Black owned business They advertise seaZoned food. Most of what we ate was very flavorful. The only thing that was kind of lacking was the fried okra. Still, it's a treat to find it on menus these days. They have limited indoor, but plenty of outside seating in front on the patio and under umbrellas. In back there is a larger covered patio with tv. The staff is friendly. The servers did not wear a mask. The decor has an island theme, but the menu includes a little of everything. We will def return the next time we're in town. Be advised that food is cooked to order. You will wait, but it's a nice environment to chillax. Their homemade lemonade didn't disappoint. read more

We sat outside on a warm February afternoon and had the empanadas as an appetizer, then the wifey had the salmon burger and I had the Philly cheese steak. We were driving through Pine Mountain and randomly stopped at EatZ around 3pm on a Saturday. The restaurant is so cute and super clean. Our sever, Amanda was so knowledgeable about the menu and ensured everything was perfect before we had to ask for anything. The food was phenomenal. The fried grouper and sunrise burger were our choices. Both were cooked perfectly and the taste was as good as any place I have been anywhere. My side was the collard greens. These were by far the best I have ever had anywhere! EatZ is a must stop location if you are anywhere near. Do plan on some time there. Visiting Callaway Gardens and wanted to get off property to try something more local. EatZ was a great lunch spot as variety of Jamaican inspired dishes which was a surprise to us. I had chicken curry which had great flavor with yellow rice, wife had a burger, kids had grouper sandwich and kids slider burger. I was SO excited to try this place once I saw it had vegan options. I got a veggie burger to go and was sadly very disappointed. I don't know if it's because I ordered to go, but the burger was burnt and was very dry. For $15, it was very skimpy. I did order without the cheese, so maybe the cheese adds something very special that I took off. The only reason I gave 3 stars was because I'm happy to have veggie options in Calloway, and hope they continue to provide these options. I would not eat this again and would not recommend this meal to anyone (maybe if it was $10 or less). Also, if you are being careful and following COVID precautions, DO NOT plan on eating here on a Saturday night. I walked in to pick up my order at 5:50pm and it was packed. They were definitely not following regulations. My family comes to Calloway every Christmas, so next year I will be back to try something new. I hope to have a positive update! read more

Wife and I chose this place because it had a lot of good reviews. Tried a few things for some variety. The conch fritters tasted like they were either a little over cooked, or cooked in oil that was way past its prime. The sweet dipping sauce was good. Went a long way to help with the flavor. Couldn't taste much of the conch. Got some steamed cabbage and hushpuppies for a few sides and they were both very good. The hushpuppies were kind of small, like large marbles. Great flavor and texture though. For the main, we ordered the shrimp and grits. Disappointing dish. Came to the table at almost room temp. Liked the bacon bits and the shrimp had a good flavor and had been cooked well, but again...room temp. Hot food needs to be served hot. Another issue was with the grits. Good texture, but again, barely warm. They had put cheese in the grits, as stated on the menu, but they had a very bleu cheese flair that was very unsatisfying. The server could not tell us what kind of cheese had been used. Servers were not very friendly by the way. Would not suggest the shrimp and grits at all...conch fritters either. Cabbage and hush puppies were good. Looked like there were some other items on the menu that might be good, but an underwhelming, and overly expensive meal will having us trying other places first. Not a good experience and a poor value for what gets served. Not recommended. read more

We stopped in for a late lunch after our hike at FDR state park. We arrived after 3. When we got here the tables weren't full, but overtime the restaurant filled up and they had a back patio to provide more seating. The special today was ribeye and three from our party ordered that. The meat was delicious and so flavorful! I had the calypso salmon and my daughter had kids chicken tenders and fries. Absolutely everything was delicious! For desert we enjoyed strawberry cake, my daughters choice. After some discussion we decided the adults needed to have the apple cream bomb and holy cow! It was devoured within minutes!
