The overall experience in staying in this hotel was atrocious ans the worst stay that we've ever had. Although the room was spacious, it felt as though we were staying in a prison cell. The walls were dirty and had writing on them. There were cracks in the walls and the door to enter the room looked as though it has been broken in several times. I noticed that all the windows to the building was open(probably to air out the musty dirty smell that the hotel and rooms had. We couldn't sleep because the guests up above us were making noise.. Either that or the walls and floors were so thin that you can hear every step as if there were elephants or if they were moving furniture. The bed was very uncomfortable as we could feel the metal frame when we laid on the mattress. Other than the positive that there were at least places nearby to eat and it was convenient to the freeway, that's the only good thing I can think of. The pictures that are posted on their website showing remodeling and clean are all lies and very decieving. I regret not reading the reviews before considering to stay at this hotel. We will not be staying at this hotel again and will consider sleeping in our car if we had to as a last resort. read more

6/20/25- We had a room in the main building which is where the registration desk is. Registration staff were very friendly, understanding and helpful. There is another building that used to be a motel. Both buildings have 3 floors and no elevators available. They do have some handicap rooms but none were available. However the room that we received had a walk in shower/no tub. There is a free continental style breakfast available from 6:30am to 9:30am. Make your own waffles and toast, 2 kinds of cereal and whole milk. Yogurt, oranges, coffee, and orange juice. Near the registration desk, there are some drinks and snacks available for purchase. There are no vending machines and the ice machine is across the parking lot in the "motel" building. Our room was a double and very clean looking. There is no carpeting on the floors. There is a single serve coffee maker with cups, creamer, and sugars. An ice bucket, mini fridge, steam iron & ironing board, and microwave. The bed is nice and firm but the pillows are way to soft. If you have cervical necks issues bring your own pillow. I didn't think of that and didn't get any sleep because my neck pain flared up. 1 pillows too soft and 2 pillows raised your head up too high. It can be noisy in the room if you have someone with heavy footsteps above you and due to the fact you are next to the freeway, freeway off ramp and a busy street. The room is not very sound proof to outdoor noises. There is a pool but it was empty during our stay. There are several places to eat and get snacks within walking distance. read more

A very unexpected last minute need for a place to stay. I am a night shift Healthcare worker who lives out of town and needed to sleep during the day between shifts. I checked in at 0930 and checked out at 1700 on the same day. I was told they could not give a discount because they still need to clean the room. even though they could have easily re-booked the room for the night. Well $94.00 later, here I was in an 80° in room ..... 5 hours later it was 74 degrees F. But surprisingly, the heat wasn't my biggest problem sleeping... oh my goodness THE NOISE!!! Constant doors slamming, banging.... This motel is very close to the freeway- but road noise was not an issue. I asked before handing over my hard earned money- if this room was in a quiet area and was told "yes, absolutely- in THIS building". I hate to hear how bad ' the other building was'. I could have slept in my car, got the same amount of sleep, temperatures about the same and SAVED $94. I'm sorry, but I cannot recommend this establishment. Cons: Very old & dated rooms. This place is appalling. The rooms are tiny, smell horrible,extremely dirty and thugs on every side. If you wanted a 2 dollar hook er (like the one in the room above me) or a crack dealer (like the one to the right of me) then this place is right for you! Unfortunately, I brought my kids and family on a last minute soccer adventure and ended up here at 10pm on a Friday night. Gross. Room smelled like smoke. Otherwise room and bathroom were clean. Outlets were too loose to hold anything plugged in on the ones near the bed. Even the lamp plug was hanging down exposing the prongs. Couldn't plug in charger for cell phone so luckily I had a portable charger. The only safe secure plug was across the room on the farthest wall. The shower stall was awesome, the full size one wall in the bathroom. The shower floor was "tiled" with same material as the stall walls which made it unique and neat design but for someone with sensitive feet of some kind of medical foot issue, I can see the floor being uncomfortable or hurting/painful. Room was very dimly lit even with all 3 lamps on in the room, 2 bedside and one near the 2 seat table. Must be a 20 watt cfl in them. read more

