, but definitely satisfying and consistent. It feels like a reliable place when you're craving Italian without taking a gamble. Service was actually one of the highlights. Staff was friendly, attentive, and didn't rush us, which made the whole experience more enjoyable. You can tell they're trying to keep things polished even when it gets busy. Atmosphere is nice (clean, modern, and lively) but it leans more toward a mall dining experience than the immersive Italian marketplace vibe you get in NYC. Still, it's a great place to meet friends or grab a casual but elevated meal. Bottom line: a really good option for Aventura, just don't go in expecting the full NYC Eataly experience and you'll leave happy. Bon Appetit. read more

Was looking forward to visiting Eataly Aventura with my family. We had reservations at La Pizza & La Pasta and had no wait to get seated. Our waiter was pleasant and made some recommendations. Unfortunately the martini we ordered was not prepared correctly, but our waiter apologized and quickly brought the replacement. The dishes were ok, but not what you would expect at that price point. Our water glasses went dry, and I had to ask for refills. After dinner we ventured to the market. We waited at least 15 minutes for someone to acknowledge us at the gelato shop (we were the only ones in line). The same for the coffee stand. I couldn't find a manager anywhere in the store to point this out to. The entire experience was underwhelming and I would only return to the market perhaps, which was well stocked with some of my favorites. read more

Eataly is a vibrant hybrid of Italian market and restaurant where you can sit down for a full dinner, browse imported goods, or grab a slice of pizza and gelato to enjoy on their outdoor tables. But before you go, take this review with a grain of salt--I visited during opening month, and as expected, chaos reigned. Reservation Tip: Don't go without a reservation. Both of the main restaurants are reservation-only (for now), and walk-ins were being turned away. This might change once the initial buzz settles, but as of now, plan ahead. The Experience: Let's just say the crowds made everything feel a bit disorganized, and while that's understandable for a grand opening, it did affect my overall visit. Still, I'll focus on what I actually tried. Pizza Bar: Service? Disappointing. I ordered two slices and only received one. The staff seemed overwhelmed, and no clear ordering or pickup system was in place. The slice I did get was cold straight out of the oven, which leads me to believe they're rushing to meet demand. Taste-wise? It was fine, nothing memorable. Gelato Stand: I waited 10 minutes just to pay. By the time the transaction went through, I had already finished my ice cream. Again, not entirely the staff's fault--just a system issue. That said, the gelato itself earns a solid 7/10. Desserts: I tried the Tiramisu Fiesta, which comes with three flavors: pistachio, classic, and caramel. The caramel was outstanding, pistachio wasn't for me, and my grandmother polished off the classic without complaints. But the standout winner? A pastry made with rum (I didn't catch the name)--absolutely phenomenal. Out of everything I tried, it was hands-down my favorite. Final Thoughts: I'll be back--but not until things calm down. The space is gorgeous and the concept is exciting, but the current lack of structure and staffing made for a frustrating experience.
