This is a terrific team of folks! They are very attentive, professional, and effective. Our place was a disaster when they came--a perfect storm of construction work and a bunch of old things that needed cleaning. When they left, it was like a different apartment. This is the first deep cleaning I've ever had where the team cleaned the baseboards, the doors, and other areas that probably haven't seen anything other than spiders and grossness since the beginning of time. These guys are as good as it gets! The carpets in my office are 5 years old and they were so beat up, dirty and stained I thought I was going to have re-carpet my whole office already. Rich came out, took one look and said he could have them looking and smelling brand new. I hired him on the spot and let me tell you, he was exactly right! Great experience! We called on a Friday and Richard returned our call quickly and scheduled for Wednesday morning. We had Ecogenie clean our ductwork and carpets after we did a major construction project in our basement. In the past, OTHER carpet cleaning companies came out and their so-called bargain price exploded once they got in the door. The fair price Richard quoted was the exact price we paid. JOSE ALVARADO and his brother MARIO were excellent service technicians. They arrived on time and took care of our home as if it were their own. I never go on Yelp so the fact that I'm doing this says something! My wife was having severe problems and allergies to the dust in our apartment. We tried expensive air purifiers, cleaned several times a week, but the dust still accumulated whenever we turned on the heat or A/C. Our building manager recommended Ecogenie and we booked them for an air duct cleaning. Jose and Mario were very thorough; they spent extra time getting all of the dust out of our system, and they sanitized it too for a very modest price. The biggest thing of all was waking up the next day. We woke up fresh, without stuffy noses or itchy eyes--and my wife never coughed throughout the day as she typically did. We also noticed that in direct sunlight, we couldn't see any more dust particles in the air. Our biggest regret is not calling them sooner. If you're experiencing higher than normal dust in your home/apt, get those ducts cleaned, and call ecogenie because they are thorough, professional, and friendly gentlemen who will explain everything they're doing. I have to echo everyone else's statements below. Our dog poohed everywhere in our kid's bedroom and they came out quickly and cleaned it up. They under-promised in that they were straight forward that they might not be able to get it all up and then over delivered by getting it all clean. Richard was great. Juan was great. Amazingly responsive via email and willing to work with my scheduling issues as my other contractors kept moving back their schedules. Rich picked up six area rugs of various sizes and types of wool - which were delivered back to me in two days looking better than new. They used eco-friendly supplies which helped to restore their original luster and also smell great! The price was good. Convenient and friendly service with a huge emphasis on customer satisfaction! A team of two came to our house to clean the AC ducts and dryer vent. Both were very professional and wonderful with my son who wanted to help. They took pictures of the dryer inside before and after which was very impressive and definitively worth the cleaning! They also handled all the extra problems around our AC with grace: No comments that they had to squeeze through the tiny hole in a closet to get to the attic, carrying that giant filter up the stairs and that half the vent covers were not really screwed on but chalked, making it really hard to get them back into place, all that insulation stuff that fell from around the vents into our rooms.... Messy jobs from the previous owners of our house but these guys did a beautiful job and cleaned up nicely despite all the extra dirt and work. Highly recommended! read more

I cannot recommend this company more. The work was thorough, the crew were professional, and the service amazing. My daughter suddenly developed asthma and indoor allergies. All different kinds of meds (by docs) did not work. That's when I decided to get our air ducts cleaned. Within hours, her cough was noticeably less. And I have to say, I didn't think I had issues, but my husband I both agree that our sinuses were feeling better. Who knew! The service has made a world of difference. A more well known place wanted to charge almost $1,000. We have 2 hvacs, but still! Ecogenie came recommended and gave it a try. Wow! Way less, but I bet better service. They were quick to respond and so accommodating with scheduling. The crew was so amazing. They were good guys who did a great job. I have another girl with special needs, and they were making sure her room was far and above cleaned well. Real sweet! The pricing is more than fair. Quite frankly, I feel we're taking advantage of them. I was so satisfied with their service that I scheduled a return visit to clean our carpet. As someone else said, I rarely leave yelp reviews. FABULOUS. Moved into a new home in Highland Park and needed a deep clean, they gave me a set price comparable to others I talked to, but it was a set price. They would not leave until we were happy, came for two days AND then again after the movers to make sure the floors were clean. Ran an air purifier, and scrubbed everything from lights to insides of cabinets. I am recommending them to everyone I know, worth every penny and more! read more

OMG! Ecogenie and it's owner Rich are fabulous. We had an emergency situation where I was exposed to a high level allergen that made the house virtually uninhabitable for me. I called Rich in desperation hoping that he could squeeze me in as soon as possible. After making the initial appointment for several days in advance, he rearranged his schedule, called me back 30 minutes later and had his crew and a high powered air cruncher at my house the next day addressing the problem. I think Rich should give seminars on Customer Service to other business owners. This was one of the best experiences I have ever had with a service business. I can't say enough good things about Rich, his crew leader Mario and the other Ecogenie staff that came to my house. NOT FOR ME! This morning, the cleaning crew was on time and seemed to be nice guys but so called "deep cleaning" was a mere surface wipe down at best. Rich "the boss" claimed the deep cleaning would leave everything smelling fresh and clean - that was a lie. I left them in an empty condo I want cleaned before moving in. During my final walk thru I found the stove still dirty and the oven was NOT cleaned at all - was told it makes some people sick. As for the carpet stains - was told the sun faded some areas. I know they didn't wash the walls nor clean closets as agreed unless they use water and no cleaning products. High touch areas of Fridge were as dirty as when they arrived and they didn't clean the freezer. After being charged $306! I'm back where I started. My first call to schedule and today to confirm the time before the job were answered by Rich but not so afterwards - got voicemail and no response yet. I took pictures and will compare to the next cleaning service. I usually don't take time for reviews and chose Ecogenie based on other Yelp reviews - maybe they had an off day... read more

These guys are amazing!!!! They came to our house to clean our air ducts not only were knowledgeable,professional,trustworthy, and friendly these guys went above and beyond!! We have noticed a difference right away in our air quality!! They came with all the right equipment including a huge Hepa filter to take particles from the air. There was a vent leading to our attic that we weren't sure what it was as it doesn't open and they went into the attic to see what it was and it wasn't a vent for the air conditioning. So they are very fair and went above and beyond for us!! The owner came out to make sure everything was going well and followed up with me to make sure I noticed a difference! We have had a lot of work done in our house over the years and this is one of the first companies we have used that truly care about the customer and take pride in their work!
