After over 7 years with Econex, we've decided to cancel and close our account today. During those years, we never disputed the pricing and always paid our bills on time. However, I've experienced the same issues as many other reviewers. I had a monthly service contract with them, but each visit lasts about 5 minutes, and they leave without thoroughly addressing the problem. My last service was on 08/27/2024, and today, on 09/11/2024, our house is infested with ants. I called to report the issue, stressing that it was urgent, but scheduling an appointment was incredibly difficult. Despite the urgency, I was told I would have to wait over a week for service. If I'm paying for regular pest control, it should at least prevent issues like ants and other bugs. When an urgent situation arises, scheduling a timely appointment should be much easier. I expressed my frustration over the phone, saying that we had just received pest control, and this was unacceptable. I mentioned that if no one could help, I would have to consider finding another pest control company. They didn't seem to care about losing a customer. Given that I travel often for work, I need to be notified well in advance of service dates. There have been multiple times when I received a text confirming my service date, only for no one to show up. Later, I would receive another text with a rescheduled date. I've called them multiple times about this scheduling issue, but the same problem continues. Spending $500+ a year for this level of service, and then having to spend additional money on treatments ourselves due to long wait times, is incredibly frustrating. I don't enjoy leaving bad reviews, as I understand that running a business is not easy. I've been very patient and communicative, as my goal was to resolve the issues. But after all this time, the results have been disappointing. One star is for their technician they are always very kind and hard working. read more

Nathan the sales rep from Econex Pest Control came to my door and was really nice and knowledge about the company and what they could do to help me out with the Ants, spiders and other bugs I am starting to experience now that the warmer weather is starting. Nathan even asked if I had been experiencing any Mice/Rats, Fleas/Ticks etc as they have a specialty service to help if need be. The great thing about the product they use , it is pet friendly as that is a major issue I have with having a dog and cats. Sean the technician introduced himself when I came to the door and was very friendly and let me know what he was going to be doing regarding spraying around the house and area of the house. He asked if I had any questions for him before he sprayed. When he was finished he came to the door to let me know and mentioned I might see some ants for a few days as the ants step on stuff they sprayed and take it back to the nest and kill the others. Sean also mentioned if I had any problems to please let them know and they will come right back out. Sean was very friendly and even thanked me as I the areas around my house was very clean. I don't like spider webs and don't want to attract more spiders. I was very impressed with the quality of the work that was done and what they did. I am writing to express my profound disappointment regarding the recent pest management services provided by Anthony P., a staff member of Econex. I have contacted Econex's office about the issue, but unfortunately, no remedial action has been taken. It appears that the quality of service has significantly declined since the recent acquisition, causing immense frustration and concern. Since Anthony P. assumed his position a couple of months ago, my experience has been marred by persistent issues, particularly concerning field mice infestation due to my proximity to a canyon. Despite my 22 years of loyalty to this company, I have found Anthony's approach to be ineffective and insufficient. He limited the number of bait traps and suggested DIY methods such as peppermint oil, which, in my opinion, contradicts the very essence of hiring professional pest management services. To my dismay, the mice problem has worsened, resulting in significant damage to my new SUV's engine compartment, leading to repair costs exceeding $800. As a long-standing customer, I expected a higher standard of service and a more proactive approach from Econex pest management company. read more

A salesperson came to my door and explained to me the pros of their natural based product for pest control. I researched the company, product and price and it was comparable to the other companies in the market. That same day I called the salesperson back and he signed me up for an annual service which included quarterly visits. The technician showed up a few hours later and treated the exterior of our house. He was very informative and told me what I should expect the new few days and educated me about the pests I was having problems with (ants, black & brown widows, silver fish, etc.). With in a week of treatment I've seen plenty of pests belly up and now it's been a few weeks and haven't had any problems with any bugs despite these last few hot and humid days. I recommend this Company and their product after one service our bugs are no longer. So glad I was there the day he knocked on my door. read more

