Spent the morning in Larchmont walking around enjoying the farmers market and the local small community. We stopped off at this old school coffee shop/diner for some breakfast. We sat outside on the sidewalk. The waitress was fast and friendly, checked in with us often and all around provided excellent customer service... About half of the people who came in she knew byname the Restaurant was bustling, but the staff were still taking time for little extras- like making a single serving of green iced tea for us. The food was good, we serve very quickly and was hot when we got it. We will definitely be back to enjoy this little local spot. read more

This is a Great place. I expected a rather pricey place with small portions but I was surprised. Basically it's a small place and I felt like I was transported in the 70s to a great breakfast and lunch spot. And especially Larchmont I was expecting prices to be 50 to 75% higher. And also the staff was great and explained everything. The plates were overflowing. Now it Not the best food but it's good. I had a Belgian waffle , I guess it's a commercial mix not homemade, and also the syrup was commercial grade syrup not maple syrup. But basically it's a good place in a nice neighborhood so I guess it's a post for me. read more

Rip off will never order again. On their menu, they advertise a Ham Egg and cheese priced at 4.95. Well, when it arrived here it was $8.00 ( that's with tax) why you ask. Well, it's called a bait and switch because I asked for egg whites instead of whole eggs and the chick who took the order charged me for an egg white sandwich $3.95 and charged me for the ham $1.75 and the cheese $1.25. Talk about thirsty. then my co-workers ordered omelets that consisted of vegetables and cheese but they didn't want mozzarella cheese and opted for Feta cheese. Well, of course, the courteous woman ( insert sarcasm) told us that there were no substitutions so they charged them $15.00 for a subpar omelet with feta cheese. Do yourself a favor don't patronize this place you will walk out with a $100.00 bill for a coffee and a muffin and please don't ask for butter you may have to give up your firstborn. read more

A real local place with amazing coffee. Small place that all the locals go to on a weekend so it gets a little busy. The lovely ladies still attend to you quickly and the food is fast and great. I have had almost every breakfast special and haven't been disappointed yet. They also bake their own muffins right on premises so they are fresh and delicious. Did I mention the coffee is amazing?! Come enjoy a great diner meal and you might have a little wait for your check but it's all worth it. Just have another cup while you wait. I love harbor house & will continue to support this local business. I've had many things from here. The pancakes are always cooked to perfection and are golden brown and fluffy. My favorite menu item is a simple bacon egg and cheese on a croissant, the bacon is always perfectly crisp & it has never disappointed. read more

My favorite cozy little diner in Larchmont. AMAZING wonderful devoted staff, the food always just hits the spot. Lovely little atmosphere and perfect for a day in town (they're basically the only restaurant on that side of town!) A classic 50's style coffee shop, long counter a few booths (I think 4, but not sure), pies in the refrigerated case. I';m sure you've been to one. If not, just watch any movie from the 40's through the 60's. I've had breakfast inside a couple of times but most often I get something to go. Service is always polite and food comes out fairly quickly. Like I said, it's been only breakfast for me and it's been fine. Couldn't bring myself to give 4 or 5 stars, but who knows, maybe one day I'll have one of those fancy lunches and up my rating. read more

This is by far my favorite spot in Larchmont. Delicious food, great service, and the perfect diner atmosphere. My husband and I have made this our regular Sunday morning breakfast spot and it has never disappointed! I love the corned beef hash or waffle, and my husband recommends the Big Man wrap. read more

The food is decent and cheap, but some dishes may be a bit too greasy for some. The wait staff might seem a bit distracted, but once you get too know them they'll chat if they can. The Harbour House is a nice place to have that classic diner atmosphere. Harbour House is known as a landmark to locals. The staff are friendly and comforting. The place is small and tight. It has a limit of a 35 person seating. The food is cheap and can be pretty decent. Especially the breakfast deals. The food quality can be a little disappointing at times but its something I expect from local small diners like these. The service is fast and the people are polite. I've delivered with Doordash for this shop on September 5 this particular shop rub me the wrong way completely. Their waitress with the Dark hair (one only other elder female that works there) treatment was completely deplorable and unprofessional. When going about ordering the waitress finally brought the food to me however I expressed that the multi additional cost for each item to have separate prices confused me so I wanted to go about removing one of the items and I just got nothing but complete dismissive and anger response. Yelling "Oh my God" as if I was troubling her. She almost charged my card for someone else's food in the mist of her clouded frantic rude behavior towards me. Have only had the opportunity so far to stop in for a coffee which was great, especially if you're trying to avoid overpriced sugar coffees from Starbucks. With that being said. This is definitely a true coffee shop. It's no-frills, fast service, and the food hits the spot. I always tend to get the same thing: an egg, bacon and cheese sandwich on an english muffin. This never disappoints and the quality is always the same. My kids love the pancakes, which I might consider getting if I weren't so addicted to the egg sandwich. Pretty much all of their breakfast offerings are very solid. In fact they are so good we haven't ventured away from breakfast at all. Love that they remember you and what you order. If you come here on a weekday morning all the regulars are greeted by name and they know just what they want. Did I mention the turnaround for an order is FAST? It's fantastic for if you don't have much time, but if you want to sit and read the paper with a cup of coffee they certainly don't rush you out the door. When I was growing up, this place was always PACKED TO THE GILLS. You can sit in a booth, or on a stool at the counter. The waitress there has been working there for as long as I can remember. The service is pretty good. The one thing that is remarkable is the Bacon, and Fried Egg Sandwich. It comes on a Kaiser, it is extreemely simply, but it is the best I have ever eaten.