What can I tell you. I have stayed at the motel 6 across the street and motel 6 is no kidding 3 times better than this place. We had room 103. First floor as soon as you open the door you can smell the mold and mildew in the room. The carpet was so nasty and stained I wouldn't even let my dog walk barefoot in it. The bathroom had mold and rust. And the bed when you sit on it you don't even feel a mattress. Yes it is there but it's so worn out you can feel the wood holding it up. I ended up leaving due to the conditions. I am a truck driver and stay at a lot of places. But tonight I will be in my sleeper for one more night. FYI I only put 1 star because the app forces you to put at least one. If it were me they get nothing except warning all of you to stay away from this place. read more

Worst experience EVER. Carpet in the room was sticky, had to wear shoes the whole time. Cigarette burns all over the bath tub. Bed was hard with springs poking through. Pillows were a joke, 4 square decorator pillows with pillow cases folded in half. 1 flat empty duvet, no type of warmth of weight. Wasn't able to sleep through the night due to being terribly uncomfortable. 2 lights in the room worked but were so dim, so you couldn't see the filth of the room. To top it off, the manager Karen fraudulently charged my card an additional $100 5hours after I checked out for a missing wash rag, and pillow case. When called and asked about it, her reply was she normally charges $175 and when asked about returning 2 said items ( accidently got mixed up with personal belongings) was told it would take 3-5 business days to return. so you take an excessive amount without authorization, and then do not return it. My friends and I stayed here for a weekend long trip, we payed for two separate rooms, one of which was extremely dirty, there were pee stains on the side of the tub and the floor was disgusting. We also order a nonsmoking room as one of my friends has severe asthma. So the five of us all ended up having to stuff ourselves into one room because they weren't able to send maintenance to our room to clean it and we complained once each day we were there because no one ever came to clean the room our whole stay even though we requested so multiple times. We then asked for our money back because we weren't able to stay in one of the rooms which they declined. Rude service. the phones in the rooms didn't work. They had throw pillows for the beds and the lights in the bathroom were broken. read more

Ok we were not expecting too much from this motel. While the employees were nice they were not able to help. We arrived at 12:30 from a very long ride. I wasn't sure if we would be able to check in that early but gave it a try. The young lady at the front desk said no. She didn't have rooms ready yet. No problem. We went and had lunch. We came back at 1:40 and were told that the computer would not let her check anyone in before 2. I work at a hotel and know that the computer cannot limit when you check someone in. Your website also states check-in is 1pm. So we stood outside in the 100 degree weather for 20 more minutes. We went back in and she started the check in process. We were told we were on the 3rd floor for one of our rooms. I told her my husband only has one lung and cannot climb that many stairs. She told us she couldn't move our room. Really? We were the first ones to check in at 2pm so why couldn't someone else's room be moved! By then my husband said don't bother he will make it work. Now let's move on to the room. Not the worst I've been in but the carpet was sticky and stained. The shower head was just high enough for me at 5 ft but my 6 foot husband found it challenging. Motion detector lights in the room? How weird. We were laying in bed watching tv and the light would just come on. Finally had to remove the light bulb so we could get some sleep. Oh and the front desk clerk told us if we waited till after 5pm she would ask some employees if they wanted to move and give us their first floor room. Oh yeah, I want to stay in a room that someone lives in I think not. Apparently your employees get the good accommodations and your guests get the bad ones. The pool by the way should be labeled hot tub because that's how big it is. I assume it was all of your employees using it that night. We couldn't get into the pool area. It was my uncle's 50th birthday party last Saturday and I was driving from the Bay Area. I reserved a room at Econo Lodge due to the open bar, and I really did not want to drive home. I was planning to Uber my boyfriend and me there and back to the hotel. We were running late and decided to go straight to the party. I called the hotel to let them know I was going to do late check in, called three times and no answer. Fast forward to when we checked in.... The parking lot had caution tape all over it, really all over, and all the untaped spots were full. I still parked in the caution tape. I went to the lobby and spoke to the girl through the window. She said I do not have a reservation. I walked to my car and got my phone which had my reservation. By the time I had made it back, she found my CANCELLED reservation in the computer. She said that the manager had cancelled my reservation. I didn't receive a message or anything, and it would have been nice to have them answer the phone when I tried to call. She said the reservation was cancelled because they tried to run my credit card. 1. I was paying cash. 2. The booking site I used said they do not PRE charge your card, guaranteed. 3. No call to resolve the issue before cancelling my reservation. I went next door to another hotel, no vacancies. The man at the counter was AWESOME there though and called several other hotels to see if they are vacant. None were... Drove all the way home at 1am. I should have read the other reviews regarding customer service prior to even booking. Even Motel 6 has better reviews, maybe I would have been able to stay in town that night if I had booked there instead. read more

