So I am not one to write reviews...but this has been one of the most ridiculous experiences. 6 months ago we called to have someone come out to look at our system as we had recently bought our house. The guy who came was very nice, said we needed to replace a part, and we spent around $500 for that. No problem. Then he convinced us to sign up for the membership because ultimately it is cheaper and someone would come every 6 month to change the filter. Sounds great! However, he did not have the right filter with him to replace our filter because I guess it's not a standard size. He said he would order it and would come back out the following week to replace it. A couple of weeks went by and I hadn't heard anything, so I called. Whomever I talked to said they would get the message to the office and someone would call me back the next day. I never heard anything and another couple of weeks went by. So I called again. Whomever I talked to said, oh so sorry, I will have someone call you back. I'm sure you can guess what happened next! I called a total of 5 times over the next few months, talked to 5 different people. Every time I was told someone would call me back. The problem is that they have someone answering phones that doesn't actually work at the office. So you are never actually speaking with someone directly. One day I saw on my phone that EconAir was calling me so I answered. It was actually someone from the office trying to sell me on a new service they were offering. I told them that I would actually like to cancel my membership as it had been 5 months at that point and still we had not gotten our filter replaced. He told me he couldn't believe it, and he couldn't see anything in our file about us calling. He said, I'm going to talk to my boss and get this figured out. Well...I'm sure you can guess...never heard anything! So I would definitely not recommend this company if you want to ever actually speak with someone in the office about an issue. read more

Jesse from EconoAir came out to do a routine maintenance check on my furnace. Scheduling the appointment was a breeze, after I was notified that I was due for servicing. The day before my appointment I was notified by text to confirm the appointment. This morning I received another text with Jesse's letting me know that he was going to come by house. I also received a phone call from Jesse prior to his arrival to reconfirm our appointment and say what time he would arrive. When Jesse arrived he informed me what he was going to do and when he finished he provided me with his findings and options. BEWARE!! Of the services provided by Eco Air. You might want to get a second opinion after the installation to make sure it's done right. My AC unit was installed over 20 years ago, and I was under the impression that everything was installed as it read in my contract. I called to complain about my AC not cooling quickly enough in the living room, which had two vents installed. My home is less than 1100 square feet. Econo Air came out and said all the vents were working just fine, and it's probably due to no insulation because my home was so old. It totally made sense to me, and I can only assume they are professionals and they know what they're doing. Beware! I'm in the middle of a remodel and upgrading the lighting in my home. The electrician asked why one of the vents in the living room wasn't connected. He said that they just left the duct up there and never connected it to the main system. That explains why my home wasn't cooling enough. I called and asked them to come out and look at it. I understand that it's been 20 years since they installed it. But if they never did it the first time, they should come out and fix it. They sent out a technician to look at it; keep in mind they were trying to charge me $99 to have someone look at what could possibly be their mistake. Nonetheless, they agreed to hold the fee until they could assess the situation. The tech was awesome, by the way. The result, they acknowledged that the vent was never connected to the system. However, they want to charge me $895 to connect it. They didn't admit they didn't connect it but admitted that it was never connected. How does that make sense? read more

I highly recommend Econo Air. Econo practiced all safety protocols for the time we live in and overdelivered on an A/C replacement for a rental property we are selling. The work inside the furnace closet was remarkable. That part of the job only involved a coil replacement but they removed everything and reinstalled as you see in the picture. The furnace was originally not level and they handled that. None of the insulation and sound proofing was there before Econo. The old A/C compressor unit had failed and Econo presented multiple ways to go. We decided to attempt to salvage the old unit by replacing parts but that did not work. Terrific Econo Air work. Another firm gave me high price and insufficient scope of work to replace original duct work in my 40 year old home. Econo Air gave me a very reasonable bid and appropriate scope of work. The 4 workers arrived on time and finished all work in a timely, friendly, and professional manner in one day and kept house clean. The only glitch was that one person accidentally made a hole in my ceiling when he stepped through the attic ceiling. Econo Air charged $99 to send the technician who after a few minutes recommended $4,500 worth of parts replacement. Later that day an honest technician from another company immediately diagnosed that the issue was simply a dirty flame sensor. He cleaned it and fixed the problem for $140 total. It is evident that Econo Air is not in the business of repairing small problems, but instead to up-sell you on huge $4,500 repairs or a new $14,000 furnace. It's like I paid them $99 to come to my house and try to rip me off. In this economy it's sad to see that there are companies out there looking to take advantage of home owners in our community. The other consideration is the environmental impact that would have been made if I had replaced the furnace as a result of their "diagnostics". read more

