They did add a surcharge because I asked for half tabbouleh half Greek salad, but both were incredibly fresh and the Greek salad especially was one of the better ones I've had at a food court. Unfortunately, the rice was seasoned like Spanish rice (with celery/carrots) and didn't taste like any of the Greek-style rices I've had. I threw away 99% of it, which was disappointing since the rice is a significant portion of the $23 combo and my usual favorite part of a meal. The food itself was decent. I got the lamb kebab plate which came with pretty flavorful juicy lamb chunks. Some of them were super chewy, while some were really tender. The rice looked like Spanish rice but didn't have any flavor and was a little on the mushy side. The yogurt sauce, pita bread, and salad were good, pretty hard to mess those up. Overall the place is okay. A good choice if you're looking for convenience at the crossroads mall, but not worth coming here just for Mediterranean food. read more

It came with tomato rice pilaf. The dolma was tasty. The eggplant was just a crosscut slice of an eggplant, dry and tasteless. The hummus was good but the pita bread was very dry. This gyro shop in the food court of the Crossroads mall is truly disappointing. I do not recommend eating there. I came to the mall so my son could get sushi (our usual place was closed between lunch and dinner). It was about 4pm and the food court was quiet. While my son waited for his sushi, I wandered over to Ebru and was met with a very pleasant man who asked for my order. I decided to order the lamb gyro, without onions, in a combo plate with fries and an 8 ounce drink. I asked about drink refills and he told me it would be 50 cents. That's fine. I payed and sat down to wait. Just after my son arrived with the sushi, my plate was ready. So far so good. The shopkeeper even gave me a refill on my soda for free. However, when it came time to eat, the disappointment started. First, the minor thing: the sandwich had onions, which I had asked it not to have. Okay. I picked them off. But then I bit in. The pita bread was brittle and immediately started to break apart, and the lamb was not sliced off a vertical skewer like normal gyros, but rather was formed from ground meat, with no spice at all. This was a truly unpleasant gyro. I was hungry so I ate it, but when I went to refill the soda, he charged $2.50. So much for the 50 cent refills. I did not enjoy my meal. read more

I ordered a kebab combo plate, and while the lady serving me was kind, the food itself was absolutely awful. The portion size was disappointingly small, and the meat was completely flavorless, overly moist, and had a strange squishy texture--almost like it had been boiled. To make things worse, the inside of the lamb was still raw. As a student on a business trip, I was excited to try food that reminded me of home, especially since it's hard to find in my not-so-diverse city. Unfortunately, this meal was such a disappointment that I had to throw away $20 worth of inedible food. Truly disappointing. The dip wasn't good; everything was lacking in flavor (except the tryosalad which was too much salt). I got this because I was craving baba ganoush but I was disappointed by the 1/2 plate of hummus and 1/4 of everything else. The pita was the size of the plate and we were unable to tear it apart. I am not a fan of the food court at Crossroads. Though their pricing may seem good, I have found that the food portions are a bit small and the quality is not as good as a regular food eatery. The only place that I really enjoy at Crossroads is Chipotle. Though I am not a fan, I do occasionally eat at the food court due to its close proximity to my home. I recently tried Greek Express which I enjoyed and decided to revisit Ebru to see how it compared. Comparing the two, it is no contest that Greek Express is the better place to go. Still, I do have to say Ebru is one of the better eateries in the food court though the Yelp review score says otherwise. Though only if you are not rating it as a Mediterranean place. If you are, then this place would be considered terrible in comparison. Though as just food, I found it be okay. Acceptable in portions, price and taste. I had a sampler plate which consisted of two kabobs, rice, hummus, pita bread, a salad, a piece of eggplant and a dolma. I got a chicken and lamb kabob. The lamb portion is smaller than what they give you for chicken. I found both kabobs to be pretty fair. The kabobs along with the hummus were the two things that I liked most about the plate. Everything else was average. Though I will say the rice is not authentic at all. They use long grain white rice that looks like Uncle Ben's instead of the yellow (saffron?) rice that you see elsewhere. Despite the criticism, I would say Ebru is okay. It is one of the better places of a mediocre food court if you happen to visit Crossroads and are hungry. Though if you are looking specifically for Mediterranean fare, I would say to look elsewhere. read more

This is my all time favorite Mediterranean place. Their menu is varied, and everything I've had has been great. Love their combo plates , salads, and their daily specials. They sometimes have stuffed eggplant, which I haven't been able to find at some other places. My favorite is the salad trio; it's surprisingly filling, and the salads are fresh. The pita bread was very good, as was the SINGLE dolma (rice inside a grape leaf). The salad was also good What did NOT work: The two skewers of vegetables were grossly undercooked, and not appealing. The taboli had mint in it, but I can't taste it nor can I taste lemon flavor. The couscous and humus was likewise b-l-a-n-d. The falafel and Tahini was also plain. I suspect they made the food 2 or 3 days ago. It lacks flavor and it is all dry. This is the worst Mediterranean place I've been to, and I've been to a lot. Wow I hope it hasn't been this bad that long, because if it has been, then a lot of people buy here abd get ripped off and hopefully like me, will never come back. It was okay; they put it on a plate for me, skewered it with toothpicks, and served it with some vegetables on the side. I had the worst chicken gyro I have ever had. And I have been to many gyro places in the area and can recommend good ones, so no one frequents this place. The pita was super dry and fell apart on my first bite. The chicken tasted very old, and I spit it out and my dog ate it. The yogurt sauce was on the side, so you had to pour it on top. It was just super odd and horrible tasting. I ordered the "tabbouleh" which I put in quotes because I was super excited to have tabbouleh and it was awful tasting and very strong parsely taste. Never had parsley tabbouleh. So that also went in the garbage. Complete waste of $10. Only good thing was the nice person at the counter, but I got the feeling the food area was not very clean, can't verify it, but that's my hunch. He made the food way in the back out of view of customers. Try Greek Pita in Factoria or Aladdin Falafel Corner on the Ave in Seattle. Had the lamb gyro plate with fries. The lamb gyro was made with lamb kebabs rather than regular gyro meat. This was a surprising upgrade, but it was pretty bland and flavorless. My sister in law had the beef gyro sandwich made with beef kebabs. Her sandwich was also pretty tasteless. Overall pretty mediocre, but typical for food court food. I eat a lot of vegetarian meals, but it's not often I am thrilled by a vegan entree. The Classic Turkish Stuffed Eggplant is absolutely scrumptious, and the stuffing is roasted vegetables and herbs.