We just needed a room for the night... We were greeted with a smile... We asked for a nonsmoking room.... We with to the room... There were cigarette butts all on the landing to the unit.. And a piece a bread, that was clearly there for some time it was hard as a rock..... Inside I have learned from the past to check ALL the bedding... for, you know.... I found 2 dead ones in the trim of the mattress.... Nothing alive... I could clearly see that the front door was forced at one time.... The paint around the jamb was peeled/torn from the wall.... The sofa bed in the room had stains on it... The bathroom door has an obvious patch hole where a fist went through it... In order to close said door you must lift it or it drags on the tile floor.... If I could give this hotel a minus star rating I would. Between the broken toilets, sinks and showers we had to switch rooms three times. Then we came back the third day and things were taken from our room. NO THANKS! The only one in our room was the night manager - who came to look at the broken sink. I stayed here for 1 night its your typical freeway exit MOMO a place youd think people just go have sex and leave. I wouldn't walk in the room barefoot or even with socks shoes or sandals are a MUST! Warning no wifi for three days. I don't think anyone even called AT&T to have it repaired. The front desk has no idea when it's going to be fixed. Every time I've called they set an appointment and give you a three hour window. I couldn't imagine that they give less curtesy to a commercial hotel in high demand paying close to a 1000 a month I think the staff at Ecno lodge just doesn't give a fuck. I was traveling from the PNW with two other family members to San Diego. I booked rooms with Choice Hotels for our entire trip. I needed a place midway between Southern Oregon and Southern California. We found the hotel on line and from our earlier stays at Choice Hotels booked a room at the Tracy California Econo Lodge. We arrived at 8pm after a long day on the road. Our room had the following issues; the hide-a-bed couch was filthy. It was stained and filthy. I have never seen a couch in any other hotel that a guest was expected to use be that disgusting. The carpet needs cleaning, walking across it in bare feet was an experience too. The closet doors were falling off their track as well as falling apart. There was no cover plate on one ground level power receptical, the front door keyless entry control was loose and moved about and the security lock had screw fall out of it when we went to set it for the evening. The walls and ceiling in the room were badly patched and painted, then bathroom had the same problem along with the fixtures being rusted and mold growing on the tub grout. Hot water took a good 10 minutes to make itself known once you turned on the faucet. We had noisy neighbors above us for most of the night, we have to chase off a women who was attempting to gain access to our room thru the main door. I wanted to open the rear window but they are all screwed closed which of course must be a violation of a fire code. I will say the sheets were clean and so were the bath towels. Our room was supposed to have two queen beds, but I think in reality they were only double beds. I could go on, but why? I think you have the idea about this place. I served almost 30 years in the military, and spent many a night in barracks all over the world, including a condemned warehouse on a pier in South Korea and they were all better than this hotel. Why did we stay if it was so bad, at that time of night we were dog tired from the drive and didn't know where were we could find a room in Tracy. read more

