Its always good when i find good local places from the area i am from and Eccoti is definitely one of those! I remember growing up in this area of Goochland County always wishing there where more food options around. Especially stuff on the scale of Eccoti. The restaurant has a small town vibe to it with modern touches inside. Was greeted by a friendly hostess/waitress and was taken to my seat. There menu has a good assortment of stuff on it but i was there for lunch and wanted to try a a sandwich. I ended up getting the fried flounder sandwich and sidewinder fries. Everything was great the flounder had a good batter on it and the sandwich was well put together. The only thing i wish that i got more side winder fries. Those where really good but gone before i knew it lol. I really recommend this place even if you not in the Goochland area its worth a short drive from wherever you are. read more

Sad to continue to see this place going downhill. I love garlic but not in the bottom of my water glass. We had to flag down a server to please come and take our orders. Both orders were wrong. Fries were raw in the middle. Not making the monthly trek from Richmond to come back. read more

This was our first time coming here and wow, it did not disappoint. The food was amazing! The owners are some of the nicest people you will ever meet. Super clean and the vibe is upscale, but relaxing. The French dip I got was hands down the best I've ever had. The meat was extremely tender. I also took a bite of my husband's burger and the combination of what comes on the banger burger is to die for. Our 4 year old son raved about the banger shrimp. The lemon cake was phenomenal. Cute little spot in Goochland. Stopped here with my mom on the way back from some wineries. The wait staff were very friendly and quick with beverages. I had the salmon farfalle pasta and my mother had the gnocchi. Mom's gnocchi was missing some needed basil which the server was happy to bring out. Helped round out the flavor of the dish. My salmon pasta was very tasty. One minor improvement would be bigger pieces of salmon in it. The menu has a nice range of options at reasonable prices. The decor is simple rustic. We had the Portobello and porchini risotto. It was amazing. Good balance of mushrooms to risotto. The bloody Mary was also nice and spicy. The fried green tomatoes had a great crunch, I don't know what the sauce was but it was phenomenal. Not a lot of people in the dining area and the service was great. Very friendly staff. Ordered the cheesecake and the lemon cream cake. The cheesecake was wonderful but the winner was definitely the lemon cream cake. The scoop of ice cream was one of the cutest things I've seen in a long time. read more

The Mrs. and I ended up accidentally going through Goochland last night and found ourselves very hungry. We pulled into a small shopping area with several restaurants. We chose Eccoti because the menu looked "different". We were NOT disappointed. My wife had the gnocchi and absolutely loved it. Little potato dumplings in a flavorful red sauce and lots of cheese (she LOVES cheese). I had the risotto with scallops and shrimp. The seafood was perfectly cooked, the rice was creamy and full of flavor. This was the best restaurant meal that I have had in a long time. The restaurant was clean and the service was impeccable. My only regret was that we did not have desert. The offerings on the menu looked delicious. We will find a way to get "lost" again and stop at Ecotti to try the rest of their menu. read more

Eccoti seems to be a great addition to the Goochland dining scene. It's great for when you want to eat out at a more elevated spot than, say, Hardee's. Every dish I have tried from Eccoti has been delicious. The prices are comparable to a Baker's Crust or Panera. Not cheap, but not super expensive. I have only gotten take out here, so I cannot speak to the service or ambience, but they've always gotten my orders correct. Definitely give Eccoti a try, and make sure you save room for the Lemon Cream Cake! read more

My fiancé & I are pretty new to this area so we decided to try this place out. The inside of the restaurant was very nicely decorated & clean. We both ordered gyros. They were delicious as were the fries. I got a salad with mine which was also very good. We ended with a chocolate torte which we devoured. The price was very reasonable & the service was great. We were greeted and seated as soon as we walked into the restaurant. The server took our beverage order. When she came back we asked for menu recommendations. She proudly told us about the new items on the menu. She went on to serve other tables. For the next 15 minutes we watched as she seated and served other tables but she never returned to take our order. She looked at us several times but never again did she approach the table. Yum! We were on our way back from Charlottesville and found this little gem. The head chef is Sicilian trained and the menu is strong in southern Italian and American staples. We had the salmon w/ spinach risotto and eccoti burger. The food was great w/ a small but mighty wine list. Grab a glass of the Beckon Pinot Noir. This is one of my favs! Eccoti is a small restaurant, and the tables are pretty close together. The service was ok but we had to flag someone down a couple of times. We were undecided on a bottle of wine so they let us try some samples first - thank you. We brown bagged half the bottle and took it home which was also nice. I ordered the grilled pork chops with cremini mushroom gravy and fingerling potatoes. The sauce was delicious but there barely a sprinkle of it. I tried my hardest to smear it around. The bone-in pork chops were cooked fine but there was not a lot of meat. The potatoes were also good but again it was a very small portion. Don't order this if you are really hungry! I am not a big eater so for me to say it's not a lot of food is unusual. On the other hand, my spouse ordered the gemelli cremini with a creamy fontina sauce, and it was delicious! It was a decent portion with cremini mushrooms, spinach, and of course the sauce. We will return, and next time I will stick with the pasta. read more

Small, cozy feel. Great service. Food was perfectly cooked (see photos and comments of gyro, burger, fries, and desserts). Coffee was a very tasty blend (and I am somewhat of a coffee snob). I am also a huge tiramisu fan and theirs (which,per our server, comes from an Italian specialty bakery, and is fresh, not frozen) was delicious! So, there you have it, a good variety on the menu with some unique items, deliciously tender and flavorful meat, hot and crispy fries, good coffee, good service, and yummy desserts - all with reasonable prices. This is a wonderful restaurant! The food is amazing, the staff are all friendly and welcoming. The environment is warm and provides a comforting ambiance. It's a great place to have a casual meal with friends or to celebrate major life events. I have eaten here a few times, and have loved everything I have had. Delicious! We loved this place! We came to have dinner for my mom's birthday. We started with the Fried Green Tomatoes that were perfect with a nice crispy crust and delicious dipping sauce! My dad and I had the amazing Chicken and Bacon sandwich one with sweet potato waffle fries and one with regular spiral fries. My mom had the Eccoti Burger and spiral fries and she loved that as well! The fries are crunchy on the outside and melt in your mouth! We finished with a free desert of Cappuccino gelato with a surprise chocolate filling. My wife and I were busy working on our house, lost track time, were hot and sweaty, and decided neither of us wanted to cook. On a whim, we decided to try getting takeout from Eccoti. We both ordered the Eccoti burger, hers with sweet potato fries and mine with regular fries. I have to confess that I was skeptical, but I am very happy to report that the good folks at Eccoti knocked it out of the park. The hand formed burgers were perfectly cooked to order, on fresh brioche buns with sautéed red onion, cheddar cheese and thick, crispy bacon. The fries were fresh, hot and salty, just like they should be. It was the best burger I've had in a very long time. My wife was equally pleased with hers. We are very much looking forward to dining-in and trying out the rest of the menu. The only minor negative to this first experience was paying for take-out at the bar. The bartender/cashier acted like it was an inconvenience to ring up the ticket, even though there was no one at the bar and only two tables were seated on the floor. Not a big deal, but the restaurant business in Goochland isn't an easy sell and a friendly staff makes a big difference. read more
