I was in the market for rain gutter installation so I decided to call them up for a free estimation. They were easy to reach to schedule a meeting and estimation. We got an agreement for a cost for the project and the start date of Sunday of that week. The workers from the company were quick and careful with how we wanted the rain gutters to be installed. I worked with Isaac and Foster. I had a lot of specific (nit-picky) concerns and they listened patiently and planned to accommodate all of them. My biggest issue was with time and they did pretty much my whole project in 7 working days instead of the 10 day prediction! I paid them to put a drop beam in, but they found a way to hide it in the ceiling! Bottom line: they were fast, actually listened to me, and finished it prettier than I asked for. Good quality of work Daniel was great in going through everything with us, very professional, polite and knowledgeable. He went over everything with us and made sure before he left we were all on the same page. When we did have questions he was quick to return calls and texts, which we greatly appreciated. The guys he sent over to do the work - all of them were nice and did a great job. We had them put in gutters, new drainage and cement but where the water flows out I had a little concern but the worker was quick to place a call into his supervisor, I did with Daniel to discuss issue as well and it was all taken care of the very next day with Daniel telling me, "Just tell me what you want, we want to make sure you are satisified." We were initially looking for roofer to fix leaks on roof and had a hard time getting hold of roofer we were trying to contact. We found ECOSTAR and Roy was able to come by the very next time day. We proceeded with the roof replacement as well as mold remediation with ECOSTAR so we do not have to talk to multiple companies. As promised, the project moved very quick - Roy sent his team to start working on the roof the following morning. We kept in touch with Roy through group text throughout the process for updates and questions. The process was quite smooth and Roy always send the next team as soon as possible so no time is wasted. We used EchoStar remodeling for a replacement of our garage roof, drywall repair due to water damage, backyard turf, stamped patio/ and cement slab trash for trash cans. Everyone on the team from Eran, Tal, Egor, the foreman and team of workers were amazing and great communicators. From our initial appointment to constant follow ups and daily group text messages to update us on the plans for the next day they were always available for questions and concerns. They were very good with protecting our current turf we had installed in the front when doing the new cement work and clean up after the completion of the project was thorough. My only concerns :* *they work really fast so changes are almost impossible, so make sure your plans are almost final before contacting them. *if there is something specific you want , be out there to be sure it gets done( we wanted a stake in the concrete for a gate for our dogs but it was forgotten and too late once the concrete dried when we noticed ). They were very willing to rectify it by adding a screw on the stucco( but I can tell it will need more stabilization already). *roof work they didn't prepare us or put down plastic covering in the garage so saw dust and roofing material went everywhere, we are still cleaning till this day on top of all of our personal items. *the daily workers would leave there lunch trash over night and that was a little annoying because I had to clean it before I let my dogs roam . *I did feel like they tried to up-sale a couple of items ( gutters and extending the cement further) but that's probably a normal sales tactic . They are very professional, affordable and very easy to talk to. We would defiantly recommend there work and there company . They also give you a couple of different financing options as well which definitely came in handy so we can make payments on our projects. read more

Update: These people have integrity issues and have no problem lying to customers. My grandmother was never satisfied with the work and voiced her concerns multiple times over the phone. I even sent an email with the subject line, "I'd need to talk to a supervisor," and was ignored. The manager that responded to this post never reached out to me and I have no idea where this person came from. I had to get involved because an employee by the name if Erik stated my grandmother was "old" and needed a co-signer. In addition, I showed the supervisor May current photos of what was completed and she sent me an email justifying the work which you could still see paint on the toilet, not to mention the multiple harassment calls and emails made to me from this company to try to get this post removed. Then the supervisor, May, tells me over the phone she never knew I wanted to talk to her. Let me show everyone what the current work looks as of today to give everyone a better understanding the integrity these people have. Again, this photos being posted is the finished work that is still the same in the house as of today! These people talk to you as if they care, but they don't. Worst company to do business with. Do not recommend because they hire regular people and charge professional rates. Then you complain to talk to the supervisor and the supervisor shows absolutely no interest to contact the paying party which the company forces you to talk to the "project manager" which supervises absolutely nothing. We hired this company to paint 3 rooms and were told primer and protective material such as take would be used, that was a lie. A picture is worth a thousand words. We recently had EcoStar Remodeling & Construction attach our solar panels, upgrade our Panel Box and do some electrical rewiring. Eden and Aviv, the Project Managers, were always available to make sure everything was going as planned and to explain what was next. We can't say enough good things about their team. First, Gerson, Moses and Ismael arrived to do the electrical rewiring inside the house and upgrade the Panel Box. Oscar also helped out where needed. All went smooth. They were a great team who worked well together. Every day they covered our floors and furniture, swept and vacuumed after to make sure our rooms were kept clean. Next Max and Juan arrived to dry wall the holes left by the electricians. Ishmael and Luis painted after Louis picked out the perfect colors to match our wall paint. Another Luis and Joshua hooked up our solar panels and finally Javier and Alexis filled in the stucco outside around the Panel Box and then repainted. On April 14, 2022, I hired EcoStar Remodeling & Construction to install 12 windows. On the contract, they charged me for 13 windows. They hired a subcontractor. One gentleman who installed the windows damaged the stucco and left gaps in between the windows. After the installation, we soon realized that the windows were defective and would not come off. All of the windows were 2-X windows so both panes were designed to come off. The manufacturer replaced 4 panels. We noticed that the panels had a defective air-gap of a half inch on the top and on the bottom when they were closed. The rain water, insects, and cold air come in through these "Energy Deficient" windows. I spoke to Eron, the job supervisor, who gave me two options: Option 1 is to keep the damaged windows and a $4000 refund. Option 2 was for them to refund the money completely that I paid them, the $11,500 and they take the windows. I told him that I would prefer them to finish the job but they decided they would not do it. I agreed to option 2 for this verbal contract. The manufacturer was not able to repair these gaps in the windows without compromising the functionality of removing the windows. The manufacturer agreed to refund the money to EcoStar instead of fixing the issue. I contacted EcoStar and they said they were not able to honor the contract any longer and would return all the money but $5,000. I had given them a $11,500 deposit. This was against the verbal agreement to refund all my money from earlier (Option 2). I am a senior citizen, 60+ years old on limited income. On their contract, it states that I have to go through a mediator before I take legal proceedings. They assumed that I would not get a mediator or take them to court and they would be able to keep $5,000 and not complete the job. I spoke to the Owner - Mr. Igor Sklyarsky - who told me that this would be their final offer and they would not be able to refund all my money nor complete the job. They kept harassing me and still do to this day trying to convince me that I am wrong and ignorant so I should accept their bribe and clear the contract from their liability. read more