If I could give this a negative star rating, I would. After a full day's work in the San Diego area, and waking before 5 am, my wife and I started off to Tracy, CA on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving. We booked the room over a week before through hotels.com, and called to confirm at 6 pm we'd be arriving very late. We expected we'd get there at 2 am after at least an 8-hour drive. We left close to 7 pm, got caught in holiday traffic that caused us a 2-hour delay even before we got to the Grapevine's southern side. It was midnight before we even hit a stride from that point, and we had 280 miles to go still! We had no naps by the time we got into the central valley and wondered if we should just eat it and get a room closer to where we were, maybe in Bakersfield. We blew that off and went for the full drive to Tracy. No need to double up on room charges, right? Just go for it! We got to this hotel at 4:45 am. That's a full 24 hours after I woke to go to work. I was jittery and tired. I drove the final leg of the trip in the rain and fog and without more than a few minutes of naps on what had turned into a 10-hour drive. It's time to get to sleep before a family dinner for the holiday. Instead, we got the RUDEST and most UNSYMPATHETIC and UNHELPFUL clerk. This was the wrong time for all that. He said we didn't have a reservation. We did. Email receipt to prove it. He said we didn't have a late check in plan. We did. The preceding shift apparently didn't leave any notes, digitally or on paper, to indicate we'd be REALLY LATE. He said all the no-shows had been wiped from the reservation record for the night. Basically, we didn't exist, so he didn't have to help us. He didn't offer any alternatives but to wait for his manager to come in at 7:30. AS IF! He said he couldn't give us an early check-in. Basically, he could do nothing. And he was combative. I promised him a bad Yelp review and he just blew it off with a "whatever" comment. So much for "hospitality." We were livid. Since it was paid for through hotels.com he couldn't do anything to refund the payment, but he did nothing to help us, either. His attitude was as bad as you can get with customer service. Reading other reviews here, it looks like this place is at least consistently bad! We blew out of there and had to resort to looking at two other hotels in the immediate area, and another two calls before we found one we could stay at, with our dog. By the time we got our room at the replacement hotel, it was 5:45 am. We'd just barely gotten settled at sunrise. (Not in the scope of this review, but a bit more about that same weekend, and some BUYER BEWARE for travelers: We might have forgotten about this after a while if not for just two nights later, by some cruel fate, we had another hotel SNAFU at another place over the dog fee being 138% over the room price.) read more

This is the worst hotel my family and I have stayed at (actually, I didn't stay) We arrived at the hotel at around 5:00 PM, went to the lobby, the desk was unattended. There was a person waiting to book a room, who told me he found an empty desk too, and had waited for about 20 minutes. I waited for about an additional twenty minutes, finally a guy shows up, checks me in, gives me the keys to the room. We go to the room, passing by a guy seating on a chair outside the adjacent room, he had a box of empty beer bottles by bis side (first sign this wasn't a good place to stay). We go into the room, which had the dirtiest carpet I've seen, the bedspread on one of the beds had cigarette burns all over, the toilet had a hole on the tank cover, there was moldy areas on the shower stall. I took a quick shower, we left, planning on coming back around 11PM (the whole purpose of booking a room was so that we didn't have to drive back the 70 miles back home after a party). We did come back to the hotel at 11...only to return the keys and check out of the room we weren't going to stay in. The fact that I drove 70 miles, tired after partying for hours (no drinking, but dancing), rather than spending a minute at this place, after I have paid over a hundred bucks for a room is self explanatory. read more

