Small spot, massive portions! The ramen bowls here are huge, so definitely come hungry. While the food is good rather than mind-blowing, you get incredible bang for your buck. Their lunch combo is an especially fantastic deal- expect to take leftovers home. Service was quick and pleasant, and with plenty of parking, it's a perfect, hassle-free spot for a casual meal with friends.

Sunday @ 11:30 am. It's been a while since my last visit, and as soon as I walked in, I noticed none of the old chefs seemed to be around anymore. We ordered 4 bowls of ramen, but when they arrived, they looked nothing like authentic Japanese ramen. The chashu pork wasn't even sliced; it looked like they took just one single slice of pork and chopped it up into tiny, broken bits. To top it off, the egg didn't look like a proper Japanese ramen egg at all--it was basically just a chalky, overcooked hard-boiled egg. The broth also completely lacked that rich, traditional ramen flavor. To make matters worse, even the simplest side dish--the gyoza (pan-fried dumplings)--was absolutely terrible and tasteless. Honestly, the frozen dumplings I buy at the grocery store taste better than this. This place is officially on my blacklist. The only reason they got one star is for the attentive service.

Very good and generous portion. Forgot the name.

Great service and very friendly servers. Very generous portions and we tried four different ramens and everyone loved it.

I wish I took more pictures of the food but this better was so refreshing it's part of the Asahi beers.

Such a good find on a late night, this place was open at 1am perfect for after a night out. Food was affordable and delicious with plenty to choose from. Service and vibe were welcoming,I'll be going back for sure!

We love Eboshi. We have been regular customers for maybe a couple of years now. This review is long overdue. We love the food, the people and the ambience. The food quality is very good and it tastes like home cooked meal. The service is superb and they are very kind to our dog. We usually dine all fresco and it's perfect for us. Give them a try, you will not be disappointed.

Second time here and the food was consistent. Loved how simple the ramen is and the pork that's in it isn't fatty. The noodles are perfectly al dente and there's good pricing on the combos. I got the me tonight with fried rice and it's delicious. I always have leftovers to take home. Service is good and on busier nights the food can take a bit longer to come out.

Came on a rainy saturday night! At the corner of lomita and pennsylvania ave tucked in a plaza across from the arco gas station is this busy little ramen spot. There is parking. Considering the storm that was happening this spot was still packed! It was just the 2 of us so we sat at the counter top Service was great and prompt. They have a huge selection to choose from this place has a variety of "small plates" to ramens to fried noodle dishes and even rice dishes. I was amazed by their small plate/appetizer selection and felt kinda of lame choosing the typical gyoza lol i will definitely try other dishes next time. But the gyoza was great! Came steamed with a little grilled action I ordered their Negi Miso ramen Stir fried green onion and chashu pork miso ramen. And my friend ordered the Eboshi vegan ramen House special veggie broth miso flavor with spinach noodles and assorted veggies. Also ordered a sprite and the bill only came out to about $46! I love a place where its busy usually means the food is FLAVOR! And it was thank you Eboshi! I highly recommend

Great friendly service parking lot is a little small because they do get crowded at lunchtime and dinner times great lunch specials and side orders menu is very diverse for a Ramen bar. Nice alcohol situation. They have many types, including beer great friendly little restaurant for your Japanese Ramen and side dishes needs.

I love a place that lets you customize your ramen pretty well and here you definitely can. Your noodle firmness, toppings and add ons, seasonings, etc. Black Garlic: Get! I used to frequent shin sen gumi regularly but the lines are always outrageous there. Hakata Ikkousha doesn't have lines, at least the times I've been and the ramen is just as good as sin sen gumi. My family and I love to frequent here because we know what to expect. I will say on my latest visit, the ambiance was not it. Why? Well, because while everything else was on par, the music selection was highly inappropriate for a restaurant. Tupac's unedited Hit 'em Up was playing loud as we sat and ate, i had my kids with me. Look, I'm by no means a snowflake and hyper-sensitive to profanity-laced music, but this was completely unexpected at a family-friendly restaurant. I still plan to eat here in the future, but I just wasn't feeling the vibes during the last visit.

We walked in right on time for our reservation (because we're adults who respect the space-time continuum) and were ushered into a booth with "privatey" curtains. I'm not saying they'd hide you from the FBI, but they certainly provided enough cover for us to giggle and navigate stupidly through the menu. You can also order directly to a friendly human too. The atmosphere is colorful, lively, unstuffy, and private enough to enjoy good convo but not awko quiet. You order everything via an iPad, which is dangerous because when pictures of gyoza are staring you in the face, your impulse control vanishes. We ordered "a little bit of everything," which is code for "the table was structurally compromised by the weight of our dinner." * The Highlights: The pickled cucumbers (crisp enough to hear in the next county), the pork bowl, and sushi that actually tasted like it came from the ocean. The Fluids: Cold Asahi and Lemon Chu-His. Highly recommended if you enjoy being happy. The Verdict This spot is a unicorn--it works for kids, first dates, or "290th dates" where you both just want to stare at an iPad and eat kimchi in a tent. The Heartbreak They have a "10-Second Hit It" game at the front door where you can win a free meal. We were this close. We didn't win, but we're definitely going back to seek revenge.

Wife got the tonkotsu. Asked for adding spice to level 3. Very rich broth, and plentiful toppings. The chashu was VERY thick. Standard ramen noodles in this one. I opted for the shisen black. Noodles are little different in this one, but still fantastic. It's similar to a higher quality version of Korean ramyun as far as its thickness, and was quite chewy like an egg noodle. The original shisen ramen was pretty good, I did like how it had vegetables in it. I did wish it had meat though (only had tiny pieces of pork). The broth was very light and the noodles were good. If don't prefer a creamy broth you will probably like this. The black shisen ramen was ok, I wish the garlic taste was stronger. The red shisen ramen (level 1) was pretty good but it was spicy (I do not tolerate spice that well) do beware of that! The chasu was also pretty good, it was a little sweet. The miso tonkotsu tsukemen was ok. The noodles were a bit undercooked (in my opinion), and the broth was very rich. The rich miso ramen was (as it is called) very rich. Definitely would need to drink a lot of water if I ate the whole thing. But the broth has a good flavor. It has the same noodles as the tsukemen (so again a little undercooked imo). Our server was super nice, and it is a clean small establishment. Overall not bad, would be down to try again if I am in the area

The blend of fish sauce with lime juice was refreshingly tangy and slightly sweet. We just wished there were more than two shrimps in the salad. House Noodle with Seafood (Flat Noodle): The broth was clear, light and umami. The flat noodles had a very nice texture and the portion was generous. The fish fillets, shrimp, and mussels were pleasantly fresh. Kra Paw over Rice w/ Fried Egg: The ground pork was well seasoned and paired nicely with the perfectly cooked white rice. The sauteed onion slices provided a lovely aroma and subtle sweetness. The runny fried egg on top gave a nice accent and extra flavor. Yen Tao Fo: Visually, the whole dish is pinker than a Barbie room. The broth with fermented tofu curd and chili sauce was quite exquisite and polarizing: spicy, sweet, and tangy.