This company is 2nd to none. Cory stopped by my house and I was a little hesitant to speak with him as I just arrived home from work. He was so very nice and respectful of my time. He explained the issues the other homes were having and he created a plan that fit my families budget as well. He was funny and very cheerful. He was a joy to work with. He took the time to ask about the issues I was having and explained the problems that different bugs bring. The service pro's arrived to my house and did a stellar job and really were detailed oriented. A far cry to the other pest control companies I've had in the past. Econex takes the cake and then some. If anybody out there needs a honest and diligent company look no further than econex. And ask for Cory. He will leave you laughing and smiling. YES! First, before getting into the effectiveness, I want to say that the two gentlemen that came out were polite and attentive. Great Customer Service with them and the office. Today was our second treatment and they were right on time as this morning I saw one of those little jumping spiders. We were infested with Brown Widows, I was on the patio and one bit me and it was horrible for weeks. We also had a bad issue with ants. Since Econex's first visit we have not seen any spiders or ants, or any other bug until recently on the patio. No ANTS! We feed some kitties on our patio that a mama brought to us (teens now, we fixed them and kept them). Within minutes the ants traveled a large patio to get to it... no ants now! Of course we continue to make sure NO drops are left of the food. They are very careful about the teens girls. Bottom-line, they and the product is great. read more

I'm going to say that efonwx pest control has been such an amazing edperince. Cory stopped by my house and I do not deal with door to door sales people. Cory was so kind and attentive. He wasn't pushy at all. He was very funny and he really explained how the service works and how it could benefit me. I was seeing a lot of ants and spiders as it starts heating up. He explained how the products are kid and pet friendly. I would recommend this company and Cory to anybody I know that is looking for an awesome service. Ours is a brand new home and Ben had stopped by several times to present your services. We inquired with several pest control companies. We decided on yours. Ben was very, very professional and still personable in presenting your services and went out of his way to help us understand the products used and where he was treating our home inside and out. This was our first pest control service with any company ever! We were always 'do-it-your-selfers' He paid special attention to the fact that we have a dog and gave us timeline safeguards for him. We moved to Dana Point 3 years ago and live on a beautiful hillside. Pests and rodents are an issue and decided to give Econex a try. We had a mice and rat problem as our house was a fixer-upper and the outside was a jungle. After cleaning up all overgrowth, Econex started coming to get all the pest issues under control. Chris has been our usual Pest Buster for quite awhile now and has not only done scheduled services but has come by to take care of unscheduled problems dealing with mice as we have done many renovations to our house which stirs up the little guys. Spider webs are and issue for this area and Chris does a good job cleaning them up. Chris is great and the staff in the office is always on top of requests and very pleasant. I am extremely disappointed with my experience with this company. Jacob, the reresentative that knocked on my door, claiming to be doing a special for our neighborhood for $99.00, is very deceiving. His work was horrible! He left a trap in my backyard that was supposed to be inaccessible to my dogs, in clear sight for them to get to. I called to cancel my service and be reimbursed an additional $99 charge that was taken from my account, ony to be told that he doesn't care that I am not happy with his service, and will not reimburse my account. Not only is that horrible customer service, but just plain rude. I highly discourage anyone from using this unprofessional company. read more

I've been using this company for years and have to share that their customer service and technicians are excellent. In the day of our regular maintenance, I asked them if they could come take care of some bugs in the house. We wanted them to come after our house cleaners. Customer service reached out immediately to our technician Elicio to schedule a good time ... no problem. Elicio came out and took care is the bugs inside the house and outside. Andres arrived on time(4pm), identified himself & asked for a review of our infestation problem. We walked the property, inside & out & began placing traps inside the home based on my location requests. He then sprayed our garage & the outside perimeter of our home. The entire process took about an hour & went very smoothly. Andres was professional, pleasant, answered our questions & advised of the next visit(30 days). It was a pleasure to work with him. Great company - I had an infestation of black widow spiders about 12 years ago and called this company in a panic. So far this service has been worth it for us. We had ants last summer in EVERY single room in our home so this summer before the heat hit we decided to have someone spray. I love that this company uses a kid and pet friendly spray. They have been very thorough in checking under furniture and removing any webs they see. Justin always does a great job, but this last visit he went above & beyond! I was here we he came and I told him I have been getting bitten by mosquitos like crazy. He gave me some excellent tips and after I had to jump on a conference call I could see him dumping all the standing water and fighting with my furniture covers to be able to get rid of the standing water that was filled with mosquitoes! Its always a pleasure when technician Randy comes out to exterminate our home. He's extremely friendly and very professional. Glad to have this service. When we moved into our home we had ants, crickets, spider's, wasps nests,and lizards but with the very first visit we noticed all these insects had disappeared. I met an Ecosmart Pest Control salesman at my front door. He was very courteous and didn't try to sell me something I didn't need. He was very kind and considerate. I set up for my house to be sprayed for the first time the following day. Another courteous employee showed up and took time to talk to me about the problems I was experiencing.