Just needed a place for the night. TV had a snowing picture. Big boxy TV. Went to take a shower in the morning in Room 428. Shower didnt work as the knob you pull up to have the shower come on was stuck. Had to take a bath instead. Yuk. I went to complain upon check out about the shower. Desk clerk says to me you said something about this yesterday didnt you. I said no i was here just the 1 night. She says she will get maintenance on this. If they already knew it didnt work why wasnt it already fixed when I checked in. My biggest complaint. She didnt offer a partial credit or anything. Just says she will report the shower problem. We booked here because we were attending a wedding and it was the cheapest hotel we could find in that area. BIG MISTAKE! After all the inconveniences, I would have gladly paid the extra $30-$40 for Best Western or Holiday Inn. We get there around 1:30 PM (check-in is at 1). During the check-in process we are interrupted by a gentleman complaining about the hotel and telling us that we should save our time and go elsewhere (I should've listened to him!!!!) The lady at the desk didn't handle it very well. A lot of attitude and eye rolling. It was really uncomfortable and definitely didn't set the right tone for the rest of our stay. Problem #1: We get our keys, and carry our luggage up stairs to the second floor, room 412. Our key cards don't work. My boyfriend goes back down to the lobby and gets the keys "re-scanned" while I stay with our luggage. He comes back upstairs, they still don't work. He goes down to the lobby for the second time, and they "re-scan" them again. Comes back upstairs. THEY STILL DON'T WORK. My boyfriend goes down for the THIRD TIME. This time they give us two different key cards and a different room, 414. Low and behold the key card actually worked. Problem #2: We get in, and it's HOT in the room. I try to turn on the AC (it's about 95 degrees outside at this point, so the room was pretty warm too. The AC makes an awful rattling sound and there's no cool air coming out of it. We call the lobby. They say they'll have someone from maintenance come up and see if they can fix it. He comes up and begins working on the AC. By this time, it's around 2:45 PM and we had to leave for the wedding at 4. I didn't want to begin getting ready with how hot it was in there and with the maintenance guy working in our room. He then determines that the fan was broken, so even if they could adjust the air to be cooler (that device was broken as well) the fan won't actually blow the air into our room. He said he would go downstairs and see if they can get us another room OR a discount. I tell him we would need another room AND a discount, and as soon as possible, because we are on a time crunch because of a wedding. He said he will have them call us. Problem #3: We hear NOTHING from them for another 30 minutes. Finally I call, and tell her that this is ridiculous and a huge inconvenience. We had to leave for a wedding in less than an hour and we are stuck in this hot room, and no one has even checked on us or given us an update or ANYTHING. She apologized and said they were waiting for another room to be cleaned. Finally I say F**K it and start getting ready. Right when we were about to leave for the wedding, my boyfriend calls downstairs to let them know we have to leave or we'll be late. Not 2 minutes later, a man comes up with another key card for room 417. He apologizes profusely and tells us we can get 30% off our stay. Room 417 was fine- I was relieved that the AC worked. As fast as we can, we move all our luggage over to THAT room and leave for the wedding. Problem #4, (BIGGEST PROBLEM OF ALL): We were late to the wedding because of all of this. Problem #5: The next day we go to check out and I tell the lady we were promised 30% off our stay by the manager who helped us switch rooms. She says "oh yes, I took the discount out already". I look and it's only a 10% discount. I tell her hmmm, this is only 10%. She says "Are you sure he promised you 30%? Maybe you misheard him because of his accent.hahaha..." Uh no, my boyfriend is Mexican and he understood him JUST FINE lol. She apologizes and laughs and says "You must be better at math than me!!" NO... I think she was trying to see if we would even notice... So then she gives me the 30% off as promised, which equaled about $24 off. On the drive home, my boyfriend and I laughed it off and decided it was a lesson learned, and I just want to put it out there for the rest of you so you don't make the same mistake I did by booking here! Never again. Forget that this place looks like it was never cleaned of mold or updated to make you feel like you're in a clean and sanitized place...low-cost or not, you should feel comfortable. We needed a place for the night, and decided to give this place a chance. My BIGGEST complaint, not only did the cleaning lady just come into our room...sorry I did not hear the apparent "knock", BUT there was even a couple that was trying to get into our room. I opened the door to get the guy to finally go away. But I ended up stay awake the whole night, even though I locked up, I was still alone and didn't know if someone else would try. The room started to smell to smoke, did smell like smoke when we entered the room. We sprayed the room and beds with Lysol. Despite that, eventually the smoke smell came back. We checked the bedding the best we could, but after spraying, still put a blanket we had on the top to sleep on, still left feeling itchy. The bathroom door had holes in it, flooring was...well it left you wondering if it had been cleaned after the last person was in there. Our room had a iron spot in the rug. Honestly, renovated? Heh. Sorry, but we will not be doing business here again. You should have more pride in your business and in making the rooms comfortable for people to want to return, not them leaving and wondering what they just laid on. This place is horrible. About 10 channels on the cable worked, HBO didn't, not even a crappy signal. Wifi went down almost the entire stay, called multiple times. Burn marks on the carpet from the clothing iron, Cracked sink. Best part was the security latch had a patch job from where the door was