EconoAir came out at the end of August to check my system and told me everything is in great shape and running optimally. My spike in energy bill could not be related to anything with the unit not running properly/efficiently but rather just excessive use since it has been hot. Fast forward 2 months, EconoAir returned today to check on my heater as part of a prepaid service. As part of the check, they casually checked the AC unit again and have discovered it is not running efficiently and want $1200 (discounted from $1600) to fix it. True to history, they come out and found something they want to fix for a sizable chunk of $. I asked if this was an issue that takes time to build up and the tech (who was very polite BTW) said yes. I asked if this would have been notable 2 months ago and he said more than likely. I then asked why the EconoAir tech who came out 2 months ago to prove the system was running at optimal didn't find this and he had no answer other than, "maybe they didn't check it." I'm not an HVAC repair man, as far as I know, magic makes my AC unit run but what kind of XYZ point inspection plan doesn't check something 2 months ago but does it now? Maybe it was an honest mistake or not but I just cannot trust this company anymore. while all the techs they send seem nice, I bet they are all pressured to drive sales with repairs and of course they pray on your fears, "you wouldn't want your system to fail on the hottest/coldest day of the year would you?" Today I was given this gem "most other companies won't make that repair, so call us when you're ready or good luck finding a cheaper price." I don't know if I'll find a cheaper price but i'll sure as damn look before i trust EconoAir. You tried to regain my trust, but tell me, how does this situation look? read more

HIGHLY HIGHLY Recommended!!! Our furnace unit broke down in Feb of 2020; we got 2 quotes and it didn't go anywhere bc the "highly" rated yelp service providers said they couldn't handle the project. Then Covid happened, so we further delayed the repair. One day in July my wife was at Costco, and picked up brochure w/ regards to HVAC/service repair. We contacted Costco, and they sent an authorized service provider (Econo Air) to give us an estimated. Mike Richards (CEO) personally came and did the estimate himself. He was extremely professional, gave us GREAT advice...and executed as promised with thorough proposal. Within 2.5 weeks from the proposal, we got the contracts signed...and BRAND NEW HVAC unit installed. The workers place tarps on the floor/carpet/used booties when needed. The system was moved to the attic, platforms build with electric rewiring for now lighting! Truly the best! They saw the ac water heater platform was sagging so they drained the water heater removed everything and rebuilt and totally insulated the platform also enlarged all the ducting all the way to the vents in the attic . The owner is honest and was even willing to work with me on terms in order to get everything that was needed to make this system perform better than when this house was built in 77 . Top notch company and service. They have been servicing my A/C unit for years. When it came time to replace they were my first call. From start to finish I was very pleased with everything. There CEO actually came out to talk with me and my wife to look at what we had currently and explain all our options on new units and what was available. Our house has very little space in attic and heater closet. To say the least it was going to be a nightmare job. He was very confident and sure of the capabilities of his crew. The other 2 estimates and companies tried to change up everything and couldn't get us what we wanted. Amazingly enough pricing was great and right in line with our budget. We were currently in the middle of a heat wave and needed A/C NOW given the fact my wife worked from home. Scheduling was fast and they got us on the books fast. We went with a zoned system so this added a little complexity to the install. On day of install crew showed up on time with all there materials and ready to work. Very please with this. Crew was very polite and worked hard to get everything installed given there challenging work conditions in 100 degree weather.