I was told to never buy a car the day you go to the lot. Always tell the sales associate you always need to sleep on a big decision and if they don't allow you to, it's probably better to walk away. Because anyone that doesn't respect that is likely trying to rip you off. I haven't always followed that advice but the older I get, the more I see the value in just walking away from people who don't let you think on major decisions. A rep from EcoStar stopped by my house and offered to quote me on things I'm thinking of doing. I always have stuff that I want to do so I showed him and he said someone will be there the next day to help give me quotes. Instead of giving quotes, they essentially spent 3-4 hours of my day trying to pressure me into a sale. The guy they sent was a nice guy but was trying to convince me to completely demolish my existing working driveway for a brand new driveway for the sole reason that it'll look prettier, when all I wanted was to fill up some gaps and extend it by a little bit. They threw every sleazy sales tactic in the book at me. The typical sales tactics you see from other contractors to pressure suckers into a sale. 1. The "Focusing on monthly payment number rather than full price" 2. The "I have a truck with a bunch of free supplies if you sign tomorrow" where they say they have a job running nearby and you can reuse or use their leftover materials for free if you signed up right now. 3. The "I'm calling in so many favors for you to get it to this price". 4. The "You're twisting my arms but my manager is giving me that price but you have to sign today" 5. The "We'll put our sign up and if you get x number of referrals with the sign, you'll get thousands of dollars off". And using the theoretical number as the hard number, even though it's a risk on your side. 6. The "You said you'd close at this number and I got this number for you" even though I didn't say that number 7. The "If you don't sign today, this number will no longer be on the table" The quote started high absurdly high. Then they used sales tactic number #2 in order to drop the price a high quote, higher than the average in the area but only if I closed that day (This is the tactic every contractor uses, I've seen it so often). I still said no because it was still higher than what i would like to pay for the work. At this point, I had to skip lunch because the quote had taken so long. He then comes back and says he has this magic number (Tactic 3, 4, 5, & 6). I told him I needed time to think about it and he counters with the number is only for today (Tactic 7). The price he gave me was in the middle range of the average in my area (10k less than the original quote, wow!). So it's a price worth considering but it's not an price that's so amazing I have to pull the trigger right now. At this point, the quote was decent for the work that was promised. But I think back to what I said before with the cars salesman. I wasn't about to make a giant purchase like that without sleeping on it. And I'm glad I did because the more I think about it, the more I think I dodged a bullet. The contract didn't specify anything like rebar, concrete type, cuts, brush finished. All these things were just spoken but never written down. And the more I think about it, the more I think do i really want to work with a company that focuses so much on closing a sale. I've worked with another company that used the same tactic and once they were hired, they were non-communicative and left nails everywhere. I'm going to be spending 10K+ on something, I want more time to button up the contract and details before signing. I know lots of contractors do this as I've dealt with lots of contractors that do this. But the more I deal with these types of the companies, the more I'm just done with it. The guy who came out was a really cool guy until the end when i said no. I'm just tired of dealing with contractors that come out for a quote but pressure you for a sale. Just give a quote and leave. Don't waste everyone's time. If you're the cheapest and I think you'll do good work, I'll go with you, simple as that. This whole high pressure sales tactic and taking half of my day for a quote is B.S and I'm sick of it. Not letting people sit and think about major financial decisions is just icky and I think we as a society would be better if we all refuse to work with companies that have that whole "sign today or I'm gonna charge you more tomorrow" attitude. read more

They came out within 24hrs of my first request for an estimate and were super comprehensive in their assessment and very transparent about the work that needed to be done and how long it would take. The came to my door trying to solicit service. The gentleman was very rude. I asked what they did and his reply was "He does houses!" Had very poor social skills. He could not articulate what he was selling. I have cameras and I reviewed the footage, you could see he was very uneasy and pacing at my door. I requested a quote to install sprinklers in my back yard through Home Depot. I received a call from Eco Star Nick came out and first asked if my husband was going to join us I said no then he suggested "astro truf" - I said I wanted sprinklers - I was told I would get a written estimate at the inspection time What Nick said was he didn't want to waste my time and it would be $10,000.00 - my yard is at most 150 ft I felt insulted he was dismissive with my request. Ecostar called me and were given an appointment by me for a quote with a diagram. They are coming from Sherman Oaks to the IE....why?I needed a quote for a restroom and if satisfied they could possibly have a quote for and/or bid for another restroom and kitchen too. The varied prices were briefly discussed for the master bath and a diagram done that was to be emailed to me since I really did not see what was included. The male staff ran my credit without my authorization. No quote or restroom quote was ever given. Two days in a row I received a call about the visit. I explained that I was disappointed in their companies ability to occupy my time without leaving a quote or a diagram of my request. Not to mention why was my credit run for a quote?