kicked in in the past. WORST Ever Hotel Experience!!!! If I could give negative 5 stars that still would not be enough! In the processing of moving from one home to another - my new home will not be available for a week, so we chose a local hotel to stay in for a week. We are not on vacation so not really looking for any frills, just the basics at a reasonable price. After checking several sites, EconoLodge seemed to be a step above a motel - which is fine for a week. Called to let them know we would be a late evening check-in - no problem, and pleasant phone encounter. Finally arrived around 8:30pm Thursday, July 7, pleasant checkin encounter. The parking lot was half filled with work trucks and parking spaces were scarce but there were about 2-3 spaces available at that time. Stepping over a person sitting on the stairs smoking, we took our luggage to the room which has stained carpet and a tinge of cigarette smoke. It was late and we had not eaten after a long day of moving, so we just went out to a nearby fast food restaurant to get take out. Upon returning there was ZERO parking. It looked like one person was leaving on the side, however, they were just at their vehicle and not getting in and pulling out. The parking lot is awkwardly set up so I had to actually leave the premises and circle back. I stopped at the front desk to ask where are guests supposed to park because it seemed like a lot of construction work trucks were in the small lot. The person who seemed to be the "manager on duty" was no longer pleasant (they had my money). She was indignant and said that we were authorized to park in the neighboring fast food parking lot. I responded that as a paid guest, I am supposed to park elsewhere? She (MOD) peered out her window and said with attitude - that there were a couple of spaces to park in right now. I assumed that one of those spaces was probably the one where the people were lingering before actually lingering (it was). As I walked out of the office I said this was not very good customer service. She (MOD) sarcastically said thank you! There were still no other parking spaces available except the one I mentioned previously and took it! After returning to the room, I told my son that if we had not already been charged for that night, we would have checked out then. Went to use the restroom about 5am Friday morning and the toilet did not flush. As a bit of hygiene fanatic, to know me, you would know this experience was horrifying if I did not even feel comfortable brushing my teeth or washing my hands! At 5am I called Microtel, just down the next street over and told her we needed a very early check-in. After explaining our experience and where we were, she said OH! in familiarity of what a DUMP Econo Lodge is, so she waived the early checkin fee and told us to come on over right then! Felt good to finally be able to shower in a nice hotel with ample parking and hotel staff who value their customers! Econo Lodge is low priced so I guess why it must cater to the construction workers. They should realize that the construction workers are not the ones that YELP! So they should have all construction trucks park in the fast food parking lot to allow for late arriving families to park in the hotel parking lot near their rooms. If there is free wifi - I guess they don't let you know the code unless you ask for it. They should also consider security to enforce no smoking or loitering on the narrow stairwells - since there are no elevators to use alternatively. The clerk I dealt with in the morning for my early check-out was pleasant to deal with as well as the young lady who was possibly being trained by the "MOD" the night of our check-in. I believe I would have felt safer if this was low budget hotel off the highway in the middle of no where. However, you are located in Tracy, an up and coming suburban mecca of the Bay Area. Econo Lodge - wake up and recognize your locale and cater to it. Do not allow rif-raf to loiter in your parking lot and stairwells, disallow smoking, and cater to families who are your bread and butter customers. If truckers and construction workers see that it is a lodging of certain standards and those standards are enforced - they will typically fall in line with very few exceptions. The Biggest change needed however, is the MOD who does not understand the concept of customer service and the proper professional decorum that should be maintained whether a guest is complimentary and satisfied or frustrated and dissatisfied. To start, the key card didn't work. Walked up 3 flights of trash littered floors past a trash can that looks like it hasn't been cleaned in over a year to get to my room for my key card to not work. My husband walked back to get it re-keyed and the man at the front office came back with a new key and the same old key and tried the old key first (like we were not competent enough to work a card key). Our non-smoking room smelled of smoke and had cigarette burns on the carpet. The queen sized bed is a full at best and there were 3 pillows that were the size of airplane pillows. For real, like a third of the size of a pillow at home. The lamp shade on the side of the bed wobbled and upon inspection was COMPLETELY broken as the actual light fixture came apart from the lamp base. The carpet felt dirty to the point where it was almost oily on my feet, wore socks the rest of the time there (came off filthy). The alarm was set to 5 AM and when my husband went to call the office to complain the phone cord was actually ripped from the phone (guess they don't want to actually hear the complaints from the room).There were vague pink hued hand prints on each side of the long mirror by the wall (eew) and when I went to brush my teeth in the bathroom (hot is cold and cold is hot) a screw fell out of the shower curtain rod. We bailed first thing in the AM so I could shower at home and when I spoke to the manager on duty to make sure my card would not be charged for anything wrong with the room she seamed completely unsurprised by my description of the state of the room. I also had to get past empty bottles of alcohol on the way back to my truck. Spend the extra 15 bucks to go across the way to Motel 6 read more

This place was filthy, despicable and disgusting. Cockroaches, filthy stained carpets the hallways stink and I had no telephone in my room. Don't bother calling guest relations with Choice Hotels as they will do nothing which is why this place operates in the manner that it does. The front desk staff is unprofessional and lazy. One day the young lady behind the desk did not hear me enter and I stood in front of the desk for 5 minutes while she was on her phone. Then when she realized that I was there she got pissed because she doesn't like to be stared at. Do yourself a huge favor, stay at Motel 6 down the street as its 10 time better than this dump. Instead of Econolodge it should be named The Flea Bag Inn! This is the kind of place you see on TV a run down shithole that should be renting by the hour. read more

Actually a nice spot. I went not too long ago, and only went here because Motel 6 was booked. So I was like, lemme give this place a try. Reasonable price for it being near the "Bay Area". I just got through reading the 1 star reviews of this place as I'm sitting here typing this. Come on people!! Its a Motel!! In the city of Tracy! What were you expecting?! The Waldorf Astoria? The Fairmont? Stop it! Anyways, I went because I had just left the movies with a female companion, and it was time to do "other things" Usually Motel 6 is the spot in Tracy cause Dennys is right there, so its always good to be able to get up and go get yourself a Grandslam after you were in the room hitting a Grandslam. They were booked as I said earlier. I called to two other spots, they wanted $110+ AND a $100 "incidentals" deposit. Ummmm...NO. When I stay at the Embassy Suites they don't even ask for that, so I'm not gonna give some roadside Motel in Tracy that either. I got in there about 1am. Real quick check in. Got the room. I was impressed cause I've been in some messed up rooms before, but hey, I wasn't going for comfort, I was going to for adult activities and then sleep. Room was cool. Average but cool. Sturdy bed, no loud bed noises, headboard stayed on the wall. I checked out the next day. I thought check out was 12pm, but it was 11am (that was whack) The lady Gloria at the front desk was very helpful as I was checking out. I walked through the lobby and seen they had a set up for continental breakfast which the late night attendant who was working when I checked in the previous night, did not mention. Had I known I would have gotten up and ate some make your own waffles and kiddie sized juice cups and yogurts. Gloria was nice though. Really appreciated her. read more

Well for starters....went to the front desk and was told to go to next building which had 3 floors and no elevator. Had a key to check out the room and after climbing all the way up to the room the key didn't work. Went all the way down back to office told the lady at the desk and she does the key again. So in 100 degree heat I attempt to go back up all 3 flights of stairs for the second time. I am a older lady with asthma so I am hoping the key will work so I can see the room after my second attemp up all 3 flights of stairs. Get there again and the key fails again.!! By this time I am trying hard to contain my composure. I go back and tell her for the second time, she doesn't seem that concern.?? She never attempted to go check it out. She gets up finds a handicap room on the first floor #402 and says you can have this one. I am thinking ok it will do for one night so I take it. A/C worked well it was super hot and I fell asleep after my shower. I woke up to go to the restroom and turn the light on and what do I see??? The biggest ROACH I have ever seen crawling above my bed...I thought I was going to faint, but knew I had to do something. I attempted to hit it and it fell on the floor. I was in shock for a good 5 minutes.Didn't see where it went. I called the front desk and the lady said what room are you in...I will make a note of it.?? Didn't want their breakfast after that. I was out of that room at the crack of dawn. Motel 6 looked crummy and in need of a power wash...but at least I didn't see no roaches there. I was out of Tracy with the quickness and will not be back no time soon. Motel 6 had people actually living there. It was a bad experience for me all the way around. read more

The people at Econo Lodge Tracy were very Thoughtful of my wife and I during a nearly two week stay at the beginning of summer. The Staff was very family friendly, and treated my daughters kids great when they came to visit us. Housekeeping was wonderful, made sure things were clean and tidy everyday, and the overall experience was fantastic. We hope to stay again soon. read more
